He smiled a little and let himself fall backward onto the bed, gently pulling Betty on top of him.

She straddled him leaning down to kiss him

He chuckled a little and kissed her happily, running his hands up her sides.

She ran a hand through his hair tugging gently

He moaned a little and gently tangled his fingers in her hair.

He smiled into the kiss and pulled her a little closer.

She snuck a hand under his shirt to rub his side

He couldn't help but flinch slightly as she accidentally brushed a bruise from when Alec had thrown him.

She pulled away very quickly and scooted away

He looked at her in sympathy as he sat up.”Hey, it's alright, love. It's nothing.” he assured her.

" I'm sorry" she said

”It’s alright, angel.” he told her, reaching his arm towards her. ”You didn't hurt me.” he reminded her.

She quickly got off the bed and grabbed a blanket

”Oh no, you don't.” he said, standing in front of her. ”Betty, you just got home. I’m not going to let you sleep on the couch on your first night back.” he told her gently.

He rolled his eyes at her stubborn attitude. ”Betty, I’m fine. It'll be gone by morning.” he told her sincerely. ”Besides I’d do it all over again if it meant you would finally be safe. Please, stay.”

”Thank you.” He smiled gratefully at her and kissed her forehead.

She Gently walked to the bed laying close to the edge

He walked over with her and laid down more towards the middle of the bed before gently pulling Betty a little closer and away from the edge.

She gently nudged his grip off her

He sighed, a little disappointed. ”Please don't do this. I chose to fight for you and I always will.” he told her. ”I’m not made of glass, my love. I've been thrown around like that before you were born. I'll be alright in the morning. You won't even be able to tell I was sore.” he promised.

" I don't believe you you should've let him take me" she said

”I would never let him take you.” he told her. ”And you can trust me on this. Betty, I have been stabbed before and it healed overnight. This won't even leave a scar.” he said referring to the bruise.

" then in the morning I'll stop worrying" she said

”Fine.” he relented. ”But can I at least hold you tonight?” he asked gently.
