Ira laughed softly, her head still on his shoulder. “Sorry, I had to call my father.” She yawned a smile creeping on her lips.

They all sat down at the big table and ate what Raven had cooked earlier. "So…Ira and I have something to say. That's why I wanted to eat with everyone. Ira already ate by the way…" he leaned over. "Should I tell them or you?"

"It's your family." She hummed, her voice low. "It would make the most sense if you did. I've had enough outrage for one morning." She laughed quietly, sipping from her water glass.

"Okay." he nodded leaning back. "We have decided to get married here in Japan…. on Christmas." Raven's family looked at him and then at each other and then at their mom. They cheered as the girls ran up to Ira asking to go to get the wedding dress. The guys congratulated Raven.

Ira laughed, as she was bombarded with questions. Holding up her hands, she looked to Raven with a smile. "I think they might be excited."

"I think so too," he whispered.
"Ira, Raven said you already ate. Do you wat to go look for wedding dresses now?" Raven's mom asked.

A sweet smile took over her face, and she seemed calm. "I'll need a few more minutes, because I need to call my father once more. But as soon as that is done, of course." She told her, lacing fingers with Raven.

"Of course, now that we're going to be family. I'll allow you to call me Mom. I'm not going soft just remember that." she smiled and started to wash the dishes.
"I'll go with you to call your dad." Rave stood up helping Ira up as well.

"Yes ma'am, I won't forget." She nodded, her smile sticking. Sucking in a deep breath, she nodded softly. "I need all the moral support I can get." She mumbled, standing up with his assistance. "My phone is up in our room, so we have to go there." She told him, putting a hand on his chest.

"Alright, let's go," he whispered before walking upstairs to their room. He closed the door. "I'll be right here if you need me okay?" he smiled wrapping his hands around her waist.

"Thank you handsome, you're the best." She smiled, before pressing a short kiss to his lips. As she pulled away, she took his hand and led him over to the bed. She sat on the edge of the bed, reaching over to her phone. "Wish me good luck."

"Good luck!" he kissed her cheek ad laid down on the bed.

Ira stared at her phone, and began to slowly punch in the number with her thumbs. Her finger hovered over the call button, so she shut her eyes tightly, and forced herself to hit the button. The slight hum of the dial tone echoed through the room, and she brought it up to her ear.

"Ah, so you finally called me back! Why did you decide to suddenly do this in Japan? Like what about here. We have nice places and besides what's wrong with America!" he yelled through the phone.

"Papa… I'm in Japan." She muttered, already getting frustrated. It was just the tone of his voice, making her teeth clench and her nails dig into the palm of her hand. "You know that, I told you that earlier." She told him, rather calmly at that. "I'm not a teenager anymore, I can make my own decisions."

“I know that, but why are you doing this so suddenly you know our family is scattered.” He snickered. Throwing a knife into a guys leg.

"I just…" She trailed, looking over to Raven. Her heart began to race faster, and she wasn't even sure what to say. So she consulted in her fiance. "What do I tell him?" She mouthed, covering the microphone.

“Tell him the truth Ira. We’re going to have to tell him if we do anyway.” Raven answered.

Sighing, she nodded and lay down besides him. “We want a family. And we want it sooner over later…” She told him, looking to Raven.

He stroked her cheek with a smile.
"You what?! Do you remember what happned last time you "wanted" a child? Not to be rude, but I want you to know that it can end up the same way." Her dad warned.

Her whole being tensed up, and she felt her heart ache. “You listen here, I know what happened, and don’t need to be reminded of the heartache that came. You know it killed me.” She told him, pushing away from Raven. Things were getting too personal, and she didn’t want him to see her get mad.

Raven sat up and held her. "Hey, hey, calm down…I'm right here okay. Breathe," he spoke softly.
"Is Raven with you right now?! That makes things even worse." the father took a deep breath. "Okay, listen to me. You know that there is a chance it could happen again. What will you do if it does? How do you think Raven will feel if it does. I know you'll break down. Listen to me, I just want you to be careful. Personally I just don't want you to have a baby with an Asian, but that's just me. I know your Mother supports it. Just be careful…"

Her jaw dropped, and she pulled away from Raven once more. He had taken it too far this time. “That’s it, if I have to drag you down here by the shirt collar I will. I’ll show you I can be happy with him. Nothing will-“ Her voice cut off as she made her way out of the room into the bathroom. Pulling the phone from her ear, she looked at Raven with a frown. “I’m sorry. I’ll be back in a few.” She whispered before disappearing once more into the bathroom.

Raven sat down as he started to hear yelling from Ira. He waited for her to come out. At some point, he walked up to the door and tried to knock, but then heard more yelling.
"Nothing will what?" her father asked.

"Nothing bad will happen this time." She spat back at him, pacing back and forth. "I can promise you that much. If it does, you'll be the first person who would get hurt. You know I have the ability to do so." She muttered sharply, her feet padding on the floor as she walked back and forth.
"I don't want to talk about this anymore. I just want you to shut up."

"Young lady, your speaking like that and you want me to come to your wedding. Yeah right. I can't get everyone here, but I can try. I can't believe you decide to do this now. Why do you suddenly want to have a child?"

She puffed up her cheeks, and tried to calm herself down.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have snapped." She mumbled, before mustering up the courage for her next answer. "I've felt… empty, ever since I lost… the last one. Raven has done a lot to fix that, but I still feel awful when I think about it, OK dad?" She told him, firmly, but not disrespectfully. "I feel like a moron, after everything that's happened. I need this."

"Okay…just don't think of him/her as a "replacement". That'll break you even more. I love you okay? I'll be there to walk you down the aisle okay?"

Ira nodded, swallowing down the lump in her throat. "I won't. I love you too." She whispered, and began to pull the phone away. "I'll see you Christmas."

"See you." Her dad hung up the phone and Raven finally knocked.
"Everything okay?" Raven asked wanting to open the door.
