So, basically, I'm writing a short little AU and in it, I want to use some lyrics {specifically, two} from the song that inspire the entire thing.

These lyrics would be in dialouge– As in, spoken by someone.

How do I go about this? Can I even do this?

Anything is helpful.

I'm doing something similar. I believe as long as you get permission from the artist and/or record company you will be able to use the lyrics. I'm not entirely sure so take this with a grain of salt, but this is what I've heard.
