@Fraust

Lucas woke with a start, gripping Melissa a bit tighter. "S-Sorry! Did you say something?" He asked, bringing up one hand to rub at his eyes sleepily.

"No, but I was going to." Voice small and caring, she noticed his grip around her tightened. "You hungry for some breakfast? We can have anything your heart desires… or whatever is in the fridge." She giggled, booping his nose.

@Fraust

He nodded, blushing when Melissa touched his nose. "Uh… anything is fine. I'm not picky." He reluctantly pulled away from her and slipped out of the bed. He stretched, his back cracking loudly in the process, and winced from the fresh bruises on his body.

When he winced, she cringed at the sound of his back popping. 'I hate that so much.' She groaned inwardly, getting off the bed. "I think we have pancake mix in the pantry. I'll have to double check." Humming softly, she came up and hugged around his waist gently.

@Fraust

Lucas tentatively returned the hug. "Alright, sounds good to me. It's probably best if you make them, since I'm likely to burn them." He laughed weakly. "I'm not very experienced with food in general; eating it or making it."

"And that's going to change, starting today." She purred, before pulling back and dragging him along behind her. Skipping down to the kitchen, she glanced over her shoulder as they turned into the kitchen. "You're going to help me out."

@Fraust

Lucas sighed, letting her drag him along. "But Mel~…" He whined playfully. "I don't wanna burn your fooood…"

@Fraust

"Alright, alright… what do you want me to grab?" He asked. He really didn't want to let go of Melissa's hands; their hands just felt so right when they were together.

@Fraust

Lucas opened the fridge to check. "Yes, you have milk. I presume we need it?" He asked, pulling out the carton. His hands felt so empty without Melissa holding them.

Melissa had zeroed in on to the task, barely hearing his voice. "…Yeah, set it over there somewhere." She mumbled reading the back of the box she had pulled from the pantry. Her hand gestured over her shoulder, to the other side of the kitchen.

@Fraust

"Alright." Lucas set the milk on the counter and came closer to Melissa. "What else would you like me to get for you?"

@Fraust

"Mhmm." Lucas went and rifled through the cabinets until he found a bowl. "I'll just put it by the milk, okay?" He headed over and set the bowl down.

@Fraust

"Uh, yeah. I like chocolate." Lucas eyed the chocolate chips curiously. "I guess you're gonna put some of those in?" He asked.

@Fraust

"Sure." He went back over to the fridge and soon returned with about four sticks of butter. "Uh… I don't know how many we need…"

@Fraust

"Oh… okay." Lucas put the butter on the counter, blushing in embarrassment. "Don't laugh at me! I told you I don't know what I'm doing!"

@Fraust

Lucas huffed indignantly and crossed his arms. "Is that all we need?" He asked. "Or do you need me to grab something else?"

@Fraust

"I'm fine, Mel." Lucas smiled softly. "I'm just playing, and I know you are too." He ruffled her hair and went to stand by the ingredients.

Smiling back, she stood besides him opening the box of pancake mix. "Basically, I need you to read the instructions off the back for now." She hummed to him, after pouring the contents into a small scoop. "I know the amount, I just need you to tell me the order."

@Fraust

"Alright." (Me, not knowing the order–) Whenever Melissa finished with an ingredient, Lucas read her the next one and moved either the trash or the rest of the ingredient back to where it belonged.

(XDD It's all good!)

Mixing them together, she looked up to him with a smile. "Can you get a pan, from there?" She asked him, walking over to the stove. Butter on a plate, she carried both that, and the mix to the other side of the kitchen.

@Fraust

"Yeah, sure." Lucas found a pan that seemed big enough and brought it over to Melissa. "Is this one okay?" He asked.
