(Ah! Thank you! That makes me so happy! ;^;)
(Speaking of which— looks through piles on piles of unused and thrown way ideas for roleplays —if I do find one interesting enough, I’ll tell ya)

”That was… quick…” Evelyn had a small raised brow. She didn’t exactly question how he’d managed to change so quickly. She did, however, realize how vulnerable he was in board daylight. Which was why she pulled him along, towards the shade of one of the warehouses.
”We don’t really have a place to start just yet. Our only hope is to find someone who actually knows the through around here,” she stated and surprise, surprise, andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) had to show up just in time.
He gave Nightmare a really quick glance, ‘faking’ a concerned sight.
”Lynn—“ he started which immediately startled Pastel ”—I only know that the warehouse they’re in is Warehouse 52… though…” he glanced around ”—not all of the warehouses are numbered and they’re not in order” he claimed.
Evelyn was shocked by his presence for two reasons. One, because someone appearing out of almost nowhere would’ve startled any sane human being and two… because Zeke was here.

However, it did not seem like andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) cared much about Zeke’s presence. Maybe he was genuinely careless or he just did not care.
”Splitting up would be the greatest way to look for that specific warehouse” the police officer mentioned. Wandering off on his own to search for that numbered warehouse.

(In said warehouse…)

”Curse them…” Eclipse murmured, seeing Nightmare, Pastel, and the police officer Cyclone together and looking for the warehouse.
He returned to the first floor of the warehouse and went to his phone.
”Yeah…” he started with the phone call ”… come here, both of you. We’ve got visitors,”

@Moriarty

"Splitting up," Zeke muttered so that andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) couldn't hear. "Doesn't this guy ever watch movies? Splitting up never works. Too dangerous and stupid. Someone always gets killed. Except for in Scooby-Doo, but that hardly counts." He let out a short huff through his nose, an irritated one. His anxiety about trusting other people were as strong as ever, but, they were always like that, so this wasn't out of the ordinary. Even so, he wasn't willing to split up from Evelyn. No sir. Let andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) go wander by himself all he wanted, but Zeke hated that plan. "I think we'll find it just fine together if we're quick enough. He'll tell us if he finds it."
Nevermind the fact that Zeke was expressing that he wanted to stay with Evelyn like a protective boi.

@CasiCasino group

(Can we just acknowledge the fact that Zeke, of all people, watched Scooby-Doo and managed to make a reference even I can confirm XD)

Evelyn almost laughed at the last part of Zeke’s speech. So much for bringing up an example. She nodded and glanced around carefully. There has to be something to help locate the victims. That was when something clicked. She had read through a list of Wisteria’s sidekicks before, one of them being the easily irritated Eclipse. If she remembered correctly, that man would go insane if the sun were to disappear suddenly or in other words, the sky turning completely dark.
She turned to Zeke and absorbed the blackish colors of his clothing.
She gave him a small smile before releasing an aura built up.
”Complete Blackout…” she muttered, covering the whole harbor and its many warehouses in complete darkness.
A loud voice was heard from somewhere to the left of Evelyn which consisted of less than twenty warehouses. That wasn’t a coincidence, that was Eclipse.
”Let’s go” she invited, well… dragging Zeke along towards where the sound came from.

(In the warehouse…)

Eclipse cursed out loud to himself, not wanting to do that. One of his powers was night vision. At least that was useful here.
He went over to the victims and scowled them a bit, taking his anger out on them.

”Smart…” Arachnid watched from afar. Again, being on top of a rooftop nearby. He then used his metallic legs to propel himself towards the grouping of warehouses.

@Moriarty

(XDDDD Just imagine Zeke alone in his apartment late at night, depressed, sitting on his couch in the dark with only the glow of the TV– specifically Scooby-Doo– to light the room, and him just staring at the screen with bloodshot eyes like, "Fred– You moron! Why the crap are you telling them to split up again? You know Shaggy and Scooby always get chased by the bad guy! Ya jerk. And why do you conveniently always take both of the girls with you while Shaggy gets stuck with the talking dog?" And then he like angrily throws a handful of popcorn at the screen, tugs his blanket up over his shoulder, and keeps watching it anyways because he has nothing better to do and he can't sleep)

Zeke, too, being nocturnal as he was, naturally had incredibly sensitive eyes– which meant he could see in the dark. He was fairly certain this one was the favorite of all her powers. He'd have to tell her that later, but for now, they had other things to focus on. He followed Evelyn as she tugged him along, watching their now darkened surroundings with a cautious eye, already prepared to fight someone if need be.

@CasiCasino group

(Oh gawd XD)

They would soon come across a warehouse where the sounds of mumbled screams were coming out of.
”Here…” she mumbled, absorbed the Blackout ability and transferring all that darkness into Nightmare, boosting his abilities it seemed.
She opened the doors to the warehouse, finding Eclipse and the thirteen captured people of different ages and genders inside.

”Well well… look what have we here?” he teased, lifting the dagger from beside one of the victim’s neck.

Evelyn nearly gagged at the sight of the thirteen people. They looked awful and their eyes were filled with both tears and fear. But thankfully, she was here and Nightmare was here as well.

”Let’s see… Nightmare? And…” his eyes narrowed at the hooded female figurine.
”Whoever that is…” he shrugged and smiled maniacally, throwing his dagger towards them, aiming for Nightmare’s head.

@Moriarty

Zeke shuddered at the weird sensation as she somehow transfered the darkness into him. It felt odd. Kinda tingly. He didn't even know that was possible.
But he didn't have time to worry about that because there was a dagger hurdling straight towards his face. Thank heaven for his quick reflexes– and that the dagger wasn't a bullet, since those travel too quick to dodge. He managed to swiftly dodge the dagger, glaring at Eclipse as he grabbed his own classic knife and fingered it.
Zeke barely cast a glance towards the people who were tied up– because it was a sad sight, and wondering what they'd been through only made him sad.
He wondered how this person went to sleep at night, considering all of the horrible things they were helping do to these people. Heck, Zeke only killed bad people, didn't even torture them, and he couldn't go to sleep at night.
People like Eclipse made Zeke sick. They were monsters. True monsters.
Repulsive, vile creatures.
Shadows swarmed around him, as they tended to when he fought people. It was a reflex at this point. Anger and pity fueled him, though he managed to stay as stoic as ever as he lunged towards his foe, knife in hand. Unintentionally, his mind was already seeking out Eclipse's fears, hoping to arouse them and torture the man with them.

@CasiCasino group

Somehow, nothing can be sensed from Eclipse’s mind. Nothing this man had right now could be classified as ‘fear’. When Nightmare rushed him, he managed to barely dodge and smack Zeke’s elbow before sending him flying.
”Now, now, we can talk through this…” Eclipse said coldly, summoning a small moon-like sphere on one hand and a sun-like one on the other.

Evelyn had to look around, there had to be something she can absorb whilst Eclipse was distracted. She couldn’t find anything extremely interesting… until…

”Now now, Nightmare…” he presented the sun-like sphere to Nightmare, letting it shine its light onto him. Eclipse then heard something metallic coming from the other side of the warehouse.
”Eh—“ as he heard, he was faced with a barrage of metallic vines, pushing him against a wall of the warehouse.
Evelyn managed to absorb the silverly color of her glasses, using it as metallic colors.

Once Eclipse was pushed against the wall, Lynn cut the metallic vines off of herself, locking him in place. His powers weren’t exactly useful in these sorts of situations.
She rushed to Zeke to help him up.
”We have to get them all out, somehow,” she looked at the thirteen people, some of which were children of a young age.

”Heheh… haha…” Eclipse managed to let out a soft laughter.
”Get them boys—“ he said softly as a pumpkin-shaped bomb was thrown towards Evelyn and Zeke.

She managed to pull Zeke away from the bomb which when exploded, left a layer of green flames.
”What an interesting scene…” Jack o’ Lantern, a villain known to be sociopathic commented from the warehouse’s second floor, throwing a bomb similar to the one earlier up and down as if it was a ball. Beside him was the inhuman villain Vortex whose, true to his name, head was a large open void with layers upon layers of teeth inside, spinning around with much aggression.

They both jumped down and landed near Eclipse.
”Oi, you two, get me ou—“ Eclipse’s words were cut short by Jack o’ Lantern’s gun pointed straight to his head.
”I’m fed up with you so you can just shut up while we’re at it…” the pumpkin head villain spoke coldly before pulling the trigger, shattering Eclipse’s skull without much remorse.

”Now… it’s a 2v2… a fair fight…” Jack said as Vortex let out an aggressive screech. This was going to be… interesting.

@CasiCasino group

(Why do I feel like I’m including too many characters? Is that bad? I’ll stop if it’s too much. I’m just used to controlling twenty characters or so at once :>)

@Moriarty

(I think extra characters add variety to a RP, so I don't mind one bit! You use as many characters as you want. As long as you can play them, I don't care if you have thirty-two XD. If it makes you feel any better, this one RP I did with my best friend IRL started off with each of us using only one character, and now I have over a dozen in that one RP. We got so many that we loved that we now have 5 different RP threads based off of the one original one, and the original one is still going too. So trust me– I love them extras! <3)

Spots of light and color were still dancing across Zeke's vision from the blinding light Eclipse had used, but he could see enough to know that they were in a pickle. But, hey, at least Eclipse was out of the picture… That guy was starting to creep Zeke out.
Though, the ungodly screeching coming from Vortex wasn't much better.
Zeke straightened himself, glaring at each of the villains and casting a glance towards the prisoners, trying to formulate some plan to get them all out. He stayed close to Evelyn– some subconscious need to make sure he didn't abandon her and let her get hurt, even if she seemed to be as capable than Zeke at this point, if not more capable. Of course, he'd never admit that.
Zeke snorted through his nose, sure that neither of these psychotic freaks were going to have any good fears for him to use against them. No matter. He had knives and a gun, though he preferred using the former, one of which he readied in his hand once again before launching it at Vortex's… weird mouth-head.

(I shouldn't be amused by the fact that Vortex is screeching at them, because that should be terrifying, but like?? I'm insane and very much amused. XD)

@CasiCasino group

(I was thinking that Vortex’s screech would sound something like… a Wendigo? Then again, we’re both not sane to some degree so :/)

As his name would suggest, the knife went into his… abomination of a mouth and completely disappeared. That wasn’t gonna work would it. Of course, being a mutated, Vortex had low self-control and upon being attacked by Nightmare, rushed at him and tried to swallow him whole if that was what he was hoping to do.

Jack o’ Lantern, on the other hand, took the time to attack Evelyn who was seen as a more threatening foe at the current moment. He summoned two of his pumpkin bombs, both of which he threw at Lynn.

Pastel gave Zeke a very quick glance before reaching out her hand to absorb the color black. The warehouse was small yet big enough to use the lower tiered abilities.
”Blackout—“ she managed to mutter as the entire warehouse turned to complete darkness. She was getting tired with this changing of colors but it was needed. Before the pumpkin bombs could explode on her and cause further damage, she absorbed the silver color of her glasses again and threw the bombs outside into the water using the same metallic vines she used to trap Eclipse.

Something the two villains who came in did not realize or did not think through was their visual and structural design. Jack o’ Lantern’s head was glowing in the dark and was easily seen. Vortex did not glow in the dark but he would make gurgling noises every now and then.

Vortex’s attack stopped when the warehouse turned dark, he couldn’t see a single thing and it was bad for him now that he was perhaps not 6 feet away from Nightmare, known to be a nocturnal villain by nature.

@Moriarty

(Ordinary people are boring, so being insane is the best.)

Zeke was upset that his knife had been essentially eaten by his adversary. That was a first, truth be told. But, the good news was that he managed to evade getting swallowed whole, and that everything had went dark thanks to Evelyn– because that gave Zeke the advantage. The only problem now was that he had no clue how to kill Vortex. He pulled out his gun, debated on aiming it towards Vortex's weird head before thinking better of it and sending the bullet through the monster's chest instead, aiming right for his heart. Assuming Vortex had one, that is.

@CasiCasino group

Upon getting shot, Vortex stumbled back, reaching to his chest where he had been shot. Blood was present and before he knew it, Vortex had fallen onto the floor, presumably dead.

The pumpkin head wasn’t extremely fond of the sound it seems as he threw his glowing pumpkins towards the direction of the falling sound. That bomb did nothing to his advantage, hitting almost nothing but the floor.

Evelyn wanted to fight Jack o’ Lantern herself but decided against it. She had more potential in saving the hostages than Zeke. As she knew where he was, she silently walked up to him and whispered: ”You can take care of him, I’ll go get them” she stated before silently walking towards the hostages.

Jack o’ Lantern was still looking around, a bomb in each hand ready to throw at anyone who he sees close. His night vision was definitely not as great as the rogue nor the infamous.

@Moriarty

"Okay. Be careful."
Zeke had no idea what caused the bombs to detonate or whether or not it would do him any good to approach Jack o' Lantern, but he did anyways. He teleported nearby and swiftly kicked one of the bombs out of Lantern's hand and sent it launching towards his pumpkin head. Whether or not it would detonate on impact, Zeke had no clue, but he teleported himself out of there immediately to avoid either the blast or the Halloween themed villain's rage if the bomb happened not to explode.

@CasiCasino group

The bomb did not detonate but at the same time it would seem like the villain was confused as to what hit him. Maybe that was because when he moved around he couldn’t find anyone. When the Jack man moved around, a part of skin was shown on the back of his neck. And that seemed to be his only revealed part.

@Moriarty

(Okay so I know I need to stop making new RPs but I'm debating on making one in a bit, and I'm still working out the kinks, but– it's a little bit dark but it's fine. Anyway I'm not sure if I'm going to do oxo or a small group but either way I was just going to let you know that if you wanted you're welcome to it when I make it. And if you don't that's also 1000% fine.)

Zeke noticed this and decided to take advantage of the situation. Even though his knife had been swallowed by Vortex, that wasn't his only one, and a nice stab to the back of the neck– right in the spine– would be enough to kill the villain. At least, he hoped. He attempted it, anyways, rushing the guy from behind and driving the tip of the blade deep into the revealed part of Jack's skin.

@CasiCasino group

(I’m, personally, in love with dark stories. Yes I’m interested and now I’m starting to understand what you mean by ‘too many roleplays to reply to’ ( • •”) )

Jack o’ Lantern let out a pained cry, falling on the floor with his bombs still at hand. Thankfully, they did not detonate.

Evelyn, noticing this, allowed the darkness to once again be transferred to Zeke’s body. She had untied most of the hostages, well, all but one. The remaining one was a boy who looked like he was around seven or eight.

”Alright, I’ll get you ou—“ Lynn’s words were cut short by a pistol barrel pressed against her head. Eyeing who it was, she saw the glorious purple hair of Wisteria.

”Good afternoon… dear…”

@CasiCasino group

(Speaking of a dark and messed up roleplay, are you interested in joining my newest roleplay? I know you don’t usually do mature stuff but you might be interested in the storyline? It’s called “Be Our Guest” in here, the Limited section. You might wanna read through the notes first though, just curious XP)

@Moriarty

(All of the stories I write are usually pretty dark in some way, shape, or form, because darkness is great. My roleplays are generally bit lighter just because some people are more explicit than I am. I don't mind dark, I just try to avoid vulgar things if I can. But yes, the RP thing is a struggle. I currently have like 16 or 17, and right now there are 10 notifications staring at me with disappointment XD)

Zeke's eyes grew wide, and panic nearly stopped his heart when he saw Wisteria's gun against Evelyn's head. He pulled his own gun out and pointed it at Wisteria, though he was too afraid she'd shoot Evelyn if he came any closer. And there was no way he could teleport faster than a bullet could go through poor Evelyn. "Shoot her and I'll blow your brains out," he threatened, narrowing his eyes. Shadows swirled around him, aroused involuntarily by his anger and internal stress levels. "Actually, no. Shoot her and I'll make you wish I'd blown your brains out."

@CasiCasino group

Evelyn couldn’t move and the boy in front of her was equally as scared as she was, trembling in fear.
”Why?” Lynn asked, Wisteria raising an eyebrow.
”Why did you this to these people?”

”Heh… you won’t understand dear. Business is a critical topic to talk around here. And to show how serious I am about the business around here, just remember that I hired two villains to be my secretaries” she answered, looking once at Zeke.

”So… she means a lot to you…?” she nudged the pistol hard onto Lynn’s head, giving her a clear headache. ”Would be a shame if her head was to be blasted, right?” she asked.

@Moriarty

Zeke scowled behind his mask, tensing up, his finger hovering precariously against the trigger. "Would be a shame if someone ripped out your heart and shoved it down your throat, right? Don't think I won't kill you slowly and painfully if you shoot her," he warned darkly, not really caring if sounded malicious or not. Because right now, he was malicious. Evelyn's life was on the line. He'd rip this woman apart if he could get close enough. His heart pounded a thousand miles and hour, and the shadows seemed to grow more intense with as adrenaline pumped through his veins. "I'm not a hero. Since you aren't either, I won't have a single problem with watching you suffer. And I most certainly don't make empty threats."

@CasiCasino group

Wisteria gave a surprised expression before smiling. That grin quickly turned to a laugh.
”THAT has gotta be one of the most absurd things I’ve ever heard you said, Nighty” she smiled maniacally.
”You? Fighting for justice? In your dreams really” she stated clearly her stance.
”With that said…” she turned back to Evelyn, finger on trigger ”…goodnight dear” she said, pressing on the trigger and…
”Hm?” it seemed like the pistol was clogged or was malfunctioning as it didn’t fire even though it was loaded. The sound of something traveling through the air at high speed can be heard.
Wisteria turned to see where the sound came from, only to be stabbed through the heart by a knife that presumably flew in the air.
”What?!” she managed to let out as she was lounged to the ground, her pistol sliding to a young man’s foot.

”Old people die hard, they say…” the young man said, pointing the gun at Wisteria. He was one of the hostages who had his powers locked when his hands were tied. Wisteria looked up at him, her eyes filled with rage.
”Apparently that was just a myth—“ he said coldly before firing straight into Wisteria’s skull. Spinning the pistol once, he threw the weapon somewhere else within the warehouse.
Looking at Zeke, the young man eyed him menacingly.
”Long time no see… Nightmare…” he said coldly, hands in his pockets.

(andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) Carter, Villain “Ironhead”)
(Ability: Ferromanipulationandrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) can control anything with iron as a material within a 50 meter radius from himself. However, he can control, at most, three items at once)

@Moriarty

Zeke had been so close to pulling the trigger. He wondered if Wisteria could see it in his eyes. The desire he had to kill her. To make her pay for what she'd done. For hurting all of these people. Torturing them. For threatening Evelyn.
His breath hitched when he thought she pulled the trigger. He thought he'd pulled his too, in that moment, but apparently he'd just froze up like a coward, waiting to have a heart attack and watch Evelyn slump to the ground with a bloody bullet wound in her head.
Except she didn't.
Ironhead turned the tables pretty quickly, and Zeke was more than relieved to see Wisteria dead. But now his concern shifted to her killer. Just because he had killed Wisteria didn't mean he was necessarily on their (and, yes, he is now referring to himself and Evelyn collectively in his mind) side. Zeke eyed the villain in return, his own eyes sharp, his heart still thumping from his internal panic from seconds ago when Evelyn came this close to dying.
Ironhead had saved her.
Zeke said nothing. Thanks didn't seem to be quite enough, and given the stare Ironhead was currently giving him, Zeke wasn't sure if the guy wanted a thank-you. But, still…
He cast a glance to Wisteria's dead body.
"Thanks for that," he said, somewhat coldly– though he did mean it. Maybe he just didn't want to seem sentimental. "Could've done it a couple seconds sooner, though." He didn't take his eyes off of Ironhead, though he did teleport to Evelyn to make sure she was okay. She was his priority at the moment, whether he dared to admit it or not.

@CasiCasino group

(First point to clarify, this isn’t the same andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) as the police officer. They just have the same name so for this dude, I’mma just call him by his alias and not his name)

All in response to Zeke’s words, Ironhead yawned, covering his mouth. Being perfectly honest to himself, Ironhead really wanted to kill Pastel as well considering what she had done to him a couple of weeks ago before being kidnapped here. However… he dared not to. Not because Evelyn was strong or that he was afraid of her. No. That was not it.
He saw it, the care Nightmare had for the rogue was something he’d never seen from a man like him. He was going to just turn the tables another time, that’d be insane. Then again, he’s still mad about losing to Evelyn when they were fighting in a factory where he should’ve had the advantage.
Ironhead sighed, looking at the other hostages.
”What are you waiting for? Go home why won’t you?” he scowled at them, a mixture of annoyance and worry was clear in his tone.

”Thank you…” one of the other twelve hostages who were all younger than him, said to him with a shaky tone as if they were about to cry. What Ironhead wasn’t expecting was what followed.

A bullet gone through his calves, making him fall down.
”Boy… you’ve got a lot… to learn…” Wisteria slowly stood up, fully healed it seemed. She turned back to Evelyn and Nightmare.
”You two don’t belong together and you know that, stop being a nuisance and stop bringing fake justice into my life—“ she pointed the pistol at them, firing twice without second thoughts.

@Moriarty

(I didn't think it was the same but thanks for clarifying so that I didn't think I was going bonkers. Also– Wisteria coming back to life is kinda eerily epic and I love it. rubs hands together diabolically Soooo how do we want this to go down? :>)

@CasiCasino group

(I was thinking of something like Zeke holding onto Lynn and dodging with her in his hands. Something like that, make it look like he cares)

@Moriarty

(Soft boi to the rescue)

When Wisteria suddenly rebounded, Zeke's immediate reaction was simple: protect Evelyn. There was no time to think about it. There was only a short moment for action, that short moment from the time she shot Ironhead in the leg to the moment she was up with the gun pointed at him.
He couldn't teleport faster than a bullet. Could he?
No.
But he had a split moment where he knew what was coming. Maybe he was fast enough. Maybe–
He didn't think. He only acted. He grabbed Evelyn and immediately teleported both of them towards the exit from whence they'd came. Anywhere to get away from that gun. Anywhere to protect Evelyn.
The sound of gunfire echoed through the warehouse.
When they reappeared out of the gun's range, Zeke was full-on clinging to Evelyn, his heart pounding. "Evelyn–" he breathed, almost frantically as he immediately released her so that he could see if she was injured. If she had any injuries. If there was a bullet hole in her. If he'd been fast enough.
He had been fast enough.
He was so relieved he lost his breath, but there was no time to enjoy said relief. Wisteria was still here. These people were still prisoners.
He grabbed Evelyn's wrist and yanked her around the corner, unwilling to risk her further. He knew his conscience would never forgive him if he left these people here to suffer or die, but he couldn't live with himself if anything bad happened to Evelyn, either.
He knew he couldn't.

@CasiCasino group

(Soft boi cares a lot more than I thought QwQ)

Evelyn wasn’t sure whether her heartbeat was caused by the sound of gunfire or whether it was caused by the fact that Zeke literally embraced her in his arms. She was afraid at first but it seemed like they were fine. Both of them were. Luckily, that is.
The only problem now being Wisteria and Ironhead. They were most likely going to fight and if handled unprofessionally, Ironhead would lose.
”Hey… Zeke…” she whispered.
”Do you trust me…?” she asked, looking at Ironhead from the distance she was at. She had a plan, yet, for it to work, Jack o’ Lantern’s corpse will be used.

@Moriarty

(He cares more than he thought too ^w^ Thoughhh I'm sure he'll be in-denial later)

Zeke hesitated momentarily. Trust wasn't something he gave out easily. He'd only known Evelyn for a day or two. But– but– he kind of trusted her, and he was willing to trust her now. "I– well– Yeah," he said finally, offering a slight nod. "I do." He hoped he wouldn't regret those words, but… he was fairly certain he wouldn't.
If he couldn't trust Evelyn, he couldn't trust anyone.
"Why? What are you thinking?"

@CasiCasino group

”I’ll distract Wis, you go to Jack o’ Lantern corpse and get the bombs. If I remember correctly, they explode upon contact with skin so…” she created a pair of gloves using the black color she’d absorbed.
”Throw it at Wisteria when I throw her towards you, that should do it. If not, Ironhead should be able to finish her off…” Pastel explained. She gave Zeke a small nod.
”Sounds good?” a shot was fired up into the air.
”Where are you at dear?!”
