Wilhelm frowned, the concerned expression not fading away any more. “Are you sure?”
Wilhelm frowned, the concerned expression not fading away any more. “Are you sure?”
Connor nodded. "I'm sure." he replied, accent fading away for a moment. He swallowed softly, shaking his head a little.
“..Alright. I won’t pry.” Wilhelm raised his palms up, wondering if it was something that he said that made Connor’s attitude switch so quickly.
Connor bit his lip. "It isn't yer fault. Sorry. Ah just…" he shrugged his shoulders a little, looking down. "Shit. Just shit, tha's all."
“No, no, it’s alright. Don’t apologize.” Wilhelm said gently, leaning forward to Connor. “You don’t need to be sorry. I understand what you’re saying, I think.”
Connor shrugged his shoulders a little bit. Pull out of it. You're safe. You aren't in danger. He swallowed. "Alrigh'."
“If you ever need to talk, though, you know I’ll listen, don’t you?” Wilhelm asked, head still slightly tilted. I care for you. He wanted to tack that on so badly, but he knew it would come off too strong.
Connor nodded slightly. "Yeah. Thanks. This jus'…isnae somethin' tha' ah'm comfortable wi' sharin' jus' yet."
He nodded. “Of course. Don’t do anything that you’re not comfortable with.” Wilhelm chewed on his knuckle a bit, looking away towards his book.
Connor nodded a little, swallowing. "Alrigh'. Thanks." He replied softly.
“Of course.” Wilhelm looked out the window again, releasing the smallest sigh. Rain clouds were beginning to roll in once more, the sky now covered by a dense grey blanket.
(i won't be on tonight, sorry)
Connor ran a hand through his hair and went back to sketching. He didn't want to think about what his uncle had done to him over the years.
(no problem!)
Wilhelm stood, setting his book down. He placed his hands in his pockets and walked to the window, watching the noonday sun get swallowed whole by the impeding clouds.
Connor glanced up for a moment, and sighed. "Yeh ruined yer pose, Will!" He complained teasingly.
“I ruined my- oh- sorry, sorry. I didn’t realize you were still drawing me, ha.” Wilhelm ruffled up his hair, sitting back down on his bed. “I was just checking the weather, is all. It’ll be raining soon, if you didn’t anticipate that already.”
Connor chuckled. "It's fine, Will." He replied with a shrug. "And o' course it'll be rainin' soon; this is England, after all."
He sighed dramatically. “I know, I know.” Wilhelm adjusted his posture again, his shape now fairly similar to what it was before he stood up.
Connor smiled. "Thanks." He said, going back to working on his sketching. He hummed softly for a moment, then went quiet again.
Wilhelm picked at his nails, waiting a few minutes before picking his book back up.
Connor kept drawing, working on the shading and sharpening the lines as well.
He glanced up at Connor for a moment, wondering if he was still drawing him. Wilhelm’s neck rolled on his shoulders as he stretched, small pops sounding out.
Connor kept drawing, humming softly under his breath again. He was nearly done.
Wilhelm fluffed up his curls, almost immediately smoothing them back down and repeating the process a few more times. He shut his book, placing it on his bedside table, and drew in a short breath.
Connor smiled. "Done." he announced, holding up the sketchbook so Wilhelm could see.
Wilhelm looked up, squinting a bit so that he could better see the sketch. “Oh, wow.. that’s so good. I’d say you drew me better than I actually look.” He laughed, a soft blush on his face.
Connor laughed a little. "No, ah try ta draw people as ah see them." He replied with a shrug. "But thanks."
“Yeah? That’s good to know.” Wilhelm nodded, twisting a curl between his fingers. “Maybe there’s hope for me and my looks yet, eh?”
Connor chuckled softly, closing the sketchbook. I think you're adorable, Wilhelm. But of course he didn't say that. "Maybe."
Wilhelm laughed a little, finally getting out of that pose. He stretched his legs out on top of his sheets, groaning a tiny bit as he did so. How many times has he drawn me, now? Two? Plus the painting.
(yes, two plus the painting. damn you Wilhelm, that's how he shows his feelingsssss lmao)
Connor watched Wilhelm for a moment, then looked away again. He blushed a little bit as he remembered his earlier, awkward words about Wilhelm's face.
