Zenith smiles. 'I hate doing laundry. I typically like to be moving- I'm kinda more of an active person.'
And he's not lying. Most of his exercise is killing people- evil people- and running from the government, but he is active.
Zenith smiles. 'I hate doing laundry. I typically like to be moving- I'm kinda more of an active person.'
And he's not lying. Most of his exercise is killing people- evil people- and running from the government, but he is active.
'Oh ew excersize. Gyms are bad evil places for me. Doesn't mean I'm NOT fit though. Just. Differently fit I guess?' She wasn't really sure how to explain herself on this, so she just went with it. Whatever worked right?
Zenith chuckles a little at that. 'I'm not a body-builder or anything. I'm more lean- I typically do a lot of running-style exercise.'
His fighting style is speed- so he's not really lying. He does a lot of running and jumping around. He's got to be fast to avoid bullets.
'A runner huh? Interesting. Don't expect me to go running after ya in any way though.' She said. Flirty, stand offish and upfront was just how she rolled.
He feels like there's something here he's missing. Some kind of innuendo. Oh well. Probably better just not to comment on that part.
'Don't worry, I don't expect you to. My exercise routine is kinda a lot, especially for someone new at working out.'
Zenith has been practicing fighting since he was three, and he still almost loses fights at times. Probably better not to get her involved.
'I'm not new. Oh no. Again I'm just fit differently.' She shrugs, humming along to the music.
Zenith tilts his head. 'So if gyms are evil, how do you work out?'
Not that Zenith himself uses a gym, but she doesn't need to know that.
'Mostly chasing after my siblings, getting my stupid ass out of stupid ass situations, and having a really high metabolism. I also roller skate everywhere, mostly.'
Zenith has to stifle a laugh. 'Second one sounds like a mood.'
Hopefully he's using the term 'mood' correctly. John taught him it, but he keeps getting it mixed up with other modern terms.
(HE SOUNDS LIKE A GRANDPA HAHAHA IT'S GREAT!) 'Yeah well, when you have 15 other siblings, it's just part of your everyday life ya know?' She smiled a bit. (He did use it right tho)
Zenith's eyes widen. 'I'm sorry, was that a typo? 15 siblings?'
Maybe she's joking? Yeah, thats probably it. Either that or a typo.
(Lol, he knows next to nothing about modern things. Or old fashioned things. Or life in general. There's a reason for that.)
'Yup! All of them are adopted. It's…fun?' She sent with a lot of uncertainty.
Zenith blinks. Woah. That's… a lot. From what John told him about having siblings, that sounded like a living hell.
'As an only child, I humbly apologize. My siblings must have gotten mixed up in the mail and got sent to you.'
Well, technically he was an only child for a reason… he doesn't even technically have parents.
She laughed. 'Ha! That's funny. I like a guy whose funny. It's fine really. I'm a twin actually. So if we hit it off you'll see my brother Evan around a lot.' The two were roommates actually, but her brother was off at drama practice down at the Community Playhouse for the production of Dear Evan Hansen. (I've never seen or heard the soundtrack cause it's such a sad musical, apparently, and so I should like be with someone like my boyfriend when I see or hear it to cuddle and cry with so don't assume I know very much.)
Zenith smiles. 'Well hopefully you still find my humor funny after knowing me for a day or two- I don't really know how to shut up. It tends to get me in precarious situations.'
Then a thought struck him.'Wait, if all of them are adopted, how can he be your twin?'
'Uh we were born before we got adopted? Duh? At the same time? Also I've probably done stupider, and more dangerous.'
Oh crap, now she thought he was stupid. Zenith re-reads the message several times, before deciding to ignore the first part.
'Stupider than me? Unlikely. More dangerous? Impossible.'
Zenith smiles. He's liking the back-and-forth banter they've started to have.
'HA! Excause me handsome, but you are so wrong there!' She sassed back smartily.
Zenith arches an eyebrow. 'I managed to get the government to try and kill me and literally all I did was exist. Top that.'
Maybe he shouldn't be telling this to a random person on the internet, but worst case scenario, he can always kill her.
Probably.
Heck but what if she's not evil??? Then he can't kill her. He should not have sent that, but it's too late to do anything about it now.
'Pffffft. That's nothin'. I'm already dead according to a LOT of fake documents and a "car crash" that happened last summer. And tragic pasts…hell I'm basically an antivillian at this point in my life.'
Zenith's eyes widen. Oh. Okay. So she's like him…
'I consider myself an antihero. The exercise I do? Fighting off the military. Tragic past? I was born to die.'
'Isn't there some song about being born to die? I feel like there is. Anyways. Fighting the military…okay. Depends situational wise.'
Zenith smiles. Well, looks like she's taking this really well.
'In my defense, all I did was not want to die. And now they're trying to kill me. Seriously, do I not have rights? Don't answer that legally I do not have rights.'
'Jeeze someones sassy.' She smiled and got dressed, grabbed her guitar, and headed out the door. She went out and played guitar on street corners, just for extra cash. She sat there and began to play on the sidewalk, enjoying the sunny afternoon.
Sassy? Zenith frowns. He wasn't trying to be sassy. He was just stating things that happened- and providing commentary on it. But still- was that sassy?
'I mean- legally I don't have rights because I'm not considered human. But that's probably enough about me. What was that about a fake car crash?'
She didn't message back, instead sent a picture of her, and a street sign. 'I'm making a few extra bucks but come visit if you like.'
Zenith blinks. Woah. Okay. She- she really didn't care. Either that or she was trying to lure him into a trap so they could capture him.
He starts trying to weigh the pros and cons and the risks- but then just sighs. Screw it- thinking sucks.
The boy sends a simple 'On my way' before strapping on his combat boots. He ignores Katsumi and Crystal chatting as he makes his way out.
A few steps later, he turns around and goes back inside. "Do either of you have a map?"
"Use google, idoit."
Soon, he's at the street. He quickly recognizes Evelyn, and waves as he walks over. He smiles when he reaches her.
"Hi." He greets.
"Sup! Sorry I just like talking in person better. Sit." She pats the sidewalk next to her. "Anyways the whole fake car crash. Basically I ran myself into debt and couldn't pay it so I faked my death." She shrugged. "Se la vie. I'm technically Isabelle Mary Smith." She laughed a bit and started in on I'm Yours by Jason Mraz, singing a bit.
Zenith sits down beside her. "Debt. Yikes." He knows he's heard that term before, but he's not quite sure what it means. He should ask Crystal when he gets back. "I- I'm technically Theta. But please don't call me that. It has… traumatic memories attached to it."
She nods as she stops at the verse. "Indeed yikes. And I won't. Zenith sounds cooler anyways, Theta is some math term I was supposed to learn in highschool." She smiled, nudging him a bit with her shoulder, being a tease.
