(Here. I'll make the pirate captain.)
Aaron William stood at the front of his ship as it silently glided down to an unsuspecting port. Most people didn't use that name when they referred to him, though. Most people called him "The Grim". He was one of the most notorious pirates that still roam the sky. He earned his name because where ever he went, death followed. The attacks he and his crew made often left little to no survivors.
(What is going to happen with the pirates? Will they be taken prisoner? Be one of the few survivors? Any ideas?)
(Prisoners, maybe? They just end up at the wrong place at the wrong time?)
( I like the prisoner idea!)
(Alright then!)
Brina's heartbeat began to quicken at the sight of the ship gliding in the sky. Now she knew who was lurking in the shadows. She glanced back down at the group prowling in front of the port and sucked in her breath. She reached into her boot and pulled out a small knife. Of course, it wasn't going to do much good against pirates, but it was something. Brina felt something shift behind her as she crept deeper into the silhouette of the crates. Her eyes fell back down to the ground below her just to see that the pirates were no longer there.
(Hello?)
( I'm still here, but I think everyone else decided to give up haha!)
(Oh shoot, I'm still here)
Xander saw the shadow of the ship passing through the sky. He was stricken with fear all of a sudden and looked for a place to hide and see how things played out. Xander took his dagger from his belt and ran into the alleyway between the bar and the next building over. There was a stack of crates back there, but to see everything better, he opted to press his back against the wall of the alleyway. He found himself panting, stricken with fear. His heart was pounding.
I did not come here for this.
(oh, I'm alive lol)
Ace stood her ground as the ship landed in the port. Her gaze remained on the pirate ship as she stood in the streets, prepared to not give an inch of ground.
(agh I kinda forgot about this oops)
The snake around Magnus's neck gave a small hiss as he looked up to see a large ship. Magnus frowned and moved into the shadows of a small shop. Fine, he thought. I guess we're dealing with this today. Magnus had only a small sword, which he had not yet mastered, and his snake for defense. He sucked in a breath. He'd never seen pirates before; he hoped he wouldn't have to, but he had a feeling in his gut that something was going to happen today. Pirates seem to emerge from the docks of the ship as he reassured his pet, his other hand clenched around his sword.
The ship fired a few volleys of cannon balls onto the town before desenging down.
"Remember, don't kill anyone who looks valuable. Bring them back to me." Aaron reminded the crew as they exited the ship.
Delila only noticed the pirate ship after the first volley of cannonballs. She quickly ran off the docks and into an alley way. "Not again. Not again!" She mummbled as she searched for a place to hide.
Xander covered his ears at the sound of the cannons. He saw Delila run into the alleyway and tried to make himself visible.
“Pirates…?” he asked, almost choking this word out.
Ace fired some shots at the pirates, then dove into an alley as a cannonball landed near her.
"Pirates," Ace confirmed.
The crew desended upon the town, killing people and wrecking stuff as they went.
Delila jumped when Xander poked his head out, causing her to knock over a few boxes. They landed with a crash. The pirates would know where they were now.
"Dammit." Ace turned back to look at the others in the alley. "You guys run. I'll try to hold 'em off if they come." Ace turned to face the port, where the pirates were wreaking havoc, and pointed her pistols out of the alley.
Brina swung down off the crates and darted towards an alleyway. Just as she made it to the alley she saw people slip around the corner. She let out a sigh and scanned the alley for an open window or another exit. She doesn't do well in the open, so she would rather fight in the shadows. But, just her luck, there were no windows. She cursed under her breath and went to go after the people.
Crowds of people ran, pushing Magnus along with them. He fought through them though, and decided to go towards the pirates. He knew it was a stupid idea, but maybe he could help whoever needs it. Pirates had already destroyed half of the port, but he saw a small group of people there. They had weapons but didn't look like pirates, so Magnus thought them safe. A pirate, smaller than he was, ran up to him, swinging a sword. Luckily, the pirate was slow and Magnus managed to slice him in the arm with his sword. He looked up to see the hostile crew approaching.
Delila groaned as she used the boxes to help herself. "Sh!t!" She cursed. Her mechanical leg had locked up. "I can't run." She said in a state of panic, looking at the girl who had told them to run. "My leg has locked up."
A group of seven pirates gathered at the entrance of the alley way, having seen several people run into it prior. Delila's hat had blown off so you could see her bright blue robotic eye in the darkness of the alleyway. That eye was exactly what the pirates were looking for.
"Then stay behind me." Ace stood her ground, firing at the pirates. Some of her shots his vital organs, the rest at least temporarily unable to walk.
Magnus set his snake down from his neck, urging the reptile to run from the danger. The snake hissed and curled around his legs. "It's not fault if you die here, then," Magnus muttered. He looked up, expecting to see the group of pirates coming towards him. No, they had left him alone. They had gone towards an alleyway, where that group of people were. He counted six, no, seven pirates as he crept toward them, ducking next to a barrel. He would take them by surprise, but he wouldn't be able to fight them by himself. He hoped the others were decent in combat.
Delila nodded, staying behind Ace. It baffled her the someone was protecting her just for the heck of it, for now. She shook her head. Now was not the time to be thinking about that.
Unfortunately most of the shots she fired only hit the three pirates in the front. The other two quickly attacked Ace, landing a few slashes over her arms and leg. The two that didn't go after Ace grabbed onto Delila and Xander.
Xander lashed out and wrestled himself free of one pirate’s grip, lunging for Delila in hopes of being able to help her get away. He came at one of the pirates holding her, wielding his knife, but one of the others jerked him back by the shoulders.
“Unhand me!” he shouted, still resisting as much as he could.
Ace wheeled around, blood dripping down her arms and leg. She swept her leg low, knocking her attackers to the ground. Ace lunged at the remaining pirates as one of the pirates that had attacked her grabbed her leg, causing her to fall to the ground with a thud.
"Let. Me. Go." She kept her grip tight on her pistols, nobody was going to take those from her.
Delila thrashed in the pirates grip, waving her arms around and kicking her working leg about. She realized he was mostly holding her jacket with one hand so she quickly slipped out to try to get away, only to be grabbed again.
The pirate that was dealing with Xander wrapped his arms around his throat, not choking him but mostry keeping him from moving.
The pirates that were trying to handle Ace were having a bit more trouble, with all of them being on the ground. One kept trying to grab Ace's weapons while the other pinned her feet so she couldn't get up.
Xander kept resisting, eventually finding himself in a choke hold. He found himself starting to sort of hyperventilate, but as hands tightened just enough over his throat, he couldn’t breathe.
A wave of sheer panic passed over. Xander was shaking and petrified, frozen in place. One of the pirates knocked him over on the ground so he lay supine.
Xander had the wind knocked out of him, and lay there, utterly defeated. He was outnumbered. His breathing was heavy, and his heart pounded so fast he though it might burst.
Please just let me live…
Ace continued to struggle, until she had no energy left. The pirates were landing blows on her, so she curled up to protect her head as best she could.
Suddenly, she felt cold metal pierce her side, followed by pain. Ace cried out, but a hand was clapped over her mouth. She felt warm blood dripping down her shirt, and heard it landing on the ground.
For once, Ace was scared.
She tried desperately to stay conscious, but her wounds, and the fact that she was still being beaten caused her to pass out.
Delila panicked and struggled even more that she saw those around her being taken out. Eventually the pirate that was holding her through her over his shoulder, to hold her better.
In the distence a horn blew, signifying that someone was alerting the royal gaurd. It was suprising to hear it only go off now.
"Grab them and let's go." The pirate holding Delila said.
