Nik nodded, leaning against Eclipse for a moment. "I'm okay." he replied softly.
Nik nodded, leaning against Eclipse for a moment. "I'm okay." he replied softly.
Eclipse nodded, "Do you want to get dressed?" he asked again, supporting him gently.
Nik nodded, and grabbed the clothes from where they were, carefully starting to get dressed.
Eclipse made sure to support him, but otherwise let him do it himself.
Nik winced slightly when he moved to pull the shirt over his head.
Eclipe hummed, "You okay?" he asked again.
Nik nodded a little, pulling the shirt on. "I'm fine." he replied softly.
(FYI I have to go in an hour and will not be back until 10PM-ish my time (AKA 7 hrs)
Eclipse nodded, staying silent.
(alright. Don't worry about it)
Nik let out a breath, looking up at him. "Done." he said softly.
Eclipse nodded, "Want me to carry you again?"
Nik hesitated, then nodded, looking at Eclipse and letting out a soft, faint sigh.
Eclipse hummed scooping him up gently and holding him close, "Where do you wanna go love?"
Nik leaned into him, closing his eyes for a moment, then opening them again. He shrugged a little. "I don't know."
Eclipse hummed, "Shall we go back to the tent and cuddle again?" he asked.
Nik thought for a moment, then nodded. "Yes please." he said quietly, wrapping his arms around Eclipse and holding onto him.
Eclipse nodded, "Sure love" he said softly, moving to escape the tent, heading bact to the one they'd come from.
Nik held onto him, letting out a soft breath. "Is…how is everything going without me?" he asked slowly, glancing up at Eclipse.
"As well as can be I guess." said Eclipse, "I don't know much about what's been happening in Kevra because I've been busy with near rebellion in Tesh, but it's settled down now." he hummed softly.
Nik nodded a little. "I'm sorry." he replied softly. "It's my fault." he closed his eyes for a moment, snuggling closer to Eclipse.
"It really isn't." said Eclipse softly, "They're rebelling simply because of prejudice, and because I'm changing the power roles. And there's not much you can do about Tesh right now, and I trust Leize has it handled."
(I apologize if I misspelled that)
"But there wouldn't be a rebellion if the kings were still…" Nik didn't finish the sentence, the ache of losing his father still hurting and stabbing at his heart.
"Hey, this power shift has been brewing since the moment I was old enough to become king when and if my father passed. All the noble families knew I'd shift the roles of power to a new noble house," he hummed, "That wasn't your fault."
"Yeah, but…" Nik swallowed. "But Dad's gone and i don't know what to do." his voice was soft and vulnerable and he sounded so, so young.
Eclipse took a deep breath, finally slipping into their tent. "I can honestly say I don't know much about what I'm doing either… I mean, I've been raised for this, beaten into it" literally sometimes "Yet I still don't know what I'm doing." he sighed, cradling him close.
Nik let out a slightly shaky breath, cuddling closer to Eclipse. "Yeah. I have too, but…" his eyes were shiny with tears. "Eclipse, I want him back." he whispered, closing his eyes and trembling a little.
Eclipse hummed, "I can't say I feel the same.." he said softly, wising he had some way to help the other wit this, only able to hold him close.
"I know. Your dad was awful. But I-I…" Nik buried his face in Eclipse's shoulder. He wanted his father back. He wanted back the man who had raised him and loved him and held him when his mother died, who had always loved him even after he killed and hurt people.
Eclipse nodded, "I know… and I wish I could give you something but I can't…" e sighed, cuddling him close.
Nik started to cry quietly, clinging to Eclipse. His body shook a little with his tears, and his face was still buried in Eclipse's shoulder.
Eclipse held him close, but felt helpless to try and comfort him, "I'm sorry…" he whispered, wishing things had gone differently.
