Ember looked at herself and frowned. She looked absolutely disgusting, like if someone had eaten something with the color gray and puked all over her. “T-This is kinda disgusting, but, I’ll just have to wear this until someone comes up with a better thing to wear for people who want to be in the damn Lava.”
"Beat you there!" Kami yelled, sort of just wanting to get away from the vat of goo. She dove into the water, her clothed magically a swimsuit: Lucitor law. Can't go in without a swimsuit, and if you try your clothes with become a swimsuit and won't change back.
Ember sighed and followed Kami, jumping into the ‘water’ and when she landed, the ‘water’ was splashed onto the sandy shore. Ember had closed her eyes before she even touched the ‘water’ not wanting to open them in case the goo didn’t work, but, of course the goo worked. When she felt she wasn’t being brunt she opened her eyes and let herself relaxed.
Kami ducked her head under the water, only her third eye visible. It was open, and her hair swirled around her. It was odd, how the lava had the same properties as water had, just would burn you.
Ember swam and swam, not minding that she did look like a goo monster. When someone has the opportunity to swim in lava, but to do that they have to be in covered in goo, some would take that opportunity and others wouldn’t. She looked around and spotted Kami’s third eye. “Yeet or be Yeeted.” Ember said as she dove under the lava.
Kami began to propel herself around. It was easier to do this in the lava, where her fire was the same material as what she was in. In a matter of moments, she was kilometers from the shore.
Ember, amazed on how fast Kami had swam from where she was to kilometers away from the shore, sighed and tried to do the same, but, alas, it didn’t work as well. She was having trouble swimming, but after five minutes, she managed to make it to the shore.
Kami took a deep breath and began to swim straight down. There was a secret area under the lava, somewhere only Kami and Tom could reach. It wasn't that it was because they were Lucitors, it was just that they were the only ones who could get down there without running out of breath - it was a long way.
Ember just did absolutely nothing expect floating on the lava. She lazily closed her eyes, and her goo consumed body floated on the lava. From the shore, it could be seen as some sort of goo-humanoid.
Kami finally broke through the lava, falling down. She landed on the squishy sponge and then stood straight up. "Now, to find that brooch. Or was it a pendant? I can never remember."
A person looked at Ember from the shore, quite afraid, but fascinated by her. It tilted it’s head and made a weird sound, getting Ember’s attention. She opened her eyes and whipped her head to the direction to where the person was, who was sitting on the sand with a sketchbook and a pencil in it’s hand.
"Haha, found it!" Kami hissed to herself, grabbing what she was looking for. She then propelled herself back up with her fire and went back in to the lava, taking a breath before doing so.
The mysterious person looked at Ember as if waiting for the humanoid-goo to come out of the lava and start attacking them. Ember on the other hand just looked at the person curiously, not caring about anyone at the moment. She was confused on why the person had brought a pencil and a sketchbook. Doesn’t they know that it could easily burn? Ember thought to herself.
Kami propelled herself through the lava. It was definitely harder to swim up than it was to swim down, but she had fire. So she used it to propel herself towards the surface, item in her hand.
Ember turned away from the person, paying no attention to them. She looked around for Kami, but didn’t see her. She sighed and just stared at the lava, half expecting Kami to come out of it. Nothing happened for the next minute and a half, so instead of looking at the lava, she looked up at the sky.
Kami broke the surface of the lava, looking around and taking a few deep breaths. She spotted Ember and dove back under, swimming towards her. She wanted to surprise Ember in more ways than one.
Ember seemed to be tracing the sky with her finger, and it was seeable. Figures of what Ember was tracing appeared on the sky as clouds. She smiled proudly of her work, after all, she’d been tracing the sky for the past 2 or so minutes.
Kami burst up behind Ember, grabbing her shoulders and shaking her. "Boo!" She yelled, knocking Ember out of whatever trance she was in. At least, that's what it looked like to Kami.
Ember screamed, almost jumping out of the lava. When she realized that Kami was the one who scared her, she sighed, but her lip and gave her a glare. She frowned and crossed her arms. “Was that really necessary? Scaring the crap out of me?”
"No…but it was funny. You need a bit of fun in your life, Ms Future Queen of Mewni." Kami smirked, knowing that Ember kinda hated that fact. "Be more like your mums."
She sighed and looked up at the sky, a sad look appearing on her face. She hated the fact that one day she would have to rule Mewni. Which meant, she wouldn’t have as much time to do whatever she wanted. “I am like my moms. I’m like. . a literal splitting image of them.”
"There's a difference between looking like your parents and actually acting like them. Because I look just like Papa but act like Dad. It's always been that way."
Ember nodded, caring about what Kami had to say, but at the same time not caring about what she had to say. In reality, Ember didn’t act like her moms at all. Well she did, but it was just a small portion. “Yeah, huge difference. Anyways, I think it might be time to go.”
Kami sighed. "OK. I'll take you the shower to wash the goo off. It won't come off with water: we have a special shower." She began to swim towards the shore.
Ember shrugged and followed Kami, looking around while swimming after her. It made sense that they had a special shower for the goo. It wasn’t like the goo was going to magically take off with water. “Well, alright.”
"So when I disappeared, I was going under the lava. There's a special room under the lava that only Papa and I can get to. We're the only ones who can last long enough in the lava. Anyway, I found something for you."
One they reached the shore, she stopped in her tracks and tilted her head. She was surprised, like really really surprised. She never expected Kami to actually find something for her. It was actually pretty sweet of her. “You did? What is it? Can I see it?” Ember asked eagerly.
"Well, it's just a really simple necklace. You do so much for me and I never really do anything back. I remembered that we had this old necklace that had been there for years, and I thought you would like it." Kami pulled out the necklace and handed it to Ember. "I have a really similar one that no one ever sees." She pointed to her own, the one that was now visible due to her swimsuit.
(Sadly, Ember’s necklace is blocked, but Kami’s necklace isn’t. It’s quite a beautiful necklace.)
Ember gasped when Kami pulled out the necklace. The necklace was the most beautifulest thing she had ever seen in her life. Seeing that she has seen only a few things that she truly thought was beautiful, this was something big coming from Ember. “Kami, you shouldn’t have. T-This necklace is beautiful and I don’t know if I can accept such gift.”
(ok that sucks, normally if its not blocked on mine its not blocked on others. its the same shape but a simple ruby)
"No, please take it. It's just been sitting there for years. The last person to wear it was….Great-Great-Great Grandmother Belial. And she has been dead for centuries. It's been perfectly preserved though, so don't worry about it."
