Connor got up and went to his own bed. "Alright." He replied. He glanced over at the window, where another strike of lightning arched through the sky.
Connor got up and went to his own bed. "Alright." He replied. He glanced over at the window, where another strike of lightning arched through the sky.
Wilhelm laid on his back, trying to steady his rapid and erratic breaths. He covered with face with a forearm, shutting his eyes.
Connor bit his lip slightly. He almost asked if Wilhelm wanted him to come over again, but…he didn't want to pester the German boy.
Wilhelm’s chest rose and fell quickly, seemingly unable to form a regular pattern. He balled up at a particularly deafening thunderclap, trying to cover his head. Wilhelm clenched his jaw, trying to stay quiet as to not bug Connor.
Connor finally sighed, looking at Wilhelm. "Uhm. Ah know this is a bit strange of a question, but…do you want me to come over an' lay down with yeh?" He asked slowly. "Or at least sit with yeh 'till yeh can fall asleep?"
“Uh-.” Wilhelm weighed his options. On one hand, he really loved and appreciated having Connor close to him. On the other, though, what is Wilhelm was disturbing him? But why would he ask if he was actually disturbed? “I.. wouldn’t hate it if you did. Are you sure I’m not bothering you?”
"It would nae be a bother. If 't were, ah would nae have asked." He replied, standing. "Bu' which would you rather ah do?"
“..True.” Wilhelm sighed, sitting up a little. “Either one, it’s up to you. I can’t guarantee that I’ll be able to sleep any time soon, though.”
Connor nodded, and sat down a little. "Okay. Well… laying down might be more comfortable, but a little more awkward. So tha's up t' you, since it's yer bed."
Wilhelm ran his fingers through his hair semi-nervously. “You can lie down, it’s fine. I don’t mind.”
He nodded, and hesitantly did so. There was another crack of thunder from outside, and he glanced to the window, then at Wilhelm again.
Wilhelm seemed almost frozen, save for his breathing. His hands covered his eyes, still trying to block out the bright flashes.
Connor put his arms around Wilhelm, holding the other boy gently. "Come 'ere." he murmured. "'s gonna be alrigh'."
Wilhelm drew in a long, shaky breath. He didn’t try to pull away from the Scottish boy, actually having to consciously refrain from melting into his arms.
He held Wilhelm close. It was a little difficult, seeing as how Wilhelm was taller than he was, but he managed it.
He managed to steady his breathing, heart rate following after. The rain still came down in heavy sheets outside, but Wilhelm was growing too tired to focus on it as much.
Connor kept holding Wilhelm, his own eyes growing heavy with tiredness. He rubbed Wilhelm's upper back gently, absently.
Wilhelm eventually fell asleep, holding onto Connor. He wasn’t clinging to him, only had his arms somewhat around the other boy.
Connor still had his arms around Wilhelm. I should go… but Wilhelm was warm, and Connor still felt cold, and he was just so tired…what harm would it do if he stayed?
Wilhelm stirred slightly, moving to hold Connor just a little more. He shivered from cold, tucking his form in just a little bit.
Connor held onto Wilhelm. He pulled up a blanket over them, drifting off to sleep. It won't hurt anything…
(should we ts to when one of them wakes up?)
Wilhelm was still fast asleep, although his shivers had subsided for now.
(hm probably a good idea)
Connor kept sleeping, snuggled up against Wilhelm.
Wilhelm finally woke up, surprised to see Connor was still there, to say the least. He was a little embarrassed by the night before, but not nearly as embarrassed as he was when Wilhelm realized that he was clinging onto Connor.
Connor was still sound asleep. At some time during the night, he had snuggled up close to Wilhelm, his cheek leaning on the other boy's shoulder.
Wilhelm was relieved that it wasn’t only him that had gotten close during the night, at least. He peeked outside the window, though he didn’t get up or move. The sun still hadn’t risen yet- it must’ve been early in the morning, maybe 2 or 3:00.
Connor let out a sleepy little sound, and somehow managed to burrow even closer to Wilhelm, still asleep.
He shut his eyes, letting out a soft breath. He placed his hands on the top of Connor’s back, keeping him close. Wilhelm drifted in and out of sleep for a little while longer, keeping the other boy close.
Connor was sleeping soundly, curled up with Wilhelm. Eventually, he awoke, blinking his eyes open a little bit. The first thing he was really aware of was the fact that there was a warm body pressed against his. Then he remembered that it was Wilhelm, and why.
Wilhelm was asleep again, although it didn’t last longer than a few more minutes. He slowly woke up, blinking the sleep out of his eyes. Wilhelm yawned, turning away from Connor when he did so.
