Jade found herself smiling again for the first time since she left his house. She walked away from the bag and picked up her phone to send this message herself. That sounds wonderful. What time should I come over?

hmm. About five? That gives me time to make food. do you have a preference for what you would like to eat?
It was a little funny, thinking of Hex making dinner for her.

Surprise me. Five is perfect. Gives me time to clean up. 😉 She sent blushing a little, thinking of what she should wear. It was a little ironic how the same man she fought for so long could now make her heart race for an entirely different reason.

Killian got up, heading to the kitchen and flipping through his cookbooks to pick something out, humming softly.

See you then she smiled as she sent that message before changing into a simple outfit to wear back to her apartment. She would get ready for dinner there.

He smiled, and settled on a food to make. He turned on music and starting getting out the supplies, humming along to the music.

Jade locked up the Den and drove home. Not even the thought of Sophie's teasing could ruin her good mood. She didn't speed but she arrived sooner than she expected and practically skipped up the stairs.

Killian kept working on dinner, smiling softly as he hummed and worked.

Jade was still smiling as she walked into the apartment and headed to take a quick shower. Sophie must have been out at the moment since the place was currently empty. But Jade didn't mind too much as she hummed High Hopes by Panic at the Disco.

Killian was humming along to the music, busily working on dinner.

Jade surprised herself by how many outfits she looked at before finally deciding on one. She even put on a little make-up before she finally left, eager to see Killian again.

Killian set the table while he waited for dinner to be done, smiling softly.

Jade was starting to suspect that Sparky was also working to bring her and Killian together as a shorter route to his house popped up on her GPS. She rolled her eyes with a small smirk as she followed the new directions, arriving in almost half the time.

Killian was smiling softly as he finished making dinner, putting it into serving containers.

Jade took off her helmet and fluffed her hair to make it lay more normally. She quickly armed her bike and walked up to the door, smiling happily as she knocked.

Killian opened the door with a smile. "Hey!" he greeted, stepping back so she could come in.

Jade had to restrain herself from jumping to hug him as she walked inside, smiling back at him. ”Hi.”

Killian wrapped an arm around her, pressing a kiss to her lips. "I finished making dinner."

Jade giggled a little as she returned the kiss. ”It smells really good.” she commented. ”What did you make?”

"Hm. Spaghetti." he replied with a soft laugh. "And meatballs. And also salad." he held her close, smiling.

”Sounds perfect.” she smiled, wrapping an arm over his shoulders and nuzzling into his familiar embrace.

He smiled back, and held her closer, kissing her cheek softly. "Mhm."

Jade sighed and hugged him. ”I missed you.” she admitted softly.

He smiled a little. "Me too." He replied, hugging her close.

She smiled back, her heart fluttering a little at his answer and kissed his cheek.

"Now, shall we have dinner?" He asked, raising his eyebrows.

She nodded and slowly released her grip. ”Yes, please.”

He nodded, and led her over to the table, smiling. "Alright."

”Thank you.” she smiled, following him to the table. It was so nice to be back with him… Especially after her last ”job”.

"Of course." Killian replied with another little smile. He pulled out a chair for her before sitting down in his own.
