(Hey, I’m a homeschooler, what do you expect? (Steven was taught by Pearl though))

“Well, I believe anyone who can think is a person.” Steven said proudly. “And that ‘beautiful heart-shaped gem’ is also a person, so please respect her.” He pointed to Spinel who had a curious “‘,:3” face. “But we’re getting off-topic: She doesn’t remember us, she doesn’t remember Amethyst! Just in case you didn’t know, Amethyst has helped her get through a…very tough time…” He looked away shamefully, grabbing the bottom of his shirt as if he was in pain, making Spinel look up at him, worried. “…That lasted….a very….very long time………”

“Don’t worry, Halfling, that heart-shaped gem that’s just turned into a person has all of my respect!” She paused and looked at Spinel. “So, what you’re saying is that she doesn’t remember us. She doesn’t remember Amethyst, who I’m guessing is the purple humanoid gem. Do you think it’s Short-Term memory loss?”

“I’m not sure, if it was short term, she’d still be trying to kill the Earth. She seems completely different.” He turned to Amethyst. “What do you think?” Steven asked her.

"I… I'm not sure…" Amethyst said, slightly upset that spinel didn't remember her

Steven attempted to pry Spinel’s grip from his arm, trying to nudge her over to Amethyst, but she didn’t seem to understand. But she did let go of him, and did smile at Amethyst.

Amethyst smiled back sadly. "Well, at least she's a happy little gem now…"

“Yeah, at least she’s cute and innocent like this…Should we try to get her memories back? Does that mean we have to tell her what mom did?” He asked hesitantly, maybe if Amethyst kept being nice to her, that might trigger a good reaction, he didn’t want to see this little Gem become distraught and depressed because of something his mother did.

“If whatever your mom did can trigger a memory, than that’ll be nice. But if it triggers a sad, hurt, betrayed memory instead of a happy one, my advice is to not tell her. But, who am I to tell you what to do?”

“It’s not a nice one, it’s sad, very very very sad. I wish I could go back in time and fix every bad thing my mom has done before it even happened. Even if she stared a war, even if she betrayed Homeworld, even if she had me to clean up her problems or not, leaving Spinel behind was one of the worst things she’s ever done!” Steven cried, his face was starting to turn pink, not as in flushing, I mean full-on bright pink. “I don’t want to know one. more. horrible thing she’s done. I don’t wanna’ hear about it, I don’t even wanna’ THINK about it! I just want to
F I X. I T ! ! !” Steven roared, sending a blast around him, creating a burst of wind, flattening the grass and making the trees snap ominously, shattering a boulder nearby as his yell echoed.

Spinel jumped back, avoiding the blast by a split second. She was trembling, frightened by his outburst, now instinctively clinging to the nearest person fearfully, which just happened to be Amethyst. But luckily, no one was hurt, mostly just stunned.

Amethyst put a hand on her head comfortingly. "Steven, calm down. I don't like hearing these things about rose either, we lost her too."

Steven looked to them, glaring angrily at Amethyst until he saw their faces, realizing what had just happened. He looked at his hands, shocked, before the pink glow suddenly went away.

"Thank you." Amethyst said. "We've all experienced loss here, I'm sure. Hell, maybe thats why that stawberry pimp is searching for us right now! But We Can't take our hurt out on anyone, or anything else. It's wrong."

He stayed silent, still too stunned at his outburst. Spinel didn’t seem to want to go back over to Steven…

"It's okay spinel, He's safe." Amethyst said to her. "He just got a little upset is all."

She nodded, but wanted to wait until the overall mood got better before going back, still a little tense.
“Amethyst…I’m sorry, I don’t know what came over me…” Steven sighed.
