She shook her head with a smile "Nothing" she said

"Oh- you just pulled away, and I thought… never mind. If you're good, then I'm good too." Brad hummed, as he pulled up a bright smile. "We're both happy."

She smiled "we can't exactly make out right now" she said

"Well, why not? Just because they don't have as beautiful of a girlfriend as I do, doesn't mean I can't kiss you." Brad pouted teasingly, pulling her in to a hug.

She giggled barrying her head in the crook of his neck

"I love feeling you… I love holding you close." Brad whispered, giving her a light squeeze before pulling back. "I just love being close to you."

"And I love you Brad" she said

"You mean everything to me, darling." Brad whispered, running a hand through his hair with a sigh. "I can't see you, not in my future."

She let go of him "What?"

Giving her an odd look, he replayed the sentence in his head. "I- I meant, I can't imagine a future without you. I can't see you, not being there."

"O-oh?" She said with a small sniffle

Brad started to panic mentally, and tipped her chin up. "What's wrong? I- I can try to fix it, I really don't want you to cry." Brad whispered, feeling a tight knot in his chest. Clearly he had something wrong. He just didn't know what exactly.

"Your exact words were I can't see you, not In my future it sounds like I don't want you apart of my life anymore hey I don't love you anymore there's another girl I don't want to marry you anymore" she said

"That's… not what it sounds like to me…. wait… now I've confused myself." Brad mumbled, dropping his head in his hands. "I want to marry you. I want you to be mine forever. I love you, with my whole heart. I want you in my future. I can't see you not being there. I want a future with you." Brad promised her, lifting his head up. "I'm unable to see you, not being there. You are in every fantasy I have about the future. My kids, are your kids. My house, is our house."

She sighed she wrapped her arms around. Him Barry her head in his chest

"I promise, I don't love anyone else. You're the only one I love." Brad whispered, resting his head on hers with a soft sigh. "I love you, and I don't want to lose you."

" you won't I promise" she said

"I really thought I screwed up though…" Brad whispered weakly, pulling back. "I thought I really, really hurt you."

"at first I was" she said

"You're not… not still upset, are you?" Brad asked her softly, pulling back just a little bit.

She shook her head

Nodding, he kissed the top of her and slowly led her back up the beach. He kept quiet until they reached the rest of the group. "Everything alright, you two?" Kaylee asked, in her usual peppy tone.

Caroline nodded staying behind him

Brad nodded as well,sitting on the porch steps. "Peachy keen." Brad hummed, patting his lap for Caroline to sit in. "Can I get either of you anything?" She offered, pouring a glass of lemonade.

Caroline sat on brads lap "No thanks kales" she said

"Just let me know if you need anything. Water, snacks, anything." Kaylee hummed, carrying the two drinks over to some other friends. When she walked away, Brad rested his head on her shoulder with a sigh. "I love you."

"I love you too…Hey I got your ring from Lily" she said

"You did?" Brad asked her softly, lifting his head back up and saw the ring. Smiling softly, he kissed her cheek tenderly. "Well, now it's official, official."

"What is?" She asked with a smile, playing dumb but she obviously knew she just wanted to hear him say it

"That you, my darling, are going to be my wife. We're going to get married, and live together. Happily ever after." Brad hummed, nosing her cheek gently.
