Lot let out a sigh and then a laugh, "Yeah, and knowing my shit luck we'll be stuck in the same group anyway."

Cat smiled. ”yeah but then we could still work together, ” she said looking on the bright side.

Lot shrugged and smiled, "Yeah, we could. But we're also stuck with your two old idiotic friends."

”Acquaintances,” she corrected putting an arm behind her head. “If we both have bad luck would that cancel it out and we’ll get a good group?”

"Maybe," Lot laughed slightly the sound strange and foreign to them, "Lets hope that's how it works."

Cat smiled at there laugh. She sat back up. “I hope it does,” she looks at them and smiles more. “Do you want to get out of here? I’ve been stuck in this room all day.”

Lot smiled a little as they stood up from the bed. They nodded, "Um, yeah. There's a local cafe nearby we could go to."

“Ok let me just get dressed I’ll meet you in the living room,” She said standing up from the bed. She walked over to her drawer. Her money was hidden under it along with a few other valuable but she’s waiting for Lotus to leave to get that.

Lotus left the room and walked to the living room. They were looking around the house still rubbing their arms a little. Suggesting a cafe may not have been the best idea as they checked their phone camera seeing their lipstick starting to wear away.

Cat came out dressed in a hoody and jeans. She walked over to them. “Ok let’s go,” she said walking to the front door. “I’ve never been to this Cafe before it’s walking distance right?”

"Yeah," Lot nodded as they started to walk to their door. They were a little worried but kept going, "AT least I think so. I saw it when Sam gave me a ride here."

Cat nodded. “Ok lead the way. If it isn’t then we’ll figure something out. The school isn’t that far so the cafe shouldn’t be that far either,” she said facing them.

Lot nodded once more and they turned to head out. They rubbed at their lips a little with their hand finding them wanting the lipstick out. They walked down the front path before turning right, "This way. I think."

Cat followed playing with her hands slightly. “What are you going to get at the Cafe?” She asked. She had taken her back pack with her as always. She disconnected her hands and gripping the strap.

"Coffee," Lotus responded quickly. They had gone to the cafe quite a few times and had a refular order, "Maybe a pastry. Depends upon what they have."

Cat nodded. “Yeah ill probably get tea,” she said walking next to them. “A pastry or muffin sounds good too.”

"They have the best croissants," Lotus responded quite knowledgeable, "Especially fresh."

Cat nodded. “Well I’ll have to try one,” she said smiling at them. Her eyes darted around them as they walked.

Lotus nodded as they smiled back. They had shoved their hands deep into their pockets to help prevent themselves from doing something stupid, "We can both get one."

Cat nodded. She was tempted to hold Lotus’s hand but she knew not to. She walks around still smiling. She tried to figure on them.

Lot kept walking along the road and eventually pointed at one of the buildings, “There’s the cafe.”

Cat turned to it. “Great! Let’s get inside it’s a little chilly,” she said walking to the Cafe. She put her hands in her pockets still fighting to urge to hold their hand.

Lot nodded with a little smile shoving their hand back into their pocket. They opened up the door and heard a bright voice, "Hey Lot!"

The girl behind the counter called out. She had short ginger hair and the faintest set of freckles along with a faded mark on her neck depicting a paintbrush, "Whose your new friend? I only ever see you with My-My."

"This is Cat," Lot introduced Cat. They gestured between the two, "Cat, Acacia. Acacia, Cat."

Cat smiled and waved. "Hi, it's nice to meet you!" She said walking closer to the counter. She looked between Lot and Acacia. Her eyes also glanced around the small Cafe.

"Ohhhhh, your Lot's thing!" Acacia responded as the pair walked up to the counter. She gave Cat a grin, "Myrah's been stuck between complaining about you and coming up with schemes involving you. Sorry, I'm Myrah's soulmate so I'm stuck with these two for life."

Lot shook their head and stepped up to the counter, "You know I want my usual coffee."

"Black like your soul got it," Acacia responded not missing a beat, "The afternoon batch of croissants just came out, so they're fresh. What do you want Cat?"

Cat smiled and stepped behind Lot. "I'll have a black tea and a croissant," She said. "I need to know. Is Myrah still plotting my death?" She smirked slightly glancing at Lot. She looked back at Acacia.

"Oh no she's past that," Acacia laughed ringing up the two orders, "I would tell you her plots at the moment, but I fear for my life and my clothes too much to do that. Separate or together?"

Lot looked at Cat, "I'm willing to pay."

"No I'll pay. whats the total?" Cat asked taking out her wallet. She wasn't taking no for an answer.

"About 10 dollars," Acacia responded ringing it up. She gave them a wink, "Family and friends discount."
