Even from the very beginning, Kirana knew she was different, quite different from the rest of her family. She'd always known that there was something that made her different from the rest of her family. Something, but she'd never been told what. The many times she'd asked before They had come to take her away, they hadn't told her. It wasn't long after she'd been taken away had she learned. As she found her way into the car, she closed her eyes, remembering what had happened when They had come to take her.
The eggnoid mark on her chest flashed a bright red, filling the entire room with light. "Kirana!" her mother, Putri had cried. "What's wrong?"
Kirana blinked slowly, turning to face her mother, unaware of the light that radiated from her chest. "What do you mean Mommy?" she asked, tilting her head slightly. And then, They came. Three men, in dark grey suits, white hair and red eyes burst through the front doors. They stood at probably, maybe six feet? (Kirana couldn't quite remember how tall they were, just that they were tall.
"Mr. and Mrs. Chandra, we're sorry to inform you that… we must take Kirana away now," the one in the middle said, his bright red eyes staring down at the two parents.
"B-but why? Did we do something wrong?" Putri asked, her eyes growing wide as she went to put her arms around Kirana.
"Mommy, what's going on?" Kirana started to ask, before calling out in an anxious tone, arms outstretched as one of the other men scooped Kirana up from Putri's arms, "Mommy!"
"Where are you taking her?" Putri asked, eyes wide. "What did we do wrong?"
"Mrs. Chandra, Kirana's eggnoid mark emitted a red light, which means that the terms of her contract have been violated. We cannot be sure what exactly happened, but it has nothing to do with us," the one who had first spoken explained, turning to leave. "Let us go, now."
"But-but I didn't do anything! I was just feeding her…" Putri's voice faltered at the end, and gazed at Kirana as the three men left.
The one who appeared to be the leader stopped, but didn't turn around. "She might be defective, then. Either way, we'll have to take her away," he explained again.
