"Well I think I'll go find him, talk with ya later." She smiled waving.
"Well I think I'll go find him, talk with ya later." She smiled waving.
"See ya Mal." Ember waved back, heading off to the mess hall for an early breakfast.
Mallory found the lab and walked in quietly. "Tempest?" She said softly.
"Heyo I'm over hear." Tempest called back as he messed with that dark looking slimy matter in a containment cell, gloves connected to the cell so he could poke and prod at the little thing.
She walked to where he stood. "What is that thing." She asked her face full of wonder.
"It's what the those things we saw in the street are made out of. I'm trying to figure out more about it so we could potentially cure infected…but it's not getting anywhere." The young man responded.
"Does it have a brain?" She asked putting a hand on his shoulder.
"If it does it's most likely very primitive. It responds to stimuli…" He poked it and it attacked the gloved finger.
(I don’t know how to bring myself back into this)
(Well It's okay we can hold until you figure out how to)
(No, it's fine, I don't mind)
(well come back in whenever you want ^^)
Jake Walked down to go to the library, to read some books on spells. " Where is the book of dream spells…AHA there it is, 'Gerimaiah Jones's Book of magic dreams' this has got to help me find my daughter…"
"Could I try something?" She asked quietly.
Jake started to read more on dream spells, when he heard a noise echo from the walls hurry up..
Hurry up … she's waiting for you — MAKE THE TRADE…OR SHE"LL DIE
(Joshua will remember that)
"Sure" Tempest shook the creature from his gloved hand and pulls his hands out.
Mallory shut her eyes and tried to get to the creatures brain.
Jake then started chanting a spell to follow where the voice was coming from, it sounded like it was bouncing off some metal walls.
In the lab the creatures thoughts were scrambled and feral-like though the overlying message was spread, spread, spread
Back in the library The voices magnified though only Jake could here, and soon the message was almost impossible to pinpoint. It seemed like Jake would need to find an adapt magic user…or somebody that was
Mallory felt her head pounding, louder and louder.
"Stop it!" She yelled dropping to the ground holding her head in anguish. She was breathing heavily and groaned in pain.
Tempest sent a controlled shock through the containment chamber and the thing passed out cold. He then keeled by the girl "It's okay Mallory." He put his hand on her shoulder "It's not awake anymore."
The creature's thoughts seemed…organized and rational….fearful and confused even.
She shook her head still holding it. She was on the ground making anguished groans. "Make it stop…"
Tempest looked pained to do it but put the shock to a lethal level and snuffed out the only sample he had ever been able to collect
She took a deep breath feeling her pain subside. She had tears in her eyes and looked up at Tempest. "I-I…"
He keeled down lower and picked her up in an almost brotherly caring matter "Shhh I'm so sorry I should have know that wasn't safe." a tear forming in his good eye as well.
She shook holding him close. "Did you kill it?" She asked muffled by his shoulder.
"it's dead…it can't hurt you anymore Mal." He whispered, still holding her in a protective embrace.
"I'm sorry Temp- I should've thought it through better…" She sighed rocking back and forth.
"No this is my fault…I'm the one who should think these things through." he said, slowly shifting to his canine-like form
