" I'm gonna go outside " she said and that's what she did she got up and left the house she went to the edge to the deck looking at the water she got out there around noon and now it was nighttime and she had not moved
Henry threw away the broken glass and followed her outside. ”Are you going to talk to me at all or do I need to get Ly?” he asked.
She didn't say a word to him
Henry groaned at being ignored. ”I don't want to have to give you a flying lesson just to hear you say something.”
" can I please just be alone?" She asked
”Why?” he asked. ”Why do you want to spend so much time alone now? You used to tell me everything.” he reminded her.
She sighed " please just leave me alone" she said
He crossed his arms stubbornly. ”No. I want to help you and you're stonewalling me.” he told her. ”Just tell me what’s bugging you… besides me. Is it Evan?”
Betty stood up her eyes glowed yellow and her crystal glowed " Drop it" she growled then she went inside shuting the door roughly her eyes and crystal had returned to normal
”Must’ve hit a nerve there.” Henry said loud enough for her to hear before following her inside and walking over to Tyler. ”You ready to go home, babe?”
Betty's eyes glew yellow and her crystal blue and started coughing
Lysander looked at Betty in concern and walked over to her. ”Are you alright?”
She shook her head and dropped to her knees coughing harder
Lysander handed Laura-Beth to his mother before quickly kneeling beside Betty. ”What’s wrong?” he asked worriedly.
" Henry did you say anything that would make her mad" Tyler asked
”I wasn't trying to make her mad.” Henry said. ”I was just trying to get her to tell me what was upsetting her after she broke that glass.” he explained, a little hurt that his best friend didn't seem to trust him anymore.
Tyler take laughed " Henry she's full of stress and she can't sleep anymore plus she's an oracle so when you get her had under this condition she gets sick" tyler said
”How am I supposed to know that?” Henry asked. ”What’s she stressed about?”
Lysander shrugged, unsure of why as well.
”It could be from becoming the new Alpha.” Evan suggested softly. ”When I first became King, the pressure got to me pretty quickly at first.”
Tears rolled down Betty's face as her eyes turned white
Lysander wrapped his arms around her and held her close.
She cried into his shoulder and held her hand out to Evan
Evan was a little surprised by the gesture but knelt down and gently took her hand.
Betty sniffled her cried dying down
Lysander looked at her face. ”Feeling better, angel?” he almost whispered.
She nodded quietly
Lysander gave her a soft smile and kissed her forehead. ”Can you tell me what happened?”
She shook her head
He sighed and nodded gently. ”Alright, love, alright. There's no rush.” he assured her. ”You can tell me when you're ready… If you decide to tell me.”
She nodded " see Henry that's how it works you don't just pressure someone into talking" she said
”Very funny, Bets.” Henry shook his head with a small sigh. ”Alright. I’m sorry.”
