Totally. Lucasfilm knows a character can exist through the events of the Original Trilogy without being seen. (which is what I thought was going to happen to some of the characters from Rogue One.)
They did that with Poe's parents. I can see a reason for Sabine not being mentioned in OT is that there were further attacks or something on Mandalor. (crossing my fingers they don't kill her) I don't know about Ezra though.

Going back to Rebels, what did you think of the Inquisitors? I was disappointed when they just altogether dropped them in season 3 :P
I liked the Grand Inquisitor, the others were okay, but I can see why they dropped them since Maul and Thrawn came into play.
Yeah, totally, but the whole thing with them ending in season 2 felt weird. I don't think the wrapped them up very well.
True. There were at least 7 females and 9 males, and only 3 minor Inquisitors died on screen, so….maybe they’re still out there?
Who knows? Maybe they'll be in that live-action series. It takes place 7 years or so after ROTJ.
