¨Evan I´m Serous Maybe you should drop it¨ she said.

Evan raised a brow at her insistence… but nodded with a soft sigh. ”Alright. I will but only because I don't want our truce to have a rough start.”

Lysander let out a breath but could not seem to calm down this time. He was too confused, too upset.

Henry groaned and picked up his adopted brother. ”We’ll be right back.” he promised Betty before fulfilling his earlier threat.

Henry blinked in surprise and turned to face Betty. ”Are you serious? Why would there be poison in the lake?”

”Henry, just put me down.” Lysander groaned.

¨Because theres a water outbreak humans think it would be safer¨ she said glancing at Evan

Evan raised a brow at her explanation. ”Do you mean that humans may attempt to kill us again?” he asked.

¨It´s very possible ¨ she said ¨But one thing at a time we need to solve this feud¨ she said.

Evan nodded. ”You’re right. It's just odd that humans know about vervain. Normally, we don't mention it.” he explained before looking at Lysander.

As Henry reluctantly put him down, Lysander refused to look at Evan. ”It’s nothing.” he said, his tone still a bit heated. ”If this truce is going to work out… Then I'm just going to have to get used to it.”

It finally clicked in her head Lysander was jealous

Evan seemed to reach the same realization. ”That’s what's bothering you? That I kissed Betty?” he asked incredulously.

”How would you feel if you found your Eternal and saw her kissing someone else?” Lysander growled back.

Betty sighed she was going to say something but decided against it

Evan rolled his eyes. ”You’re being childish, fréro. Me and Betty have known each other since she was in high school and just now wasn't the first time I've kissed her.” he pointed out. ”Honestly, do you know how many relationships she's had? Does she know how many you’ve had?”

Lysander’s eyes flashed red. ”Shut up.” he almost snarled.

Betty looked at Evan in shock then at Tyler.

Henry stepped in front of Lysander. ”Ok. That one was crossing the line a little.” he said to Evan. ”Look, Evan, can I call you Evan? I don't know how you turned but since I spent all that time with him after you bit him, I’m pretty sure I know Ly better than you do. So I'm going to give you this one warning; Don't bring that up. With very few exceptions, we don't talk about ex’s since most of them have tried to kill us.”

Betty clenched her hands into tight fists her fingernails cutting the skin and drawing blood

Lysander looked at Henry in confusion as he picked up on what he’d just said. ”He bit me?”

”Oh, sh1+.” Henry muttered while Evan glared at him.

”You and Charles always told me that Charles turned me.” Lysander accused.

¨Ly …¨ Betty said.

Henry sighed and turned to Lysander. ”I’m sorry, Ly. He told us not to mention him, to say that the old man turned you.” he explained.

”How would he have been able to influence Charles?” Lysander demanded.

”I ran away when I was a kid.” Evan explained. ”It didn't take long for the previous King to find me. Then he took me to an Oracle who said I would inherit that position.” he sighed. ”I grew up preparing to be the next King. Once I finally turned I already knew a lot of my abilities, that's when I wiped your memories of me but I didn't expect you to end up nearly dead because of that harlot!”

Betty ran a hand through her hair " oh my- " she stopped herself

”What other choice did I have?” Evan pointed out. ”You’re my brother, I couldn't just let you die back then. But I couldn't bring you back with me.”

”So you turned me into a monster and dropped me off with Charles like an unwanted child.” Lysander spat. ”I left Charles and ran back home. A month later, I killed mom and dad because of what… you made me.”

Betty saw quick flashes of Alec in her mind hitting her kicking her forcing himself on her but she stayed calm she put a hand back on Evan accidentally showing him the flashes

”I wasn't going to let my only brother die!” Evan argued. ”You didn't have to run. If you had stayed with Charles then none of that would have happened.”

But Lysander wasn't listening. He already knew that in hindsight. ”You turned me.” he almost whispered. His mind stuck on that one fact.

She placed a hand on Evan accidentally showing him her flashes

Evan gasped at the images that appeared in his mind. He quickly turned to Betty, opening his mouth to say something but the words would not come out.

Betty realized what she did and looked down

Evan looked at her in sympathy. ”Was that the future or your past?” he asked softly, wanting to hug her comfortingly.

" my past" she muttered

Evan sighed and gave in to what he wanted, wrapping his arms around her. ”I’m sorry you went through that.” he whispered. ”But I promise, you’ll never have to worry about that man again.”

Betty sniffled a tear rolling down her cheek

Evan kissed her forehead. ”As an Alpha and a Queen, he won't be able to touch you again.” he assured her, even though Evan was making plans to make sure that that man disappeared for good.
