"Yeah she's the drummer in the group…sarcastic but caring." a little smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.
"Yeah she's the drummer in the group…sarcastic but caring." a little smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.
"You like her?" She asked skeptically.
"She's a good friend but…well vampires are kinda cold…like literally. They're good people but not my thing."
"Oh I see. Most people either make fun of or downgrade vampires." She laughed thinking of the movie Twilight.
"That's not very nice." Tempest mutters, but takes her hand to exit the studio "You have enough time right?"
"I may have to leave early. But I should have plenty of time." She smiled and followed behind him a bit. "And I didn't mean what I said- I just meant thinking of a specific thing. It had nothing to do with the vampire kind."
"What were you thinking of?"
"You heard of the dumb movie Twilight?"
"Oh jeeze movies always screw up that sorta stuff." Tempest laughs a bit "Man those movies were awful."
"Mhmm it sucked really bad." She chuckled. "I feel bad honestly."
"Ah you humans made something that was entertaining to yourselves and Lexi can't stop laughing when watching the first one."
"Well that's nice at least." She tried not to let it bother her when he said 'you humans.' But it was kind of difficult to look past.
He kissed her cheek before saying "Come on let's go." taking her hand again "We don't need to drive there."
"You sure?" She asked as another pink blush spread across her face. It was something about the way he kissed her cheek that just caught her off guard.
"Yeah it's like a three minute walk and if you get cold," He shifted into his canine like form "I'm warm." He gave her a smile as he opened the studio door
She giggled and walked out the door. "Thank you."
"No problem." He responded as they walked, the studio member followed close behind
"So where is this protest at?" She asked with a huge smile.
"It's downtown right in the middle of the road to be frank, so that we can't be ignored" Tempest answered, still clutching her hand.
"Sounds good to me!" She smiled getting excited.
Soon they were at the large protest. It looked typical enough, signs, yelling but…never did they think actually riot police would be there.
"We've been here longer than any of you!" one protester shouted
they all seemed to be centered around one person they both of them could not see yet.
"Who's in the middle?" She asked loud enough for Tempest to hear.
"Cal. No one knows his last name but he's been doing this kind of stuff across America for about a decade." Tempest responded
"Cal?" She asked standing on her toes. She couldn't see over the crowd and she probably never would. She huffed in annoyance crossing her arms. "I forgot this is why I don't go to protests."
"Hey get on up." He squatted down for her to get on his shoulders. "I want you to see this this guy."
She flushed a bright red. "You… you sure?" She asked rubbing her arm awkwardly.
"Yeah come on." He smiled and patted his shoulder
She sighed and was still a flushed color: she got on his back and smiled. "Am I too heavy?
"Nope you're fine." He said to her, in his canine form to give them a couple of good solid inches more. Cal could be seen soon. He had been given a circle of space and wore a wore a vest over a flannel button down and a pair jeans. He had horn jutting out of either of his head put had the complexion of a normal person.
Joanna lay her chin on the top of his head smiling. She liked feeling tall for once. "This is really cool!" She laughed.
