"Pleasure to meet you Lloyd!" Max said. "So…I know its kind of personal…but are you Pureblood?"

"Um, I'm not sure, actually. I don't know much about my parents. I live with my older brother, but he never talks about them."

"Really? That's interesting. I may be one myself, and that may be why my brother doesn't talk about my parents…" Lloyd got lost in thought for the moment.

"Hmm… what? Oh, since my brother went here, he just kind of registered me or something, I think." Lloyd twirled his wand with his fingers, and Hermes came into the room. "Oh! Hey Hermes. Max, this is my cat, Hermes." The sleek black cat sat calmly next to Lloyd, allowing the boy to stroke him.

"Sure, he's friendly. Hermes, go say hi to Max." The cat purred and walked over to Max, hopping in his lap. (Wow this is really helping Max study lmao)

Terra was sitting in her dorm, quietly practicing her potions. She wasn't nerd. She just liked potions. Well that was until she accidently made one explode BOOM "Sorry!" She yelled downstairs as she went to the bathroom to get cleaning supplies.

"Oh absolutely…" Max said. "The only problem is that they leave hair, everywhere."

"Hermes doesn't shed much, which is good. I named him Hermes, like the messenger god, because he sometimes delivers mail for me. And he's really fast." Lloyd jumped at the loud sound. "What was that?!"

Terra didn't care for what she looked right now. The firzy hair was annoying though. "Sorry, one of my potions exploded."She apologized to the boys before carrying the supplies upstairs.

"Nah." She replied from upstairs. Once she cleaned up, she ran back down stairs to the dorm library, taking out as many potion books as she could " Impossible, there must be another one." She mumbled under her breath as she skimmed through each book.

"Well then…" Max folded his arms. "I can see you're managing just fine so I'll just go back to…what was I doing, Lloyd?"

She looked up from a book. " For goodness sakes, our (Head teacher Sorry Im rusty) teaches potions." She exasperated.

Lloyd stood up and scanned the spines of the books. He found the potions book and read the instructions for Felix Felicis. "Add Ashwinder egg to a cauldron, then add horseradish and heat. Juice a squill bulb, add to the cauldron and stir vigorously. Chop up anemone-like growth on the back of Murtlap, add to mixture and heat. Add a dash of tincture of thyme and stir slowly. Grind up Occamy eggshell and add to mixture. Stir slowly then heat the cauldron. Add a sprinkle of powdered common rue. Stir vigorously then heat the cauldron one last time. Wave wand over potion in a figure of eight and say incantation ‘Felixempra!’… Did you do all of that?" He handed her the book.
