Jane dropped her smile, pulling back from Caroline. “How do you know about that?” She asked in a hiss of a whisper. She was angry, her jaw clenching as she checked her back pocket for her phone that was still there. “You should not know that. Only people who-” She paused, catching on to what she was doing here. “You’re trying to stop me.” Jane said, seeming more hurt than angry.
" god dammit Jane just let me help you I love you ok?" She said
"How can I trust you? How can you trust me? Both of us have plenty of reason not to trust each other. Why should I give in so easily, huh?" Jane asked, keeping her distance from Caroline. "You say you love me, but can I be sure that's true? If I asked you that a month ago, would you even consider saying you really did?"
"of course Jane I do love you your my sister you were my Best friend" she said
"Besides Lilly. And your favored cousin." She argued back, seeming harshly cold. "I was always the obnoxious big sister anyways. You never wanted me around." Jane muttered, before turning to her gang. "Get everyone out of here. Including the kitchen and guest attendants. You know what to do with Lotus." She whispered the last bit under her breath to Zach, him responding immediately by doing as she asked.
"what are you doing?" She asked with wild eyes
"Don't worry about it." Jane said, watching people start to flood out of the room in silence. Once the room was emptied, Jane looked over to Caroline with a tight frown. "I'm not the bad guy here. I know it may seem like it. But I'm not." Jane insisted, setting her pistol down on the table besides her. "Anything I do, has a reason."
"what could your reason be Jane? She asked
"Answers come to those who wait." Jane commented with a slight sigh. "If I tell you, you'll tell everyone. Then everything I do would be pointless. I'm not some ironic villain." She continued her point, setting her phone on the table next to her gun so she could walk up to Caroline. "Who did you bring with you? I know you're not stupid enough to come alone."
"Like I would tell you unlike you I care about people" she said
"I care plenty. That's why I'm asking. Nobody needs to get hurt Caroline." Jane sighed, holding her hands up to show she wasn't going to hurt her. "Keep away, and no one will get harmed. I'm trying to protect you, there's no need to stop me." She insisted, resting both hands on her shoulders.
"stop the drugs" she said "please!"
"I can't. It's not something I can just cancel, unless you want me dead." Jane snapped, giving up trying to be sincere. "You're not going to stop me. You can't. I have you out numbered, even if you brought along a few friends. Just go home." Jane insisted, seeming like she was practically begging at this point.
Jane didn't follow after her, only turning as soon as Caroline walked out. "Go book the room across from her. Don't let her leave this hotel without your super vision." She told one guy, newly added to the squad. He had dark green eyes, his hair a lighter brown dyed almost the same color as his eyes. "Yes, ma'am." He nodded, quietly following Caroline out of the restaurant.
She walked into the room slamming the door behind her she didn't see Brad and tossed herself on the bed crying
The teen guy followed Caroline until her room. Noting the room number, he quickly jogged off down the stairs to go book on of the rooms across from her. He had caught Caroline just as she had slammed the door. Causing Brad to flinch from his place on the couch. "Baby-doll?" He asked softly, forcing himself to sit up. "What's wrong? Where's Thomas?"
She ignored him crying her eyes out her engagement ring gone
Brad pushed up from off the bed, stumbling to his feet to make it the five feet over to the bed she was crying on. Sitting on the edge of the bed, he slowly rubbed circles into her back tenderly. "Hey baby doll… what's wrong?" He asked more tenderly this time, not sure what to do for her.
"j-jane she's I love her" she cried " she's gonna get hurt"
Brad furrowed his brow a bit, sliding off the bed so he could be face level with her. "What do you mean? Where is this all coming from sugar?" He asked weakly, tilting her head so he could see her face better. Attempting to wipe away her ever coming tears, he watched silently as her makeup smeared down her face.
"i have to help her" she said "she has to sell the drugs or she'll die" she said
"How do you know this? Did you talk to her, today?" Brad asked softly, still seeming rather confused. This was all news to him, considering Thomas wasn't around… and he had a pounding headache.
She cupped his face the metal of her ring gone
"Come on babe, please-" His voice stopped as he gently pressed both hands to hers. He didn't feel her engagement ring, and slightly panicked on the inside. Pulling her left hand away from his face, he looked down to see her bare finger. "Where's your ring?"
" I went to confront Jane so Thomas could get away and I thought I was going to die I gave it to Thomas" she said
"You… you gave it to Thomas? So he could break the horrible news to me?" He asked weakly, trying to hold himself together. "And he didn't even come back…" Coward. That was the first thing he thought, trying to keep from getting angry.
She kissed him gently holding onto him her hands shaking
Brad pulled back from the kiss, looking in to her eyes with a pained expression. "We need to find Thomas. We don't know where he's at." Brad told her, really not wanting to have to leave the comfort of the room. He felt sick, and was beyond tired. But Thomas's safety was more important than his health at the moment.
She closed her eyes"stay here I'll get him" she said getting up heading for the door
