Kaden had been hiding in the shadows, his eyes ever watching. Nothing went unnoticed by him. He was twirling a knife in his hand, ready to use it if he had too. He trusted no one, not since his mother threw him out. He had been on the move since then. He made no friends, no lovers. He would take them to bed and then he was gone before the sun rose. His eyes shifted up as someone ran along the rooftops. His eyes lowered as a male came closer, looking worse for wear. He stilled the spin of his knife and gripped it.

Kaz looked around frantically, trying to find his motorcycle. "Shit, shit, shit," he muttered. In his distraction, he ended up full on ramming into someone around the corner. He hit his cut shoulder directly, and he sucked in a gasp as fresh pain shot through his shoulder

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Kaden grabbed the male that ran into him and held a knife to his throat. For all he knew, this male was a threat to him. He needed to be prepared to cut him down. "Who the hell are you and why are you here?" He asked gruffly, his face still hidden in the dark.

Kaz gulped. "I'm just looking for my bike man," he said, trying his best to keep a stutter out of his voice. "I'm unarmed, really." He wasn't armed, at least not in the conventional sense, but the guy holding a knife to his throat didn't need to know that

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

"Are you that stupid that you can't remember where you put your bike? Did you hit your head or something?" He snarled, though he didn't lower his knife. He didn't trust anyone, that's how he stayed all these years.

"For your information yeah, I got hit with a goddamn crowbar before I knocked three guys' lights out! And when they ran off they hid my damn bike!" Kaz snarled. He knew he should be taking a calmer approach to this, but being jumped just a few minutes ago didn't do anything for the anger that was almost always lingering at the edge of his consciousness

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

"Maybe you should be more careful in a neighborhood such as this. There aren't good people here. You should leave while you can." He let go of him and pushed him forward. He shrank back into the shadows. "Forget your bike, someone has probably already stolen it."

@_sleeby_rat_

(I return) Kaz stumbled a little as the guy let him go. "It's around here somewhere, I know it." He turned the corner, the light of a streetlamp hitting his face as he looked around the corner. His eyes lit up as he saw what looked like the end of a handlebar sticking out from underneath a couple of trashbags. He jogged over to it, yanking the motorcycle out from under the bags. It revealed a dull red Honda Rebel with chipped paint and a few dents. He grinned, rolling it out to the street. It looked like the people who had hidden it were going to try and dent it or slash the tires but didn't have the time. "There you are. And not a scratch on you. Well, not one that wasn't already there before."

(ooh for the plot, I was thinking that maybe everyone in the city disappeared except for us and we have to find a way to bring them back?)

Malachai saw one of the men drag out a beaten up bike. It looked quite neat actually. He had never had the chance to ride such a contraption, but it looked fun. Maybe going faster would end up feeling like flying. He was only half dragon, so he didn't have many physical dragon-like traits at the moment. His iris' and pupils were skinnier and he had scales, but that was about it. When told about flying by his father, it sounded amazing. Since then he dreamed of it. His father is in too high of a position in the society of dragons to care for him however and his mother no longer wanted him. Running away, he eventually found this city.
Malachi couldn't make up his mind if he wanted to make his presence known or not. However a trash can falling over next to him, decided for him.

@_sleeby_rat_

(that's a mood lol) Kaz whipped around to find the odd-looking guy from a bit before only a few feet away from him. "Uh…Hi?"

@Painted-Iris group

(He's like 10 btw so)
Malachi's eyes widened in surprize. Darn his luck. The man in front of him didn't seem like he wanted to harm him, but he couldn't be sure. Unsure of how to respond correctly, he simply stared back in response, fear in his eyes.

Kaz turned away. "Alrighty, creepy kid. Great." He righted his bike, hopping on it. He tried to start it a few times before realizing that the gas had been poured out of the bike. He propped it up again, cursing in German as he realized the nearest gas station was a 20 minute drive away

@Painted-Iris group

Malachi looked down at the ground. He was used to being called such things, but Kaz's tone was different.
"I-I'm sorry that I didn't respond correctly. Forgive me please," he called out timidly. Malachi braced himself for punishment if this interaction didn't go well.

@Painted-Iris group

Malachi looked up at the man before him. He wasn't hit…!
"They're…" he started. How could he explain to a normal mortal that his father was a dragon and that his mother didn't want him because of the fact she saw him as an abomination?
"They're just not here…" he finished.

@_sleeby_rat_

(activate Kaz's attempt at being a dad) Kaz sighed, moving his bike back behind the dumpster. He walked over to Malachi, bending down so as not to look so tall. "Are you lost or something?"

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

(What if there's an organization that hunts down supernaturals and they show up and try to take them, but they barely get away and end up in an abandoned building to lie low and heal and stuff?)
