Sophie smiled as she took hold of Killian’s wrist and almost pulled him to the living room. ”Let’s see, what’s a quick game that we have?” she said mostly to herself before addressing him. ”You have a console preference?”

Sophie picked up the Xbox controller and handed it to Killian, sitting next to him. ”So it's on challenge mode right now. That means that you'll be racing against a ”ghost” of the best time.” she explained before telling him what each button does for this game.

Sophie mostly just watched him as he played, occasionally giving pointers when he seemed to need them… Though, she was sitting pretty close to him.

Jade poked her head in every once in a while to check on them, but she was relieved that they weren't fighting. Hopefully, things would stay that way.

Sophie got excited when Killian started gaining on the ”ghost” but she had to bite her lip to keep quiet so she wouldn't distract him.

Jade had finished cooking and was standing in the doorway to watch, honestly a little doubtful that he could beat her score.

Jade chuckled at his reaction and gestured for them to come into the kitchen.

”I swear, you two work at a video game company or something?” Sophie asked as she paused the game and walked to the kitchen. ”Jade writes or designs 'em and you test ’em?”

Jade rolled her eyes and went with it. ”Not really a lot of trouble makers visit video games studios.” she said. ”And I’m a computer freelancer.”

Sophie picked up a plate. ”That explains your work hours.”

Jade sighed and grabbed her own plate. ”There’s nothing wrong with my hours.”

”No. But you’re paychecks are weird.” Sophie pointed out.

”It depends on who needs my help and what kind of problem they have.” Jade said, slightly agitated.
