Cordelia pointed her wand at Spinel, once again. Tiredly, she yelled the only spell she could think about. A temporary freezing charm. She watched as Spinel froze in place and looked at Okami. "I suggest getting out of her grip. We don't really want another death on our hands, do we?" She paused and looked at her wrist, which had a yellow and black watch. "You have approximately 35 seconds before she returns to normal."

Okami jumped off of Spinel, choosing to hover a few feet above the ground next to Ink instead of landing.

The Gem was stuck in this awkward position as if she was fighting an invisible foe, and due to her frozen state, it would be impossible to remove the scythe from her already tight grip, so all there was to do was wait for half a minute in a tense silence…

"Wow," Okami said under her breath, "can't even take her weapon."

The frozen being made this creepy breathing sound which would take a moment to click that she was laughing at them! She was the one is this practically fatal disadvantage and she was laughing at them!

"She's lost her marbles," Cordelia muttered as she heard Spinel's laughter. "She is completely insane, this one." She looked down at her watch and counted the remaining seconds. "33…34….35…"

And then, Spinel was no longer frozen. Cordelia didn't know how the Gem would react once she was up and moving again. Or if she was going to be her next target. Probably so.

Steven looked in horror once Spinel was unfrozen. “Oh no…no, no, no…” he muttered. Charlie pulled Steven back, staying quiet. Ink stepped to the side, holding his paintbrush in front of him. “Stay back!” the skeleton hissed.

It wasn't very fun watching her slowly get up, even though she was looking as joyful as ever. "You really shoulda shattered me when you had tha chance…" She chuckled, "Oh well, your loss~!" The Gem said before leaping into the air and basically becoming a spinning ball of rejuvenating death as she tried to hit as many people as possible!

As the ball of death rolled by, the rejuvenator hit her arm and she looked at her arm expecting a gnarly scar. "Drat," she muttered, "nothing!"

Instead of a scar, it felt like her whole body had fallen asleep and did that terrible pins and needles feeling. You know the one. It was like that but cranked up to eleven. Basically on-par with being electrocuted!

The trio stumbled and fell as they tried to avoid Spinel’s attacks. Steven fell onto the ground first, not noticing any cover. He silently cursed as Ink held up his paintbrush. He would’ve made a wall but he made too many items in the last couple hours so he needed a moment. Charlie barely missed some of Spinel’s attacks before finally getting hit. “Ow! That hurt like hell,” she hissed, rubbing her arm.

(I'm confused. Did Spinel hit herself, or is this some sort of expanding of my reply?)

(Ok. Just making sure, since I was confused.)

"This ain't any weapon I've ever seen," she chuckled, "no scar but incendiary pain."

(Full-on masochist over here.)

“I’d tell you more about it, but that’d kinda defeat the purpose of being a mysterious threat, wouldn’t it, hmm?” She said as she landed, giggling to herself as if she wasn’t trying to kill them, and that they’d been lifelong friends.

"I've finally met someone who gets it," Okami said to herself, loud enough that the people beside her could hear her, "and they're trying to kill me!"

"Oh, don't be narcissistic, I'm not trying to kill just you!" She said, pretending to be offended. "What I'm interested in is him." The Gem pointed to Steven, gripping her scythe.

"True," she said, "I suppose I did put myself into this fight." She chuckled a little.
