Kade shrugged, looking back at his food, which sat on his lap, and which he had been eating until she woke up. "The hell if I know. He pays me, and I do the work, no questions asked." He frowned. "Actually, I think he wants to marry you. I dunno."
She clenched her jaw, staring at him for a moment. Marry me?? But he's in his 40's! "But…" she trailed off, biting her lip anxiously.
"Yeah, it's gross, I agree," Kade said. shrugging. "But it's not my place to question."
She clenched her jaw, tugging at the chains again. No. I won't do this. "So you're a sheep." She spat out. "You just do what you're told and you don't question it. Brainless."
"I prefer the term dog," Kade said mildly, not seeming to be mad, although the slightest jerk of his hand showed that the comment had gotten to him. "I'll even work with bitch."
"No, because dogs, at least, have a discernible personality." she snarled, glaring over at him. Wisps of brown floated into her face, and she blew at them to get them away.
"I take offense to that," Kade said mildly, looking at her with a smile on his face. "I have personality. Just not much of one." He shrugged, standing. "Hungry?"
She turned her gaze to the ceiling, clenching her jaw. "I'm very much inclined to believe you don't have a personality. I haven't seen much evidence of one."
"Well, you haven't gotten to know me very well, have you?"
"Well. You kidnapped me. So I don't think I want to get to know you better. You probably murder or rape people in their sleep."
"Please. That's a low blow." Kade rolled his eyes and set his bowl down on a table in the center of the room. "I don't rape people, I'd like to tell you. But I can't get you to believe me, so I won't even try."
"Oh, you murder people but you don't rape them, so that makes it all better." she rolled her eyes at the ceiling, shaking her head a little bit.
"It does," Kade said. "Rape is too much for me." He shrugged. "Honestly, though, it's not like I'm a complete monster."
"No, you just work for one." Her words were sharp, biting and angry and cold. She was looking up at the ceiling still, not facing him.
"That's true." Kade shrugged, going back to his bed and throwing himself onto it. "But he's offering me a lot of money. So I work for him."
"Wow, gods forbid that you might have a conscience or anything." she said, still in that same sarcastic tone.
(Sorry! I got grounded… I haven't been on this week.)
"What? Me, having a conscience?" Kade mock gasped, putting his hand to his chest with a gasp. "How dare you!"
(ooh that sucks, man)
She scoffed, rolling her eyes. "A shocking idea, I know." She sniped, lips caught into a thin line, her Cupid's bow flattened in anger and antipathy.
(It does… now I have about fifty roleplays to respond to…)
"It really, really is," he agreed, standing and stretching. "You hungry, Princess? Because we need to leave tomorrow, and I need a nap. I sleep hard, so I won't wake up and get you any food."
(yuck. Good luck!)
"Depends. Is your food gonna be drugged?" her eyes narrowed as she glared over at him, tufts of brown hair drifting into her face. "And don't call me princess."
(Well thanks XD )
"No," he said calmly. "I wouldn't do that. Unless you talk too much. Then I might drug it." He shrugged. "And I'm just telling the truth. You are a princess, after all. The princess, in fact."
(np lol)
She watched him for a long moment, eyes narrowed and lips flattened. "I don't care if I'm a princess or not. Don't call me princess." I left that behind a long time ago.
"Of course, Highness." He smirked. "So, do you want food or not."
She grimaced. "Maybe. You gonna let me sit so I can fucking feed myself, or were you planning on spoon feeding me like some sort of invalid or infant? Also, I need to piss, and there's no fucking way you're watching me do that."
"Says who?" He asked mildly, but untied her feet from the bed. He left her hands tied, though, just to be safe.
"Me." She replied, glaring at him. She crossed her legs beneath her, but wasn't really able to sit up, since her hands were still tied.
"Well, you're in no position to say such things, you know." He heaved her to her feet.
"Am too. Because if you insist on watching then I'll just wait till I'm on the bed again, and then you'll have to smell it all night." She replied with the faintest little smirk. He fact that she was a princess, and being so crass, would have been absolutely hilarious to some people, and scandalous to others.
"I guess I will. But you'll have to sit in it all night." He pointed out.
