Drawing in a deep breath of the fresh air, he whole body relaxed as they came through to the next clearing. "Would I be able to come with you?"
"Yeah, of course." Lucas grinned. "I'd like that, Mel." He took a deep breath as they came into the clearing.
Smiling softly, she pulled him to a stop to pull him into a hug. "I'd love to come with you," She hummed softly, resting her head on his chest.
Lucas hugged her tightly and pressed a soft kiss to the top of her head. "I think there's a waterfall pretty close to here."
Melissa pulled back with a bright smile. "Really?" She asked excitedly, her eyes lighting up with her excitement.
"Mhmm. Just a bit more through these trees. If you're really quiet, you can probably hear it." Lucas fell silent to listen to the distant crashing of the waterfall.
(It's rather difficult to take things seriously, with the replacements.)
Copying his example, she went quiet turning to the direction he was facing. It was quiet, and hard to hear, but it was there. The sound of the waterfall, not too far off. "Can we go see?"
(Yeah lol)
"Mhmm. Of course we can, Mel." Lucas smiled softly and entwined their fingers again as he led her along.
“Great! Lead the way.” She chirped, after he had already started to pull her along. Melissa was getting quite excited, her child-like nature coming through in her bright smile.
She's so adorable… Lucas blushed a bit as he watched her, carefully moving tree branches out of their way.
Ducking under the branches, Melissa looked up to him with her smile. “I’m assuming it’s close?”
"Yes, very." Lucas smiled softly and led her through to the waterfall. "Tada."
The look on her face was priceless. Her eyes grew double the normal size, and her jaw dropped low. "It's stunning!" She shouted over the rush over water, echoing in the clearing.
Lucas grinned, more focused on Melissa than the waterfall. "I'm glad you like it. I don't come here all that often, but it's nice when I do."
"It's like a scene from a movie," She called out again, pulling from his hold to approach the falls. "Though I'd love to see Niagara Falls, this is a close second."
"Mm." Lucas trailed after her, not wanting to be left behind. "Water's not really my thing, but I still think it's pretty."
"Then if we ever go on a trip, we'll find somewhere that works for the both of us… which probably wouldn't be London." She hummed, kneeling down at the edge of the river that flowed after the fall.
"Why wouldn't it be London?" Lucas asked with a soft hum, sitting beside Melissa on the grass.
"It's suppose to be super rainy there, and I don't think there's many places to climb. Though you can swim across the English Channel." She joked, resting her head on his shoulder, as soon as he was sitting.
"Mm. Makes sense." Lucas sighed contentedly and rested his head on Melissa's.
Melissa leaned in, taking his arm and pulling it around her. "Paris is pretty great, not to mention romantic." She whispered to him, lacing their fingers together.
"I've heard it's actually quite dirty, though." Lucas hummed, leaning into Melissa happily. "Switzerland?"
"Isn't it really cold?" She asked, raising an eyebrow with pursed lips. "I've never really like cold weather." Melissa admitted, nuzzling his cheek.
Lucas shrugged. "Dunno. Good chocolate, though. Um… is New Zealand cold?" He asked.
"No, don't think so. The only concerning thing is, I think there's huge spiders and huge parrots." She laughed lightly, trying to think of what she knew about New Zealand.
"I thought that was Australia? I guess they're next to each other, though… hmm… definitely not Russia if you don't like the cold…"
Laughing softly, Melissa continued down her mental list. "It's not out of the states, but we could go to Hawaii. There's beaches, and mountains."
"Mmm… yeah, Hawaii would be nice. Why are we listing places again?" Lucas asked. "I don't remember."
"Apparently now we're going on a vacation we can't afford." Melissa smiled weakly, pulling back from him. "I said something about always wanting to see Niagara Falls, and then we spiraled from there."
"Ah… what if we skipped the vacation part, and we just moved to Hawaii?" He suggested. "It seems to be our favorite option so far."
