"Come in." A voice sounded from inside,
"Come in." A voice sounded from inside,
Elizabeth entered the room keeping a fairly calm expression despite her worries. ”Hello. I’m Lieutenant Elizabeth Harper. I was told you can help me.” she explained as she looked around, trying to get a feel for what this person was like.
"Oh My God. A magic-user? Are you one of the magic users?" He excitedly bounced around before looking into her face.
"Name? Please please tell me quick, I need to know everything but it all starts with the name."
”E-Elizabeth Harper.” she answered with a raised brow. Maybe he didn't hear her the first time. ”But I also go by Liz most of the time. What's your name, sir?” she asked hesitantly, almost expecting him to say Rumplestilskin.
"My name is Chase! Codename- Rumplestilskin. Though I really don't know why I was given such a name…" HE blinked innocently.
"Anyways, How long were you in the knockout phase?" He asked excitedly as he began jotting notes loudly.
(How did ya know his codename lmao)
Elizabeth almost laughed at the codename but held back and just smirked a little instead. ”Nice to meet you, Chase” she smiled. ”I was told I was unconscious for three weeks.”
(It's all about the names, dearie. Sorry, it took so long to reply.)
"Three weeks! Oh My God. That means you're one of the legendary ones, quick, take this rhinestone and imagine pouring your energy into it." He quickly handed the stone to her.
@PrettyLittlePyro if you want you can make a character.)
”Legendary?” Liz murmured softly, a little stunned as she took the rock. She remembered Captain Blake mentioned something like that too… But it just seemed so strange. Magic? And she was supposedly powerful? It didn't make sense. She wasn't anyone special. How did this happen? Stuff like this doesn't happen to people. … Except it did, to a large majority, if not the whole, crew. She took a deep breath and concentrated on the rock in her hand, trying to put her magic inside it.
The rhinestone did nothing, for the first few seconds, then, it gradually started to glow and pulse, each pulsation brighter and more intense than previously. Then, the colour turned blue, then red, then yellow, it switched through colours with ferocious speed until it burst into a multicoloured crystal.
"Oh goody! That power…" He started flipping through a leather book and eventually stopped on a page.
"Mimic, your power is mimic!" He said excitedly.
Liz quickly stopped as the crystal exploded with color and her headache spiked. She clenched her fist around the rhinestone and rubbed her forehead with her other hand. ”Mimic? So, I can copy other people?” she asked, a little strained. ”How does it work?”
"Well, Mimic, or CopyCat, It uses other people's powers and makes it yours to control, course it's temporary and you can only use one at a time. A real pity… You just need to see someone using their power nearby and for about… 2 hours, You can use that same power."
Liz nodded as Chase explained. ”So that could be why I haven't lost control of anything yet. I haven't seen anyone use their magic for that long yet.” she reasoned. ”Does the power level of the other person matter if I tried to mimic them?”
"Well, the stronger the power, the more limited it's usage gets…" He said as he leafed through the leather book.
”Huh.” Liz nodded glancing at the book. ”Any tips on how to control it in there, professor?” she asked a little teasingly, more out of habit and a little from nerves.
"Of Course! Simply just imagine a vault, something secure… And putting all your energy inside and locking it up!" He exclaimed.
”It’s that simple?” she asked a little surprised. Liz looked thoughtfully at the gem in her hand. ”Do you… Are you a magic-user as well?”
"Oh… Uh well, It doesn't matter," His smile disappeared for a second.
"Right, we have a war to win, and Commander James is awake, seems you and him quite the chemistry…" He said busily as he put down his book and started writing notes,
"Right, go along now, I'm busy."
Liz raised a brow at how Chase avoided her question but was a little relieved to hear about James. She went to leave before his last comment stopped her. ”Not really. I’m just a friend to him at best and annoying at worst. Trust me. I know how I act.” she almost sighed and exited the room, heading to the Sick bay.
James meanwhile was laying on the bed and calmly looking at the palm of his hand which seemed to be holding a woollen ball of black wool.
"Hello, Lieutenant Elizabeth."
”Commander James.” Liz smiled walking over to him. ”Good to see you again. How are you feeling?” she asked in concern before glancing at the black mass in his hands.
"Good, you?" He turned to look at her with a smile, the wool circling around his hand as it morphed into a small bracelet.
”I’m fine. Then again, I didn't have a strong negative reaction to my magic.” Liz pointed out. ”But you seem to be getting the hang of yours.” she commented watching his little trick.
"That… Was certainly a nightmare.." He chuckled.
"Thanks for the help Liz, I'm truly grateful." He smiled at her.
"It's not hard, for the small tricks atleast, you just need to imagine using the power ad using your thought to control the magic."
”You scared more than a few people earlier. Including the Captain.” And me. Liz informed him gently. ”But I’m glad I was able to help you.” she smiled back before chuckling with a smirk at his explanation. ”I’ll try to remember that when I copy your magic.”
