Apollo nodded. "Well, where is he, then?" He asked, looking around the room. "I'll talk to him."

Icarus' eyes widened. "N-no, that's not…he…" He shook his head quickly. "No, he doesn't… he's working right now." He protested.

"I'm sure he won't mind some help," Apollo said brightly. "Especially since I am a god, and all."
(Highley trying to channel my inner Thor rn. My inner Thor is weaker than the one from the movies 😂)

Icarus fidgeted a little bit, lip caught between his teeth. "N-no, I…that's not…" he stammered a little, not looking at Apollo.

Apollo furrowed his brow. "Well, if it's really not a good idea, then I'll just, ah… let you figure it out," he trailed off, looking down. How was Icarus supposed to get out now? Maybe… "maybe I'll come back and visit, just to see how the plan is going."

Icarus gave a little smile. "I mean…if you want to." he replied. He knew better than to try and tell a god what to do. He might be stupid sometimes, but he knew better than to challenge a god.

Apollo nodded. "Right, then, I'll be back," he looked up and jumped, floating back up towards the sky. "That went well," he muttered, shaking his head. "Idiot."

Icarus watched him go with a trace of longing on his face, chewing on his lower lip a little bit. Gods, he wanted to be able to fly like that.

Apollo steeled himself before floating down to the room where he'd seen Icarus before. The boy didn't seem to be here this time. Apollo looked around for an exit, blinking in confusion.

Icarus indeed was not there. He was exploring the labyrinth again, still trying to find the way out. The boy was dressed simply, with his sketchbook, a water flask, and pencils in his bag. He was marking the walls as he went so that he wouldn't get lost.

Apollo glanced around again before shrugging and exiting the room. "Hello?" He called loudly, recieving no response.

Icarus cocked his head, thinking he heard something, but kept walking without a word or sound. If it was his father, it would be better to avoid speaking to him.

Near Apollo, there were faint pencil marks scratched into the walls. Arrows, with various symbols by them.

Apollo squinted at the wall, conjuring a small ball of light to see it better. Shrugging, he followed an arrow. It seemed as good a plan as any.

Eventually, if he continued following the same symbol, he would find Icarus. The arrow he had followed was the current route that Icarus was marking out. He was trying desperately to find an exit. Any exit. He had been trying to find it the entire time he had been stuck here with his father.

Apollo was immediately bored of following the arrows. "Where do these even go?" He muttered, beginning to think this was a bad idea. But Apollo wasn't one to give up quite that easily. After quite a long while of following arrows, he saw someone ahead of him. "Hello?" He called again.

Icarus whirled, golden eyes flying to Apollo. "Oh." He bit his lip. "You're…back?" He asked slowly, cocking his head a little bit. He ran a hand through his hair nervously.

"I did say that I would be," Apollo answered with a smile. "This place is confusing."

Icarus let out a humorless laugh. "Yeah, no shit." He replied, shaking his head a little bit. "My father designed it to be." I haven't seen the world unobstructed by walls in four years.

"Your… father designed this?" Apollo asked, confused. "Your father designed his own prison?" Gods, what an awful life that would be.

"Yes. For the Minotaur." Icarus replied slowly. "It was supposed to be unsolvable. And then…that hero solved it, and he and I were put inside it as punishment, since it was supposed to not be solvable, and it had been solved." He shook his head.

"Ah," Apollo stared at the ground, processing the information. "So you didn't even have anything to do with it? You're just stuck here."

"Yes." Icarus replied simply, shrugging. He squinted up at the sky for a moment, then looked at Apollo again. He shook his head a little bit.

"Wings, that's what you need," Apollo decided. "To get you out of here. They're quite fashionable these days, as well."

Icarus blinked slowly. "I…yes, wings would be lovely, but I am only human, Apollo. I can't just fly like you can." he crossed his arms.
