He shifted a little, still sleeping.
He shifted a little, still sleeping.
She had to pause her humming as she stifled a yawn, completely relaxed but getting a little tired.
He kept sleeping.
Her head rolled to the side before she woke back up. After checking that she hadn't disturbed him, she shook her head a little as she tried to not fall asleep again.
He kept sleeping, curled up against her.
She sighed softly in relief and started humming again.
He shifted a little, still asleep.
She smiled at him and continued to hum.
He was still sleeping.
She kissed his cheek, still playing with his hair. ”I love you.” she whispered in his ear.
He sighed softly, shifting a little bit.
”I wish… I wish you would open up to me more.” she admitted softly. ”I know you have your secrets and you're entitled to keep them… I just… want to understand more.”
He kept sleeping, rolling onto his back.
She sighed a little, glad she had gotten that off her chest but fairly certain that her request would never be answered.
To be honest, Killian probably acted the way he did because it had been so long before he had been able to trust anyone.
Jade was sure part of the reason for his secrets had to do with his father and how Killian had to grow up. There was no doubt it was very personal and most likely painful, which was why she tried not to push… but she couldn't help being curious.
Killian kept sleeping, snuggled up to her with his eyes shut tight.
Jade smiled softly at the gesture and continued to play with his hair.
He relaxed a little bit, letting out a quiet breath.
Her smile grew a little and she started humming softly to help him relax further.
He kept sleeping, curled up with her.
She continued to hum and play with his hair, letting him rest as much as he needed.
He shifted again, starting to wake up.
She smiled at him and lightly brushed against his shoulder.
He blinked open his eyes.
”Hey.” she almost whispered, smiling at him.
He returned the smile. "Hi."
”Did you have a nice rest?” she asked, checking if he was still warm.
He nodded a little, forehead still warm with fever and eyes bright with it.
She smiled softly still concerned about him. ”Feel any better?” she asked, even though she knew he was still pretty sick.
