“Makes sense. If you can’t figure something out, you make it into something useful.”

“Yeah. I’d suspect boats as the current best option, though.” Kane seemed to nod. “Do you know how long to the nearest boat? Or where it is?”

"Couple days walk I believe. I was told at a trading post a few days ago there's one leaving for Europe in a few days time. I'm just hoping the source was correct and we get there in time. I say we, you don't have to come with me."

“Europe..” Kane would seem to whisper, thinking about something different for a few moments. He was born in Europe - Kane was, not Cerberus. It would be interesting to return to Europe, albeit with a different body. And not many people could claim that experience.

“No, I’ll come with you for sure,” he responded, his tone now somewhat excited. “And if the source wasn’t correct, I’m sure we’ll find a way somehow.”

Brooke looked over her shoulder, a smile gracing her lips, “Seriously? Awesome!” It would be nice to have some new company, “If there isn’t a boat we might have a travel down the coast line, see if there’s anything else going to Europe… or Asia or something.”

“Oh,” Kane started, “I’ve never been to Asia before. Europe would be interesting, though.” Especially since last time Kane checked, Europe was not a big hotspot for fighting for once. Though chances are the fighting did spread, he was curious on how other parts of the worlds were doing.

He pauses as his diagnosis on his system finishes, ceasing movement for a few seconds.

"I've never been to Asia, either," Brooke hadn't ever been outside of America, even though she wanted to travel, clearly. There was a time a while back her and her family tried heading to Australia, but they missed the boat by a day. When Kane stopped, she stopped, turning around to look at him, "You good?"

The diagnosis results were..troubling. Most of his systems were alright, although he would need to turn a few of the ones that he didn’t need on constantly off due to the largest problem at hand - his power core. Maybe it was damaged, maybe it was running out of energy; Kane wasn’t sure, but it would need a replacement.

“It seems my diagnosis has finished,” Kane states. “My power core is damaged, and I estimate I have about a week left of power as long as I reserve it correctly.” He’s unsure what’s to think right now, and it shows in his tone.

Brooke nodded in understanding, although she was starting to worry for the other. If his power core went out then she didn’t know if he’d make it to Europe, “Do you know what parts you need to fix it? Maybe we can pick them up on the way to the boat and I can patch you up on the way to Europe?”

“Just another core. As far as I know, the only places you can really get those are at factories, or from others…” He paused, searching for the right words. “Others like me. Power cores aren’t really something you ‘fix’ from what I can tell. They’re something to be replaced.”

“The problem with factories is that there’s a possibility that they could’ve been looted already, and that I have no clue where the closest one is.” Kane fell silent for a while.

“We could also try to make one of our own, though I don’t know how long it’ll take.”

"You don't know who you're talkin' to then," Brooke grinned, "If we find all the parts on the way to the coast, I'm sure I'll be able to make a new one on the way there and on the boat. Won't take too long if I know the layout that I'm assuming you know."
