Joel looks back at Varuni.
"Go ahead." he says sheepishly.
"Okay." he nods, looking up at Sky's smile. Something didn't seem right about it, so he shifts to his animal form, sizes it down a bit, and climbs up onto her shoulder.
Sky glanced over to where Joel now rested on her shoulder. “Ah- hello, Bǎobèi.” She was surprised at how quickly she’d grown attached to the child.

"So, Edgeworth. Fancy seeing you here….in the middle of nowhere…where we might possibly be stuck here for the rest of our lives…" Maya trails off, and in a more cheerful voice says, "So, how's life? Got any interesting cases you've been working on? Still denying that you're a Steel Samurai fan?"

Joel purrs quietly, booping Sky's face with his nose.
When breakfast had been mentioned, it hadn't exactly registered in Joel's mind - but now it definitely registered. He chirps happily, a sound with elements from a rabbit and a fox.

He hadn't really thought of it that way. For all he knew, they were still on Earth. Honestly, he wouldn't really miss anything about it if that was the case, the two people he would even remotely miss were with him. Well, aside from That Man (this is before AAI btw)
His face scrunched as Maya mentioned the show he shamefully enjoyed. "I do not partake in such childish things!" He snapped defensively, "Ahem ….I have no new cases as of yet, but I did just finish one before I was…transported here. It was nothing special, just another murder case."
