Jade was so wrapped up in the moment, she almost didn't notice when her phone started beeping rapidly. She sighed and reluctantly let go of Killian, giving him an apologetic look as she had to answer the alarm.

Killian gave a quick smile, letting her go and stepping back to give her some privacy.

Jade smiled at him as she pulled up the message. It was a radio call that her tech transferred to a text. She sighed a little as she read it. ”I’m sorry, Killian. I gotta go.” she said as another message came through. ”Apparently there's a report of one of those escaped prisoners a few blocks away.”

Killian nodded. "Alright. Good luck, then." He replied with a small smile.

Jade’s eyes widened as the convict's description came up with the next message. She knew who it was. How could she not? She glanced back up at Killian and decided not to tell him. He’d most likely panic if he found out he was so close. ”Y-yeah. Thanks. Uhh… I just need to put on my suit real quick.” she said, almost nervously as she turned to the door.

He frowned a little bit. "Jade? Are you alright?" He asked slowly, studying her carefully.

”Yeah. I-I’m fine.” she answered, not looking at him. ”I’ll… I'll be right back. My suit is in a hidden compartment on my bike.”

She nodded and darted out to her bike before coming back inside with her suit. ”You’d think I’d be smart enough to come up with a better way to get ready for this stuff.” she joked a little, heading into the bathroom.
