Nyx nodded a little bit, walking with Jude. When he saw Macy, he cooed softly at the cat, snapping his fingers gently at her.

Jude hummed softly as he watched Nyx greet Macy, turning to put the bags down momentarily and unlock the door, holding it open for the cat to wander through.

Nyx reached out to pet Macy as he followed Jude into the apartment, setting his own bags down and looking around the inside.

Jude sighed heavily as he put the bags down and closed the door, running a tired hand through his hair. The sunlight of the late afternoon filtered through the wide windows of his living room, casting a warm glow over the furniture and pictures on the wall.

Nyx looked around happily, glad to be back in a place he was familiar with. He picked up Macy gently, petting her and smiling.

Jude hummed as he made his way to the kitchen, flicking on the lights. "You want anything to drink?" He asked, opening a cupboard.

Nyx looked over. "Oh– just some water?" he asked, looking up at Jude with a smile. Then he looked back down at Macy, cooing to her.

Jude filled two cups with water and put them on the counter, turning around to pet the kitten in Nyx's arms with a happy sigh. "Hm, look at you," He said, smiling down at Macy.

Nyx smiled, and took a sip of water. "She's so cute." he said quietly, looking up at Jude.

Jude smiled, meeting Nyx's gaze before pressing a quick kiss onto his cheek, "Not as cute as you, though."

Nyx laughed softly, smiling up at Jude. "Hmm." he replied, leaning his head on Jude's shoulder and looking down at Macy.

"Mhh, you wanna sit down or somethin'?" Jude softly asked, running a hand through his hair as he looked at his very-comfortable-looking couch, "Or read one of your books?"

"Sit down." He replied, moving to sit down on the couch, Macy still in his arms.

Jude followed him to the couch, sighing as he sat down. "So," He said with s smile, turning to Nyx and petting Macy, "What did you think about the zoo, today? And the uh– belt animals?"

Nyx laughed. "It was fun." He replied with a smile, snuggling into Jude's side, looking up at him. "Thank you."

"You're welcome," Jude said with a shy smile, briefly pressing his lips to Nyx's cheek, "I haven't been there in a while, so I'm glad we went."

Nyx smiled again. "Thank you." he said again, kissing Jude's cheek happily.

"Mhm, you're welcome," Jude said through a laugh, stretching an arm over Nyx's shoulders, "I liked seein' you all happy, especially in the butterfly garden."

Nyx was still smiling as he snuggled close to Jude. "The butterflies were pretty." he replied, looking up at his boyfriend contentedly.

"They were," Jude said with a soft nod, smiling as he thought of the bright colors and patterns that flew around them as Nyx gazed up in wonder. "I don't think It'll be long before flowers start blooming and that field brings a flock of 'em."

He grinned happily at that idea. "Can we go?? When that happens?" He àsked curiously, happily, wanting to see the butterflies.

"Of course," Jude smiled, nodding as he ran a hand through his dark blond hair, "I said so, earlier. When I was younger, they let the wildflowers grow really long and the butterflies would just be drifting around the huge meadow that it'd become. It's nice."

Nyx beamed, kissing his cheek. "Thank you." He said softly, snuggling closer to Jude, still holding Macy. "I can't wait."

Jude smiled, sighing comfortably with Nyx at his side. "You won't have to wait long," He said, "I mean– probably a few weeks, at least. But in the meantime, is there anythin' particular that you wanna do? Besides going to the zoo again."

Nyx smiled softly. "Okay. Uhm…I wanna go to the zoo, and more museums, and…" He glanced down at Macy, thinking. "I wanna watch movies and listen to music and go to restaurants and go out and do things, and…" He looked away shyly when he realized he was saying so much. "Sorry. I…wanna do a lot of things."

Jude nodded along as Nyx listed off the things he wanted to do, smiling with a quiet glint of excitement in his eyes. "No-no, no, don't be sorry," He said with a soft laugh, "I asked, didn't I? –And I like hearin' about what you want. We can do all those things, and more."

He nodded, looking up at Jude with a happy little smile. "And…I want you to teach me more piano, and I want to learn more about the world, and I wanna travel to places, and I want to see all the animals, and…" he trailed off, biting his lip.

"Mhm?" Jude said with a smile and more nods to follow, looking down at Nyx's expression of excitement that made his stomach flutter. His mind flew through all the possibilities and things they might do, eyes alight with enthusiasm and the sense of adventure that he could never get enough of. "We'll do all of that, for sure. What else you wanna do?"

"I don't know." he replied, looking down at Macy shyly. "I wanna do everything I can, though." he bit his lip for a moment, running his fingers through the cat's soft fur.

Jude nodded softly, smiling at Nyx's subtle shyness. "Sounds like a plan," He said, thinking of all the smiles and excitement in the future, "You thinkin' of travelling, too? Like, out of the city and all that?"
