Vaughn had chuckled a tad at Kaz. “I like you better then your other personality, the other is not you. And if you keep pouting like that, I’m going to get handsy,” he had murmured with a light smirk.
Vaughn would have normally rolled his eyes or glared at Dylan from the comment he gave. He tilted his head to rest it back on Kaz’s shoulder, taking a shuddering breath. Maybe they did need Cas, as much as he didn’t want to admit it.
“You better not, not in front of people,” Kaz warned jokingly, smiling a little. “I’ll give you static shock for a week if you don’t stop embarrassing me.”
Dylan helped Avery lie down, and applied a makeshift dressing on her side. Not his best work, but he wasn't a medic. He didn't have the resources for anything better.
(Any way to bring @Meow into this?)
“You better not, not in front of people,” Kaz warned jokingly, smiling a little. “I’ll give you static shock for a week if you don’t stop embarrassing me.”
“Like hell you will,” Vaughn said with a soft laugh, his arm slipping around Kaz’s waist. “And am I embarrassing you?”
(How will I introduce Artemis?)
(uhh, maybe she could show up on their way back or something?)
Kaz rolled his eyes. "You would have to try damn hard to embarrass me," he chuckled before moving to hold Vaughn's hand again. An idea formed in his mind, and he had to keep from letting his smile turn into a smirk
(I believe they're getting back from blinding a guy on the beach?)

Kaz rolled his eyes. "You would have to try damn hard to embarrass me," he chuckled before moving to hold Vaughn's hand again. An idea formed in his mind, and he had to keep from letting his smile turn into a smirk
Vaughn looked up at Kaz, his head not leaving his shoulder. “Yeah, yeah, whatever,” he said with a slight smile. He took a few more slow breaths, his wound aching when he did so.
(I believe they're getting back from blinding a guy on the beach?)
(That's kinda horrible no offense.)
Kaz smirked, and before Vaughn realized it he static shocked them both. He moved his hand back instinctively, but quickly began giggling so much his body shook
Artemis saw a group of humans messing around near the beach. She pulled up her hoodie to hide her metallic face.
Vaughn flinched at the sudden shock that jolted through him. He cursed at first from the sharp pain that he felt from his wound, but he began laughing soon enough. He had been stressed the past week from everything that had been going on, and it felt so good to just laugh.
Kaz just started laughing harder at the sound of Vaughn laughing. "I-ehe-I got you good," he giggled, half curling into a ball as he cackled. "Told you I tried the joy buzzer thing before."
“You are such an ass,” Vaughn said inbetween laughs, grinning as he did so. “You are so lucky that I love you. I would have hurt anyone else who tried something like that.”
Kaz put a hand to his chest theatrically. "Oh, I've been wounded!" he cried, feigning being hurt. "You wouldn't hurt little old me, I'm too cute to hurt," he teased, a grin plastered across his face
“I know, I could never,” Vaughn admitted, shaking his head as he smiled warmly at Kaz. Maybe if Kaz came with them, things would get better. He would definitely feek much more comfortable with someone he knew better.
"Alright, you two. Break it up," Dylan teased, rolling his eyes, "Vaughn's gonna faint from being too happy, and Aspect's got a bad wound still. We need some decent shelter."
Dylan looked about, and happened to notice somebody watching them. The fact that they hadn't tried to kill him yet practically removed them as a threat, but Dylan decided to be careful. He nudged Avery, "We have a watcher."
(I believe they're getting back from blinding a guy on the beach?)
(That's kinda horrible no offense.)
(Well, when the guy is a sniper who nearly killed the girl who's saved you at least three times……. You don't really think about how horrible it is. Also the burning rage helps.)
Kaz pouted. "Alright, alright. If you guys have the cash we could probably crash at a hotel or something until I can call my friend for medical assistance."
Vaughn grunted as he slowly got to his feet after snatching up his gun from off the ground. His expression was back to its usual emotionless, stone cold one in an instant. His eyes narrowed at Dylan, and he followed his gaze to a figure. “What the hell..?”
Kaz squinted at the figure and did a small double take at how strong their electrical signature was. "That's not a person…" he warned, getting to his feet and standing protectively next to Vaughn
(Sorry, guys, I was at work. I'll be back for a few minutes tomorrow morning, and then for a bit tomorrow afternoon/evening. Central Time.)
Avery sat up slightly, leaning on one arm to face the direction Dylan was looking.
"Wonderful. Just what we needed, something else to distract us from what we're really here for," she managed to choke out. She blinked, trying to get some of the black spots in her vision to go away, but most of them stayed.
Great, I'm gonna black out, too, she thought, annoyed with herself and the gash in her side.
Avery was really pale. That much alone scared Dylan. The fact that they were under threat only made matters worse.
If there was another fight coming, then Avery and Vaughn were toast. They'd need some space to fight comfortably, and they didn't have it here.
So let's get curious.
"Kaz, come with me." he said as he started towards the stranger at a slow pace, "I might need some backup."
Kaz nodded. He was hesitant to leave Vaughn, but he knew he should probably make sure no one else got hurt. "I'll be right back," he told Vaughn, pressing a quick kiss to his forehead before getting up and beginning to walk towards the figure in the distance
Artemis saw a person heading toward her. Internal panic mode: on. she thought.
(Lol.)
"Heya! How are you today?" Dylan shouted as he approached, trying to seem friendly, "You looking for something?"
