I've been meditating on Isaiah 53 today, a prophecy chapter about Jesus. 10/10, must read.

Verse two I think makes canon that Jesus wasn’t especially good looking.

Which is why Judas would've had to kiss him to point him out to the guard dudes. I don't like when people make him seem like some angle lol.

Honestly I really like that. It points even more to the fact that God came down to us as Just A Dude if you get my meaning.

I love that, too, bc He was literally God and if He had wanted to the physical body of Jesus to be the most aesthetically pleasing thing to ever exist, He had more than enough power to do so. And tbh from everything I've read, God in His spiritual form is so beautiful that I'd die if I saw Him, so you can imagine it would've been more than easy for Him to make Himself as beautiful as He wanted as Jesus— but instead He kinda just chose to be this regular guy, nothing exceptional in appearance and stuff, and I think that says a lot about God's nature.

  • KB (my mind is blankin but I listen to soooo many of this boi's songs)
  • Tedashii (try Home feat. Crowder, Smile, Jumped Out the Whip,, He Lives, and Get Out My Way.)
  • Andy Mineo (try Uncomfortable, I Ain't Done, Never Land, and Hear My Heart)
  • GAWVI (try Fight for Me, JIT feat Andy Mineo, In the Water, and Show Me)
  • Social Club Misfits (try Up (the remix), Stones, Coogi Sweater, Into the Night, So Our God Came to Us, anddddd… hmmm… they've got so many good ones. Try Vibes, Vibes, Vibes and maybe Wavemasters.)
  • Zauntee (try God Taught Me, Center Stage, and Go Off)
  • 1K Phew (try Kung Fu)

(gasp) this whole conversation happened while I was asleep but who cares. Mostly into Christian folk/indie music, so those are the kind of bands/artists I’m gonna list

  • Rivers and Robots (very chill, unique sounds. Try “Brighter than the Sun”, “Home,” “The Eternal Son,“ and “We Have Overcome”)
  • Benjamin James (Very poetic and calm, his songs are almost like prayers. Try “Beggar,” “Love Teach Me,” and “Golden Age”)
  • Pas Neos (has a more electronic sound. Just listen to the entirety of his “Who Do You Say I Am?” album, it’s Jesus’ story from different POVs)
  • The Oh Hellos (Folksy, with a lot of biblical imagery and symbolism. Try “Pale White Horse,” and “Where is Your Rider,” they go together, “Dear Wormwood,” “Constellations,” “Hieroglyphs,” “Boreas,” and “Like the Dawn”)

I have more, but I don’t know their music as well as these

I've cried to this one more than once. Tbh all of Casting Crowns' songs really get to me. God of All My Days is beautiful.
