Hatta stood at the center. "Come here."
(Kk. It's fine)
Aliana walked up next to Hatta, "Okay?"
Hatta looked down at the center. "Supposed to stand here and wish." He said softly. He began to wish.
"Oh," Aliana responded softly as she closed her eyes and began to wish as well.
The lines carved at the center began to glow faintly. Hatta was silent.
Aliana creapt one eye open to see what was going on and was in awe of the lights. She continued to wish understanding that was what needed to happen.
The landscape around them swirled, and then vanished. They were now standing in a field, and a well sat before them.
Aliana opened both eyes and looked around in wonder before looking at Hatta with a soft smile on, "This place is amazing."
Hatta smiled. "Yeah." He said after a moment.
Aliana giggled once before she started to make her way towards the well, "So this is the well?"
Hatta nodded, and started walking. "Yeah. They'll show us to the next leg of the journey, but not without price…"
"What, what kind of price?" Aliana asked quietly.
Hatta shrugged. "It depends."
"Can you give me an example?" Aliana looked at him and then to the well before looking back to him.
Hatta shrugged. "Not really. Sorry." He replied softly.
"Oh, okay," Aliana responded softly now more wary of the well.
Hatta led her closer.
Aliana took a deep breath as they walked up to the well.
Hatta called out something in a soft voice.
Aliana remained silent allowing Hatta to do what he needed.
There was a soft sound from the well itself, and three figures came out of it. They looked like young girls, until you met their eyes. Their eyes looked older than time itself, holding more memories and possibilities than should have been possible.
Aliana stopped and almsot took a step back after looking into their eyes. She stayed strong and next to Hatta though still silent.
Hatta sighed. "Hello, ladies. I'm back." He said with a faint smile.
The smallest tilted her head. "Hello, Hatta." She said in a soft voice.
Aliana didn't know what to do so she went to default staying quiet and in the background. Though she stayed close next to Hatta.
The smallest looked like she was eight, but she couldn't possibly actually be eight. No. She wasn't. "What do you need this time, mad one?"
A muscle in Hatta's jaw twitched at the nickname, and his smile tightened. "We need to find the sword that can kill the Jabberwocky."
Aliana could tell he didn't like the nickname, but it wasn't like they could talk back. Those girls held what he needed.
The girls all gave smiles reminiscent of a sharks. "Come with us, then."
Hatta walked to the well.
Aliana walked with him. She would stick with him and these demon children until they told her not to.
The girls looked at Aliana. "Ooh, and who is this?" One asked, cocking her head curiously. "What do you want, lovely?"
"I, I'm just here with Hatta," Aliana responded quickly putting her hands in front of her in a defenseless manner.
