(Hey, yes you can join. Guys it's supper time, and I might not be back for about an hour or two bc my mom said that my dad might make me engage in this foreign activity called, 'human interaction'. Screams OH THE HORROR!!! But I'll be back as soon as I manage to escape. In a saltwater drowning, the lungs fill with salt water which draws blood out of the bloodstream and into the lungs. This liquid build up in the air sacs stops oxygen from reaching the blood. We all know we can't live without oxygen - so we die. In other words, in saltwater you basically drown in your own fluids.
