( Coffee! We're feeling the same vibes, again! )

Sorrel's mind went through the answers Amory had given him. He almost fell perfectly in love with the blankets, he felt nearly the same way himself. A lot of people his age have closets full of clothes, but he honestly had closets of blankets. That's one thing Amory had right! His opinions on love felt sweet, too. Sorrel admired how Amory had such organized ideas, he should have expected it from him. The last response, however, set him soaring. He had to breathe in quite intensely to calm his heart down. "Amory, my favorite… If you'd like to try that, then I'll be just fine with complying, for you deserve only my best." He said, in summary. He wondered how he got through the phrase without crying, in all honesty.

@Elder-God-Whisper

(Lmao, nice! Another coffee lover! puts hand up for high-five {I went to my library last night and actually got a book about craft coffee and how to brew the best cup. If my one friend knew about this, she'd die. She firmly believes I'm a coffee addict. … Which I am.})

Amory smiled, and replied softly, "You don't need to give me your best. Your best is right here in front of me." Then he laughed. "I don't think my heart could take much more!" He slowly stopped laughing, ending up in a grin. "But I only want to try it if you want to try it. And don't ever, EVER let me pressure you into anything. I figure I should give you that warning now. And I don't just mean sexual things. I mean anything." He looked extremely serious, and there was almost a sort of regret in his eyes as he said this, as if he were afraid he was eventually going to drive the other away somehow or another.

( Honestly we're both addicts then! Two cups a day, at least, and never less! Books ALWAYS help me with mine, haha. )

Sorrel felt so, so reassured by Amory. He practically already set a little rule, and he loved that he cared so much. "Thanks, so much, Amory. Honestly, I'm super relieved right now." He said, softly. "Just knowing you're caring this much, just feeling that you've got me now, it's something so special…" He said, rambling on about how grateful he was. He gently gave Amory a unique kind of look, like a 'Don't you worry, I'll be here for you', kind of thing.

@Elder-God-Whisper

(I mostly mooch off my school's essentially free coffee. I just need to ask a teacher or someone with our "prize tickets" for lack of a better word, for ten and if I have my own container, bada-bing bada-boom, I have rather shitty free coffee, but it works in a pinch.)

Amory smiled a bit at Sorrel, and ended up laughing at the other's cute rambling, when they were cut-off by the waitress reappearing to take their orders, apologizing for taking so long. Amory waved away the apology, insisting that they were just fine and she had nothing to worry about. The girl looked relieved and happily took Amory's order of some Fettecine Alfredo before turning to Sorrel for his order.

( Haha. I wish our place did that. )

Sorrel honestly ended up so focused on Amory that he almost forgot what he wanted. He instantly went to his go-to. "I'd like the lasagna, please. Mind you, with extra cheese." He said. He luckily came that much prepared. He got such a delicious meal, and Amory got a great dish, too. He waited patiently until the waitress left to continue where they were, oh he was so flustered.

@Elder-God-Whisper

(I'm gonna miss the free coffee most out of this crappy place when I head off to college next year….)

Amory smirked at Sorrel. "You're cute when you're flustered, you know that, right?" He chuckled and reached over to gently trace his cool fingers over Sorrel's flushed cheeks. "Had I known better, I'd almost be rushing you to the hospital for a dangerous fever." He laughed. He was never really this happy in quite a while. This was a nice change… Though of course….. he sighed almost sadly as he gazed at Sorrel.

( I'm going to miss nothing, honestly, my school sucks. It doesn't even have an art class.. )

Sorrel laughed, so softly. He'd not gathered to confidence to admit it quite yet, but he loved it when Amory's fingers met his skin. But the sigh worried him, and he wasn't going to think a second before mentioning it. "Did something bad happen in the past, to you?" He asked. He carefully reached his hand up to Amory's, entwining their fingers as best he could, hoping it wouldn't alarm him.

@Elder-God-Whisper

(We have art classes, but I didn't get to take anything but a fashion design class (That was first offered last year) but the funding sucks. Also my teacher was a bit of an air-head. Sweet. But an air-head. Also there's way too much discrimination and injustice here. Literally just going to miss my BF and the free coffee.)

Armory gave a wane smile at the question. "You could say that I guess. Actually, many things were bad throughout my past, but, I guess I got through them all okay." His thumb rubbed across Sorrel's knuckles lazily, his gaze becoming distant as memories took over. He shook himself out of his reverie quickly though and smiled, "But that's neither here nor there is it? I'm not going to ruin our date with a "Poor, poor, pitiful me" tale." He grinned.

( Missing people, coffee, and low funded classes sounds like an awful combo. Discrimination, too? Heck you've sent me spiraling. That's awful.)

Sorrel laughed, sweetly, and gave Amory's hand a little, reassuring squeeze. "You can get through anything. And if you get to something you think you can't, well then, you've got me, too." He promised Amory. "No matter what," Sorrel thought to himself, "I have to become someone who loves him and protects him more than he could have ever imagined."

@Elder-God-Whisper

(Hilarious thing is, the college I'm going to, one of the art teachers is a family friend and when I went on a tour there, I ran into another family friend whom I had no clue worked there {And I can't remember his name….})

Amory smiled, silently vowing to himself already as Sorrel promised his support< that he could never let Sorrel see his brokenness. It would destroy the soft other. He never wanted to hurt him. He just wanted to protect, coddle, and love him. "Thank you, Sorrel. And I'll do the same." Then their food came out, forcing Amory to let go, reluctantly, of Sorrel. When the waitress left again. He grinned. "Dig in then!"

( lol, wow! What a coincidence! )

Sorrel smiled, in a plush way. He smelled his lasagna, and practically drooled a little bit. "Mmm~ I shall, enjoy yours, too." He said, before completely making a mess of the thing. He honestly could care less for the silverware, he only needed a fork and an appetite to take the square pasta down. He really let his formal guard down, that day.

@Elder-God-Whisper

(More like locality. lol.)

Amory chuckled at Sorrel's completely absorption in his food, before digging into his own, letting down his formalities this time as well, sucking up noodles like he was alone at home or in front of family. Sometimes he'd pause as thoughts slipped through his head before going back into his plate again, taking sips of his wine finally.

( See you Monday as well, Whisper! Have fun this weekend :D )

( Hi Whisper! <3 School let out for sickness so I'm back late!! )

Sorrel absolutely adored this moment. He was eating so serenely with his perfect love, Amory, and all seemed to be still. He continued to eat, more and more, until his stomach felt its fullest. He looked up from his messy plate and eyed Amory, who seemed to be enjoying his food equally as much. He couldn't suppress a laugh. "You're so perfect!" He cried, before more laughs followed.

@Elder-God-Whisper

(That's fine! I'm happy to see you again! :D )

Amory tilted his head in confusion, but a small smile still quirked his mouth. "I don't know how I'm perfect… Why does the real picture of perfection say that?" he set down his fork, leaving just a few noodles left on his plate as he rested his cheek in a hand, taking another sip of wine.

( Whisper! Oh my gosh screams hi )

Sorrel brought his napkin to his mouth, cleaning it completely before he continued. "You're elegant, Amory. Like, you're every reason the Earth keeps spinning." He said, excitement continuing to lace his tone. "I don't know. You just, you just are." Sorrel had no reason for his admiration, he honestly just loved the guy.

@Elder-God-Whisper

(Hi! How was your weekend? opens arms for huggles)

Amory chuckled. "And I think you may be intoxicated. Too much champagne perhaps." Amory thought for a brief moment before continuing the conversation. "You're slightly different when you're out of the office. I like seeing you like this. Relaxed."

Deleted user

( hug hug hug Honestly it was great, went ice skating for the first time! And yours? )

"Maybe I am," Sorrel thought aloud, noticing his empty glass. He'd drank that much? "I really don't like being so formal, I just have to act like a real 'boss' when I'm working." Sorrel complained. He leaned his head on his hand. "You're awful different yourself." He scoffed, playfully. More glitter in his eyes, he couldn't help that.

@Elder-God-Whisper

(Yay! Hugs!! Ugh, lucky, I've always wanted to go ice skating… And mine was pretty bad.)

Amory leaned forward a bit, humming softly under his breath. "Oh~? How so?" His hair was flopped in his face again, his own glass almost empty. He stared hungrily at Sorrel, his eyes gobbling up the sight of the other like this.

Deleted user

( Aww. I hope this upcoming weekend is better. It isn't that hard, you really ought to go. )

Sorrel could smell the other. He took in the various scents coming off of Amory's skin, cherishing each one differently. "So sweet, so pure.." He mumbled. "Attractive, well, more attractive in the best ways, agh." He sounded a little excited. He brought his free hand to Amory's cheek, caressing the guy's skin a little.

@Elder-God-Whisper

(It's more an issue of time and transportation. Also company.)

Amory chuckled. "I was going thinking of getting dessert here, but I think I need to get you out of here. I'm assuming you have a very low alcohol tolerance." He motioned the waitress who had been hovering around the nearby tables and paid for their meal. "C'mon, Buttercup." He said as he got up and held out a hand for Sorrel. "We'll get dessert at my place."

( Back! )

Sorrel giggled softly. "Yeah, sounds sweet." He whispered. He couldn't believe this, he was absolutely stunned. "Why'd I have to be this drunk?" He thought. He grasped Amory's hand tightly and followed him, wherever he took him. His new nickname hit him, then, and it made him blush a little darker than his constant blushing shade had been.

@Elder-God-Whisper

(Hi!)

Amory slipped an arm around Sorrel's waist, guiding him out of the establishment to the car, quickly and easily bundling him in and driving off. "If you knew you had a low alcohol tolerance, why'd you order champagne?" Amory glanced over. "Unless you wanted to get drunk for some reason…~?"

( Hehe. )

Sorrel felt where Amory's arm had moved around his waist, and his skin, all over, grew warmer. "I like the flavor, it's so gooood, Amory." He whined. "It just makes me happy, you know. Like how you've made me feel since the day I first interviewed you." He rambled. He was really into his memories, he loved them a lot. Maybe too much.
