"Oh..Sorry.." His wings and claws would dissapear. "My names Grayson..And as you can see…Im a dragon…" He'd sigh. "Im just so confused.. Why are your clokes black and mine white..? Theres somthing im missing…" He'd continue to talk to himself for a minute and forget that they were there.

@rouxxangel

Somer watched the dragon boy–Grayson, apparently–mutter to himself.
Turning away to talk with Sawyer, she ignored his outstretched hand. "So, as you may or may not of heard, I'm Gwyn," she paused to roll her eyes, "or Gwynael Rennisavirn Kylasi if you want it in full."
"Uh," he finally dropped his hand, and gave a tentative smile, "I-I'll just go w-with Gwyn, i-if you don't mind."
"Of course!" Somer held out her hand to shake, and he glanced at it in confusion. Somer cocked her head, bird-like, and asked him "Do they not shake hands where you're from?"
"N-no…" He looked at her hand suspiciously. "I-I just…"
"Just what, sunshine?" Somer prompted when he didn't continue, a smile playing around the corners of her mouth.
He seemed to shake it off. "N-nevermind." He shook her hand with a shy smile. "I-I'm Sawyer."
"I heard." She smiled. "But I like sunshine better for you. It suits you, and you're cute enough to have a good nickname. Where're you from?"

Shaelynn dropped her stance and stood normally, her claws retracted and she looked at the other three. Her tail twitched as she wondered why everyone was being nice all of the sudden, was it because of the boy? Sawyer? Her ears flattened on her head as she took off the cloak. Her blue eyes still filled with anger, she said in a dead tone, "It's nice to meet you all."

He'd get back to reality and see all of them talking. He'd hear a sound…A differnt sound and he'd pick up the dagger and thow it at its location. He'd hear a yell and say " Oh fu-" Some one would shhot an arrow at his arm..and hit it. Now there was an arrow in his arm. "Could this day get any better.." He'd wince pulling out the arrow. He'd think to himself " Man..My reflexis are good…to good…"

@PaperHats business

Sawyer still sat on the floor, although everyone else stood. His eyes darted to the arrow, then to Gray. He looked back up at Somer, almost like a puppy looking for orders.
“I-I’m from Jadeshire but I don’t think that’s really important right now,” he said, his voice slightly shaky. He gestured to the arrow, his skin still pale with fear and anxiety. The tips of his hair fell to his eyes, not impairing his vision but adding to the puppy-like feel.
Slowly he pushed himself up, still slightly leaning on the wall. Was it for comfort? Could he actually stand on his own? He didn’t know. He just didn’t necessarily want to let it go.

@rouxxangel

"What the hell'd you do that for?" Somer demanded, stalking towards Grayson, leaving Sawyer to sit against the wall on his own.
He looked back at her wide-eyed, "They shot me!"
"Boo-hoo, cry me a river," she snapped. "You threw a dagger at them first. And by the thrice damned stars, why'd you throw a dagger at them?" She crossed her arms and glared up at him. "In case you didn't know, imbecile, daggers are for cutting and stabbing not throwing. Now you've got to go get it, and until then you're weaponless. Honestly, where'd you learn to fight?"
He scowled and pulled another dagger. "I'm not weaponless. And anyways, I'm a dragon," he boasted, "I don't even need daggers."
Somer scowled back. "It's about the principle of things."
He opened his mouth to respond, but she shushed him abruptly and whirled away to face Shaelynn.
"And you. What's your beef? I told you to stop hovering in aspect form if you don't want a fight."
Somer felt her eyes lighten to a reddish gold and her vision shifted suddenly as her pupils turned to slits. Coppery fur appeared across her shoulders and chest, stiflingly hot under her clothes, so she unpinned her cloak, letting it fall to the ground behind her.
She bared sharp canines in a mockery of a smile, and said in an animalistic growl:
"So it looks to me like you want a fight, hmm?"

@PaperHats business

Sawyer simply shoved his face in his hands, trying to stifle a confused scream. It came out as more of a whimper, his face still red with embarrassment.
The feeling of claustrophobia creeped in on him and he felt the sudden urge to get out of the alley. However he stayed put, with head in hands, trying not to cry.
People were after him now? Why? People were after them all? What had he done? Did someone mind-control him? And why?
So many questions ran through his mind as he stood there, still. The quarrels from the others were lost on him, and he was debating running away to go sit by himself and figure everything out.

Shaelynn pressed herself to the wall and hissed, "I can't go into full human unless I'm in moonlight!" Her eyes shifted to Gray and her ears perked up, "What do you mean bounty hunters?! Why would they be after us?!?" She let her eyes switch between to two for a few seconds. "We need to get out of here anyway, I'm sick of that sour smell!"

Deleted user

"You want a fight? You'll have a fight.." He's wings and claws would be back out and he'd fly up "Come and get me..Girl!" He'd stay up there for a second and see bounty hunters with bows and arrows. "Oh..Thats not good.." He'd lowwer down trying to calm down. " The bounty Hunters are here… They were the one's who shot me with the arrows…We have to go.. before they find us..If you want a fight we'll fight later..now its not safe.." He'd growl now turning all black. He'd realize the white cloak was a dead give away so he took it off and put it in a bag and he'd be practicly invisible in the dark allyway.

Shaelynn looked around and turned to Sawyer, "This is no time to cry, we need to get out of here." She pulled a ribbon from her wrist and tied her hair up, she pulled a knife from her belt and said, "Even though we just met, we all need to work together and fight our way out." She glanced at the three of them, "We can't afford to keep fighting each other" She grabbed Sawyer and pulled him from the wall, "We need to go now"

(Woops i deleted it so i rewrote it. Guess I was a bit late)

@rouxxangel

The others seemed ready to panick and run, but Somer growled out, "Wait."
They didn't listen, so she reverted fully back to her human form, and shouted, "Wait!"
They paused and Grayson snarled at her, "What? You have another bone to pick?"
"No, though I'll add your attitude to the list of things I don't like," she snarled back. "But we need a plan, we can't just flop about like a fish out of water. So come over here and circle up so we can talk."
Reluctantly, they obeyed, Sawyer pushing himself up from his spot against the wall, and Grayson and Shaelynn both still looking testy.
"Now," Somer continued, "Who has a weapon? Or magic?"

@PaperHats business

“I-I have a bit of magic,” Sawyer mumbled, looking over at Shaelynn who had grappled his arm. His skin was cold and he was clearly shaking.
“I-It’s a little hard to control, though,” he laughed nervously, rubbing the back of his neck shyly with his free hand. “So I don’t use it often.”
He grit his teeth in sort of a pained anxiety-filled smile, trying to calm himself. Though in this sort of situation, he had no clue how he could.

Grayson looked at them. "Guys.. I've got a better way on escaping..just..everyone hold on to me.." He'd hope he had enough strength to get them out of there. He'd sigh and say "Guys I'll help just hold my hand.." He'd growl, impatient. The hunters would enter the alleyway and he's "NOW!"

Deleted user

Shaelynn grabbed his hand against her own will, so did the others. They shot up in the air as Gray was struggling to keep them up, "We just need to get out of here, quick to that forest!!" She screamed as he shot away from the ally.
(sorry it's a bit short, I wanted more drama)

Deleted user

(Mine are small because I'm on tablet so it's pretty hard to write anything long sorry😧)

@rouxxangel

Sorry this is super long… I swear it wasn't supposed to be!

Once they were well in the air, Somer started squirming uncomfortably as she was dragged through the sky. Loosening her grip on Grayson, Somer looped one arm around the next person within reach. Shaelynn glared at her as Somer grasped her tightly around the waist.
"What are you doing?" the girl hissed angrily.
Somer rolled her eyes. "Hold on, okay?"
"Why?"
"Just trust me, kitty-cat."
Shaelynn reluctantly listened, wrapping an arm around Somer so they seemed to be doing an odd one-armed hug. Somer leaned towards Grayson, and shouted, "Let go of us!"
"What?!" Shaelynn shouted in her ear, "Are you completely derranged?"
Somer leaned away from her irritably, though she didn't loosen her grip. "Scales! Let kitty and I go!"
"No!" he returned, just as loud.
"Fine," Somer muttered under her breath. "The hard way it is."
She pulled a spark of magic to her fingers, rubbing them together as it built into a silvery white ball of energy. Shaelynn eyed her nervously, but Somer ignored her. Abruptly, she pressed her fingers to Grayson's wrist, the magic flowing through him like a jolt of electricity.
"Hey!" His hand flexed on instinct, releasing his grip on Shaelynn.
They fell.
Shaelynn screeched in fear, scrambling to get a better hold on Somer. Somer chuckled in her ear.
"What? I thought cats always landed on their feet," she joked. Shaelynn didn't laugh, and Somer sighed in disappointment.
"Move your hand," she muttered, reaching back to shift one of Shaelynn's hands from her shoulder blade down to her waist. The treetops were getting dangerously close now, and she closed her eyes to focus. Then she twisted her innate magic and shifted her form, just slightly. Russet-feathered wings burst from her back and flapped furiously to regain their lost altitude.
Eventually, they leveled out again, and she raised a hand to wave over at Grayson and Sawyer, who looked… surprised, to say the least. Glancing at Shaelynn, who clung tightly to her, fingers digging into skin and muscle.
"See," she teased the cat-girl, "wasn't that fun?"

@PaperHats business

Sawyer didn’t necessary know what had happened. One moment he was on the ground, the next… well, he wasn’t.
He had to keep from screaming as Grayson flew through the sky, a loose grip on the other boy. His heart was beating incredibly fast and he had to clutch his stomach with one arm to keep from hurling.
He kept his eyes closed tightly, still noticing the shift in weight as Shaelynn and Somer plummeted off. He squinted open an eye, watching as Somer’s wings unfurled. A pang of relief showered him as he realized they were alright.
He glanced up at Grayson, Saw’s skin even paler than it had been before, if that was even possible.
He held on slightly tighter, latching his arm around his stomach with more force as well.

@rouxxangel

( @CoffeeBean, just a quick note, as far as the other characters are aware so far, my character's name is Gwyn/ael. She's made the decision to keep her real name secret for now, which should lead to more fun drama in the future.)

"What the hell was that!?!" She yelled while rubbing the cut on her arm, "Oh please, were fine. It's not like those trees killed us or anything." Gwyn replied pulling the twigs out of her hair. Shaelynn turned and quickly hopped up the tallest tree she could find to scout for the boys. She felt relief punch her in the stomach as she saw them circling towards them getting ready to come back down. Shaelynn jumped out of the tree as they landed on the ground a few yards away from her. "Are you alright, Gray?" She said as she ran over. He grunted as his wings diapered and she gave Sawyer some water and let him sit down. His skin was so pale that it was getting close to Shaelynn's hair color. "That was to dangerous, we need to be more careful. Gray, what were you thinking?! You should have know you can't lift that much weight!"

Deleted user

Grayson would see arrows flying around "They found u-" He'd get shot in the wing and he'd wince and theyed start to fall " OH COME ON IDIOTS THE HELL'D YA HAVE TO DO THAT!?" He'd roar seviral times in pain. They'd eventually crash to the flore and Grayson would Hide his wings for no more damage. Since his wings came from his back and they dissapear, his back would be bleeding.

@PaperHats business

(Yep, I know. I was just using it for identifying purposes for narration. Sawyer has no clue lol)

Sawyer took shaky steps away, trying not to pass out. He walked like he was blind, with arms outstretched and legs unsteady. Slowly he sat on the grass below, breathing heavily. He laid down completely, putting his forearm over his forehead and sighing. He took a moment to lay there, then sat back up.
His eyes were red and scared, and his whole puppy demeanor was back in a matter of seconds. His skin regained a slight amount of color and his heart calmed.
He had cuts and scratches from the arrows, but he paid them no attention. Pain wasn’t something he usually registered in his anxious state.

Shaelynn walked over to where Sawyer was sitting and pulled out a cloth, she grabbed her canteen and dabbed some water on the cloth. She knelt next to him and brushed the hair from his face and placed the cloth on his forehead. She got up and walked over to where Gray was laying and stood above him, "Gray, are you alight? You're bleeding." She winced at the sight of blood and her eyes narrowed.

"Y-ya.. Im fine..Ive..felt worse…" He'd get in a sitting state. His claws would scrach the flore, leaving marks. "Dang that hurt.." He'd get up and say "Get me a long peace of cloth.." He'd get the cloth and wrap it around thewound. "That will hold… but no flying for me.." His claws retracted and he'd stand "There still following us.." He'd put on his white cloak and he'd get up, "We've got to keep moving..this was a miner setback..lets not take it siriusly.."

@rouxxangel

Another long one, sorry, but this should help us lead into some more positive character interactions

Somer's wings folded back into non-existence as she trailed after Shaelynn to where Grayson and Sawyer were sitting. Grayson's wings were also gone now, but their absence revealed bloodied skin and muscle from a lovely collection of arrows. Grayson had tried to patch himself up but it was still bloody and the bandages were too loose.
"Can you find something better for bandages?" Somer asked Shaelynn, tugging away the tied cloth that Grayson had used. She ran her fingers lightly over the wounds, examining the ragged edges. "Dragons heal fast, but we won't want any infection."
Shaelynn hesitated before nodding. Digging through Grayson's satchel, she found the cloak he'd been wearing and handed it to Somer. "Okay, what about water? To clean the, um." She gestured towards the wounds.
"Alcohol would be ideal," Somer glanced up at Shaelynn with a small smile, "but running water will work. Sawyer–"
She looked around for the other boy. "Go with Shaelynn, your anxiety's giving me a headache."
Eventually, the cloak, now in shreds, was wrapped and fastened across Grayson's torso. Shaelynn and Sawyer had returned, after finding a small clearing around a spring, which Somer had deemed not quite clean enough for medical purposes but good enough to make camp around.
So they were there, resting after their ordeal.
Finally, Shaelynn asked Somer, "What is up with you?"
"What?" Somer asked tiredly.
"You're happy one moment, then ready to kill something, then patching up Grayson. That can't be normal moodswings."
"Oh," Somer frowned, "I'm fey. I thought I said that before."
Silence ruled for a moment, before Sawyer asked, "W-why does being f-fey matter?"
"Seriously?" Somer looked surprised. "Fey are hyper-empathetic. And magical."
"So?" Shaelynn prompted.
Somer sighed, "Basically, fey are quote-unquote tuned in to the emotions around them. So we mirror those emotions and," she gestured vaguely with one hand, "amplify other people's emotions. If you're angry, I'm angry, and then we'll both get even angrier. Same with happy, sad, loving, lustful, E-T-C-period. So fights are pretty epic with me around, and," she chuckled, before glancing up at the others through her lashes, "same goes for… more pleasurable activities." She shrugged, "I can dull it down but it takes constant focus."
"S-so," Sawyer started, "when, y-you said th-that my anxiety was giving you a h-headache."
"Yeah, I meant that quite literally." Somer smiled over at him though, "But don't feel bad, you get used to that kinda stuff over time. Now–" she widened the scope of her attention to include the others, and her smile turned wicked, "–anyone else got a secret to share?"

Deleted user

"I got one.." He'd cough. "I was cursed by a witch..I cant ever tell a lie…Thats my secret.." He'd sigh getting to his feet. "Ill be by that tree if you need me…" He'd point over to a blossom tree and walk off huming to himself.

Deleted user

"I guess you could say I have one." Her tail flicked and ears twitched. "My full same is Shaelynn Abner." Abner is a very powerful family known for selling and trading. Their business branched into many kingdoms which made their family very wealthy. Her father is the governor of the outskirts of the kingdom Alcazar, ruling all of that kingdom's trades, trading mostly silks and grain.

@PaperHats business

“M-my father says I can be really powerful when I want to,” Sawyer muttered. “But I’m too s-scared to actually utilize it. I don’t wanna hurt anybody.”
He furrowed his brow, taking a deep breath and closing his eyes for a moment before opening them back up. He gave a small smile, composing his thoughts.
“That’s about it,” he said with a slight newfound confidence. “But we should probably get going before they find us. Whoever they are.”
