Danny grinned, stretching. “Yeah, man, thanks! Sorry if I talk ‘bout him too much and it bugs ya or somethin’.”
Danny grinned, stretching. “Yeah, man, thanks! Sorry if I talk ‘bout him too much and it bugs ya or somethin’.”
Alex chuckled. "No, it's fine. Really. You should see me when I'm actually in…y'know, a relationship that isn't abusive."
“Hah.” Danny laughed slightly, unsure if that was even the reaction that Alex was trying to garner. “Yeah..”
Alex nodded, running his fingers through his hair with a faint little smile. "You know you don't need to get all awkward every time I mention Keats." he said, looking at Danny.
“Sorry, sorry. Dude’s just gross.” Danny chuckled, tugging at a small scar on his earlobe.
Alex shrugged slightly. "He's a Succubus. And I know. Just…let me make jokes about it without killing the mood? It's easier for me, that way."
Danny nodded, pressing his thumb against his teeth. “Sure, man. Sorry ‘bout bein’ weird.”
"It's fine." He replied with a faint smile. "I just…it helps if I can laugh it off? I don't know if that makes sense."
“Nah, nah, man I get it. You make sense, don't worry ‘bout it.” Danny shrugged.
He nodded. "Alright. Thanks." his voice was a little quiet, but he shot Danny another smile.
Danny gave him a thumbs up. “No problem, man.”
He smiled again, and got up, starting the kettle. "I'm gonna have some tea. You want any?"
“I’m good, man, but thanks! Hot shit is no bueno for me r’now. Weather’s too bitchy.” Danny laughed, standing up as well.
Alex nodded, chuckling softly. "Alright. I've got, like, soda and stuff in the fridge, if you'd prefer? Or just water, I guess."
“Just water, thanks.” Danny stood, grabbing his cup and going to refill it.
Alex smiled again, and nodded. "Alright."
Danny knocked back his water again, setting the cup back down and stretching.
Alex waited for the water to boil, getting his tea ready. "I think I've already said this, but…thank you for coming." He said softly.
“No, man, it’s fine! Don’t even mention it.” Danny shook his head, holding up a hand. “I don’t mind, dude.”
Alex nodded a little bit. "Alright." he shot Danny a quick smile, grateful that the werewolf was here.
“You know that you can call me whenever, right?” Danny tilted his head back, looking up at the ceiling.
Alex nodded again. "Yeah. You said that earlier." he replied with a quick little smile. He ran his fingers through his hair.
“Cool, cool.. just checkin’.” Danny stretched, glancing at the door and then back up at the ceiling. “I’m serious ‘bout that, though.”
The tea kettle whistled, and Alex turned off the stove, pouring the hot water into the mug to brew.
Danny checked the time on his phone as he refilled his water. “Just letting you know, I’ll probably be outta your hair in an hour or so, man.”
He nodded slightly, taking a hesitant sip of his tea. "Alright."
Danny drummed his nails on the back of his phone, not really sure what else he should say, but the silence was making him a little uncomfortable.
Alex stretched, setting his tea aside. "So how long have you and Frasier been together?" he asked curiously.
“Oof, uh- hm.” Danny tapped his chin in thought. “Like.. almost three years by now, I think. Give or take a few months, but that sounds right.”
He nodded a little bit. "That's great, Danny." he smiled. He wasn't sure why he had chosen this topic, but he had, no going back now.
