"I still don't like this." She mumbled, half ignoring Violet. She kept her voice under her breath, her face close to Clem's. "Like really don't like this." She muttered once more, watching over her friend's shoulder.

"I know you don't like this," Clem said, standing up. She slipped her phone into her jacket pocket and zipped it up. "I have to do this. Whether you like it or not. And you've made the latter clear. But I have no choice. You can come or you can not. Just remember this is for Lucy." She began to leave.

Her face tightened, and she tried not to feel guilty. But of course she did. "That's low Clem, guilt tripping me. So incredibly low." She muttered, getting up herself, nodding her head at Violet to have her come along. "I already told you, I'm coming."

"Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do," Clem sighed. It was true though: this was something that Clem had to do. She truly did. And she was going to do it with Ember's support or not. Though she knew Ember would do it for Lucy's sake.

"Did you bring you're actual car today?" Ember asked, stumbling a bit as she came up to Clem. With the one drink, she was already feeling dizzy. "I really hope you did, otherwise I'm not going to be able to join you tonight."

Deleted user

"Yeah, it's around the corner." She pulled out her keys, which had a small mallet keyring on it. When they got to her car, Clem remembered that there was three of them. "There's only a little space in the back. And you'll have to share it with my mallet."

"What about the passenger seat?" Ember asked, glancing over her shoulder at Violet. "Did you get it taken out?" She asked, rather annoyed if she had. She ran a hand through her loose hair, flipping it so it had a more loose party look to it.

Deleted user

"No, there's the driver's seat and the passenger seat. There's a little bit of room behind them but I normally keep my mallet there. So you either get with my mallet or get in the boot. Or you could hold on to the roof."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Oh gosh, no way am I getting on the roof. I call shot-gun." She said rather quickly, walking up to the car, and holding onto the handle. "I don't care right now, I just know I don't need to be crammed in one space for any period of time."

Ember looked back at her friend, crossing her arms over her chest. "I've already been guilt tripped tonight, I'm not doing that again Vi." Her voice was authoritative, and she wasn't taking anything she didn't have to deal with tonight. "Besides, you could always drive your own car. You haven't drank anything yet."

"Ask Ms. Hero over here." She muttered, opening the passenger door and leaning into the seat. "I have no clue where we're actually going. I just know I won't like it." Sighing, she pressed her hands to her face.

"Just follow me," Clem replied, hopping into her own car. It was somewhere Ember had been before, though Violet hadn't been around when they went. And it was somewhere that she went more often than Ember would like.

"Exactly where are we going? I normally like surprises, but this is one I want a straight answer with. No sexuality jokes either." She said softly, looking over to her friend. A slight smile formed on her lips, despite being annoyed about their situation.

"You know where we're going. I go there all the time because it's basically the only place Jason hangs out. And I like it because it's dark…and the giant penny."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"I hate you so much. You couldn't have picked anywhere else?" She asked, her smile dropping leaving a grimace behind. "I'd rather go anywhere but the Batcave for an evening. And Batman drives me batty."

Deleted user

"I know he drives you batty but Jason and I have been dating for years. As far as I'm aware you should be used to it. And Bruce is the one helping mum reform."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"We're suppose to be villains Clem, why are you mingling with the heroes?" Ember asked, more to herself than anything. "I shouldn't be going with you, with the amount of things I've done. They could be luring me into a trap so I can be taken to prison…"

Deleted user

"I've done bad things as well. I've killed people. Maybe not as many or as bad as you, but I have. And as long as I'm there, they won't do anything. I swear on my life."

Ember sighed, and looked over to her friend with a tight frown. "I'm entrusting a lot in you, don't screw this up." She muttered, turning to face to window. She was attempting to think clearly, but the buzz of the drink was still stuck with her.

Deleted user

"Ditto," Clem mumbled, beginning to drive. She knew exactly where she was going, and she hoped Violet wouldn't lose her.

Clem zoomed through the city. It was fast but quiet, and she could understand if the lull of the engine had helped Ember sleep. If she wasn't driving, she could have fallen asleep herself."

Deleted user

Clem smiled, though it was too dark to see. "I know you're not. We've been through too much for this to suddenly break us apart. I wish there was another option but there's not."

Deleted user

"Come on, that's just a bonus," Clem returned. It was quite true though: Jason was a highlight of going to the batcave. "We're here, anyway." She drove into the side of a cliff, a wall that turned out to be an illusion.
