Killian could hear her humming, and he smiled softly, recognizing the song.
Killian could hear her humming, and he smiled softly, recognizing the song.
Jade continued humming. She couldn't find everything to make the soup from scratch but she did find one of those ”boil water, add contents, stir for five minutes and serve” boxes of soup.
Killian kept half sleeping, curled up on the couch.
Jade continued to hum as she pulled down a bowl as the soup was almost finished.
Killian listened quietly.
Jade smiled a little at him as he brought the soup out. She was a little curious about how he acted when he was sick like this. Personally, she preferred to be mostly left alone when she was under the weather while Sophie was more needy.
Killian looked up as she came back, sighing softly.
”Here. You should eat it while it's still hot.” she told him as she set the bowl down but still within his reach.
He nodded a little bit. "Alright." he said quietly, sitting up and taking the bowl.
She sat in the chair nearby though she felt a little awkward about what to do now. All she really knew was that she wanted to stay and help him.
Killian looked over at her. "How's your day?" He asked, sounding tired.
She let out a soft chuckle. ”Mostly uneventful.” she told him with a smile. ”The police had everything pretty much under control. Though they’re still tracking a couple of the escapees.”
He nodded tiredly, eating some more of the soup. "'kay."
”How was your day?” she asked, despite being fairly certain that he slept through most of it.
"Sleepy." He grumbled.
She chuckled at his answer. ”I figured. I was just trying to keep the conversation going.”
He nodded a little bit, eating some more.
She sighed softly and leaned back in the chair, trying to relax a little. ”I’m sorry you're not feeling well.”
He grumbled a little bit. "Mm."
She bit back a small chuckle. So… Lethargic and a little grumpy when sick, huh? That's almost cute.
Killian leaned on the armrest, closing his eyes again.
Jade smiled softly and took the bowl from him, so he wouldn't drop it and could rest better.
He let out a quiet "thank you", letting out a tired sigh.
”You’re welcome, darling.” she smiled at him, gently kissing his forehead before taking the dish back to the kitchen.
He gave her a little smile.
Oh, yeah. I am so taking advantage of this… she smirked a little to herself as she thought about how tall he was. Normally, she wouldn't be able to reach the top of his head… much less be able to kiss it.
He looked up at her through eyes only half open, burrowing deeper into the blanket.
She giggled a little and smiled at him as she walked back into the living room and sat down.
He smiled back at her for a moment, then closed his eyes.
She let out a soft sigh, not wanting to leave him yet but not too sure on what to do while he was resting.
