He made his book disappear back into his room along with his glasses, and fixed his shaggy hair.

"What about you? You OK?" She asked eating her fruit.

Jake looked at her, noticing how pretty her eyes were, but then stopped looking in them. memories of his wife flashing back…^^Jake!……Hi Honey…..isn't she beautiful?….-shakily- I-i Lov-ve You-u…..Dies…with a baby crying in the background and it echoing in his head…^^ " O-oh me? Y-yeah i'm perfectly fine. please excuse me for a minute."

"You sure?" She asked taking his hand in hers.

He blushed crimson, then cleared his throat. "Yes. Would you want me to show you some more spells outside?"

"Would you!?" She asked an excited look glowed on her face.

"yeah just follow me." He held onto her hand more and led them outside where no one could get hurt. "Alright what do you want me to make or do?"

"Hmm, can you make it snow?" She asked with a soft smile.

"Hmmm, yes i can. Trimio Ducious Remious!" With that it started to snow lightly.

She smiled reaching her hand up. The little flecks landed in her hand and in her hair. "Wow…"

Jake saw the smile on her face and blushed , then adding his own flare, made a bouquet of blue Tulips with white tips, handing them to her.

She looked at him and turned pink herself. "T-thank you." She smiled again taking them.

Jake smirked but then heard a scream from within the woods. "Someone"s in trouble!"

"What?" She said confused and looking at him.

"didn't you hear that scream? it was from that direction." He said pointing towards the woods.

She looked at him confused. "I did- but what do we have to do about it?"

Living shadows seemed to be trying to attach themselves to another creature, it was a bizarre creature that only Jake had seen before, but the shadows Mal Knew all too well. The creams screams from the shadows whenever the creature tried to attack them

" HOLY MOTHER OF ALL GODS! Get Tempest! NOW! I'll go save whom ever screamed." Jake then sprinted off into the woods. Fighting off the creatures with fire and ice.

"Jake no!" She screamed running after him.

The living shadows split up as the other took the brunt of the attack by Jake

Jake kept casting spells. " GET SOMEONE! WE NEED BACKUP!"

Mallory turned back and started sprinting back to Haven.

The shadows rushed up to Jake and started to latch onto his legs.

Ember heard the front door burst open and poked her head from her room, in the middle of braiding Anna's hair for the small child

"Ember!" She yelled loudly in pure panic.

"What is it Mal?" Ember asked as Anna peeked out from behind Ember as well

Mallory grabbed Ember's arm. "It's the shadows- and something else- we have to hurry! Anna you need to stay here." She said pulling Ember.

Ember rushed out with her. Em's Bow and quiver appearing on her back as they rushed out (we should wait for Jake now)

Jake was fighting off one of the beasts when another one pounced onto him biting his shoulder.
