"Alright." Lucas obeyed, fidgeting a bit as he did so. "Does it feel weird?" He asked, looking down at Melissa without tilting his head back down.
"Alright." Lucas obeyed, fidgeting a bit as he did so. "Does it feel weird?" He asked, looking down at Melissa without tilting his head back down.
"Maybe for a minute, but really not that weird." She shrugged, squeezing some of the cream onto her fingers. Gently, she carefully started to apply it to his skin. "Let me know if you want to take it off."
Lucas shivered a bit at the strange sensation, but tried his best to keep still for Melissa. "It's coooold…" He whined playfully.
"Oh relax you baby," Melissa joked back, poking the tip of his nose with the cream. "If you give it a minute, you'll be use to it."
Lucas huffed and closed his eyes, not wanting to get any of the cream in them. "How long does this stay on?" He asked. "Does it just soak into my skin or something?"
"No, we'll take it off in about half an hour." Melissa smiled pulling back from putting the cream on his face. "Do you wanna do mine, or not? I don't care either way."
"Um… I can try if you want me to. It might look kinda bad, but I'll do my best." Lucas shrugged, resisting the urge to touch his face.
"It's a face mask, it isn't like I'm going to a ball." She teased, handing over the bottle. "Don't stress about it, just do your best."
"Alright, alright…" Lucas got a bit of the cream on his hands and hesitated before gently beginning to apply it to Melissa's face.
Smiling softly, she felt a shudder rub up her own spine at feeling the cold cream on her face. “You’re so gentle.” Melissa hummed, relaxing at his touch.
"Well, I don't wanna hurt you or anything…" Lucas carefully moved the cream up under Melissa's eyes, making sure not to actually touch them.
“It was a compliment, it feels nice.” She hummed, fluttering her eyes closed when he traced under them. “It’s funny how different people are, it’s just a cool thing to think about.”
"Mhmm." Lucas took a lot longer to apply the face mask to Melissa than she'd done with him. He wanted to make sure it was perfect. Eventually, he'd applied an even coat and seemed to be satisfied. "How does that feel?"
“It feels just perfect.” Melissa smiled at him, glancing at her fingers still covered in the cream. “Why don’t we go wash off our hands, so we don’t get this stuff everywhere.”
Lucas nodded and carefully got up, closing his hands into fists so he wouldn't make a mess. After a second of consideration, he held out his hand to help Melissa up. "We're both a mess, anyways."
Laughing just slightly, she took his hand so she could stand up. It was an odd feeling, both their hands kind of slimy from the cream. “Come on, let’s go.” She hummed, loosely lacing their fingers to lead him along.
Lucas allowed her to drag him along, smiling softly. He let Melissa wash her hands first and then washed his own. "It's so hard to get off…" He whined playfully. "It's all slippery and weird. Oily or something."
Having already dried her hands off, she sighed with a small smile. "You need some help?" She asked him softly, taking a glance at her face in the mirror. He had certainly done a good job.
"Um… nah, I think I'm okay. Thanks, though." After another minute, he managed to get it off and sighed softly.
Carefully, she slid her arms over his shoulders gently. "Are you alright?" Melissa asked softly.
"Yeah, I'm fine, Mel." Lucas looked over his shoulder at her, smiling softly. "Just tired. When did you say we could take this off?"
“Between 25 and 30 minutes.” Melissa whispered, pulling back from him with a sweet smile. “So not too long.”
"Mm…" Lucas yawned a bit and turned around, leaning back against the counter. "What do you want to do until then?"
She paused to think, when she remembered that she had mentioned stargazing earlier. “We could go back up to the roof, and watch the stars.”
"Sounds good to me." Lucas smiled gently and took Melissa's hand, following her back up to the roof. "It's so pretty out here…"
“It really is…” Melissa sighed out softly, giving Lucas a sweet smile. “I’ve always been fascinated with the world around. There’s so many mysteries and marvels.”
"Mhmm." Lucas sat down on the roof and looked up at the stars. His blue eyes reflected the little pinpricks of light. "Very pretty. Just not as pretty as you."
Thankful for the face mask, and the darkness of the sky, her face flushed immensely. "L-Lu!" She squeaked, trying to swallow the lump in her throat.
"Hmm?" Lucas looked over at Melissa, seeming a bit confused. "Did I do something wrong?" He asked.
After a couple seconds that she was unable to find words, she slumped down next to him. So badly she wanted to hide her face in her hands, but as of the moment she couldn't. "N-no….I just…" Still not sure what to say, she shook her head to reply to his question.
