"You're right that would be the nice to do." Tempest responded as he started to help as well, Ca noticed and nodded "Thankie kindly." Cal starts to put trash in a bag he brought and holds it out so they could put their trash in as well
Joanna smiled politely and tossed it away. She turned back to Tempest and gave him a smile. "Did you want to talk with him? You seemed to be excited." She whispered.
"I'm kinda nervous I mean he's like a role model to me." Temp muttered but gave a little smile "I'll try to."
"Want me to be there with you?" She offered taking his hand.
Cal had been looking to the two, his eyes glowed an orange for a second "A canine hybrid and a…human?"
Joanna sighed. "Yes, that's me. Human." She put emphasis on the word Human.
Cal chuckles a bit "Happy to see you share our views ma'am." He said sticking out a hand in greeting and young man I don't believe I've seen you before either."
She smiled a bit with a nod. "Of course! It's so dumb people are racist." She sighed shaking her head.
"Agreed" he turned to Tempest then "And I appreciate what you started too young man…Mr. Daniels I think's your name."
"Y-you do?" Temp is taken completely be surprise.
Joanna smiled squeezing his hand a little. "That's really cool Sir." She smiled at Cal.
"I mean I'm just doin' w-what's right." Tempest responded
"It's more than than many others do." Cal responded with a kind smile
"Thank you sir" Temp's tail wagged behind him happily
Joanna smiled glad to be friends with Tempest. "He's really sweet. Better then he claims." She boasted a bit.
Cal looked to the human and back to Tempest "You two make me think my work's paid off a bit. A couple of years ago this," He motioned to their hand holding "Would never have happened out in public."
Joanna looked at their hands and flushed. "I-…" She went quiet still pink faced. With her free hand she awkwardly rubbed her arm.
"I'm proud and hope that whatever this is…that it only strengthens my friends." Cal said
"Thank you so much sir." Tempest responded to the activist.
Joanna gave a smile still flushed. "Yes, thank you sir." She said softly loosening up a bit.
"I must be off now, for I'm needed elsewhere. It was such a pleasure to personally meet two supporters." Cal smiled and headed off, vanishing after a few feet.
"He's amazing." Tempest said with a happy little sigh "I never really thought about the importance of the studio in that way."
Joanna stayed quiet but smiled up at him. She reached up and pet his head softly.
Tempest leaned into the pet a bit. "Well I guess we better get you back to your car."
"Yeah probably, I have to get ready for work." She smiled pulling her hand away. "You ready to head back?" She asked.
"alright then let's head on back then." He told her, and so off they went back to the studio, the other workers talking and joking
"Alright yeah I though you were a werewolf." Tempest said to Gavin as the subject was confirmed by the one in question.
Joanna stayed quiet still and listened to everyone having a good time. She felt bad for seeming to take Tempest away from his friends, so she thought it was best to let him have his moment.
Lexi had come up beside Joanna and nudged her shoulder "Hey come on Jo no need to stay quiet you're one of us now." Lexi gave Jo a rare smile and when back to antagonizing Felix.
She smiled softly. "R-really?" She asked quietly looking at Lexi. She was surprised- she really wasn't sure what to talk about anyways.
Soon they had all gotten back and Tempest hugged Jo and wished her a great day at work. "Hey even if the boss can't come visit you at work a lot of us can" Gavin mentioned
"I dunno I'm still four thousand going on 17…at least what I feel like." Lexi joked.
"Sounds good- just don't get too rowdy is my only request. I have to clean up afterwards." She shrugged stretching. "I'll see y'all later- gotta get there before my boss yells at me." She laughed a little before heading to her car with a wave.
The others wave and with a goodbye they head back inside for some actual work.
Joanna started her car and drove off to her apartment in silence.
"You like a lot huh?" Felix asked Tempest once they were inside
"Of course I like her she's amazing"
"Then take her out, make her feel special, the studio is closed Fridays anyway." Felix reasoned with Tempest.
"You'r completely right man, thanks." Tempest answered as he when back into the office to think as he went through bills and other assorted things.
Joanna had made it home and changed in a matter of minutes. She freshened up her hair and makeup and was already pulling up to the bar. "Alright Jo it's gonna be a long night." She sighed slipping out of the car.
