She left the building going outside to the car

Lysander sighed and turned to Tyler for advice on what to do.

She looked at the two "you guys know her mother died she wasn't able to make it Betty couldn't keep her here" she said "she had to make a choice and she choose my brothers and your parents over her mother" she said

”What? When did that happen?” Henry asked.

Lysander shook his head. ”I saw her mother at the New Year's party at our house. She didn’t tell me anything was wrong.”

She sighed " no she's gone along with all Betty's hope for happiness" tyler said

”Doesn’t have to be.” Lysander said before running out towards the car.

Tyler looked at henry

Henry shrugged at the look. ”He’s probably going to talk to her again.” he told her.

Was just about to open the driver seat on the SUV

”Betty, wait.” Lysander called to her as he got closer.

She turned looking at him

He slowed to a walk and looked at her worriedly. ”Why didn't you tell me about your mom?” he asked softly.

" I didn't want to" she said

”Why not?” he asked. ”I would have understood. You should be able to tell me anything.” he told her gently.

" and why is that ly?" She asked

He sighed a little. ”Because we're married and like we said earlier, we're supposed to be a team. If something is wrong or bothering you, you can always tell me.” he assured her.

She shook her head

”Why not? What do you mean by that?”

She stepped forward taking his hands in her own

He gently held her hands, hoping that this would be a good thing, half expecting her to show him something.

"will…will you just hold me for a minute" she said

“Of course, my angel.” he said softly, wrapping his arms around her and holding her close.

She let out a shaky breath as she wrapped her arms loosely around his neck

Lysander still had a couple of questions but he could wait for her to feel better first.

She sighed and pulled away to look at him

He looked back at her, still holding her. ”When did your mom…” he trailed off, unsure how to finish the question.

"after new years" she said

”I’m so sorry, love.” he told her gently, placing a soft kiss to her forehead.

She shrugged "doesn't matter anymore" she said

”Of course it matters.” he said, gently shaking his head. ”You had to grow up without her and now you had to lose her all over again.” he sighed and hugged her again.
