Eclipse nodded, "I love you too Nik," he said again, trying to put as much meaning into his words as possible.

Nik took a deep breath. "I'm sorry that I'm such a burden." he said quietly.

"You're not" said Eclipse softly. "You're really not"

"Are you sure?" Nik asked softly. "Are you really sure?"

"Of course I'm sure Nik," said Eclipse softly, "Really sure."

Nik nodded, leaning into Eclipse's side contentedly.

Eclipse smiled softly, cuddling him closer.

Nik cuddled as close to Eclipse as he could.

Eclipse smiled softly, letting him curl closer.

Nik looked up at him. "Once we reach Tesh, I know that you'll have…a lot to do, but… we'll still be able to be together, right?"

"Of course love" murmured Eclipse, holding him closer.

Nik nodded. "Alright." He replied softly, snuggling close to Eclipse.

Eclipse smiled a little, before letting his mind wander to the many jobs that awaited hhim back in Tesh, particularly the power shifts among the nobility.

Aron came over, holding out two plates of food. He gave them a quick smile. "Are you two planning on sharing a tent?" he asked.
Nik took a plate, and glanced at Eclipse. "I…I think so."

Eclipse hummed, "Of course" he said, taking the plate with a grateful nod. "I thought it was clear that Nik isn't leaving my sight" he grinned a little, hugging him closer protectively.

Nik leaned against Eclipse happily.
Aron smiled, and nodded. "Alright, good." he hesitated for a moment. "Uhm, Nik, I hate to bother you about this, but…do we need the chains again? For the monster?"

Eclipse forced a straight face at that, looking to Nik, "I know that side of you can't hurt me… but I can't control it either…" he said softly, holding him closer.

Nik swallowed. "I…haven't felt it in a while, but…" he trailed off. "It would probably be a good idea." his eyes flickered for a moment, and he leaned against Eclipse tiredly.
Aron nodded. "Alright."

Eclipse sighed a little, he knew why. But he didn't have to like it.

Aron headed off to take care of other things.
Nik leaned against Eclipse still.

Eclipse cuddled him closer with a sigh, "You okay love?" he asked after a moment.

Nik nodded a little. "Yeah. I just…I don't like the chains." He replied softly, looking up at Eclipse. "But they're necessary, I know." He bit his lip a little.

Eclipse frowned a little, but nodded, "Maybe someday we'll figure out another way…"

"Maybe." Nik agreed softly. He took a deep breath, and ate a little.

Eclipse hummed, "Well at least we have something that works," he said with a sigh, "Maybe someday we'll just build our own castle, and our room will be made strong enough to keep you in at night"

Nik smiled. "Yeah, maybe." He agreed, smiling at Eclipse. "That sounds…that sounds lovely."

Eclipse smiled, "Then there'll be no more nastiness, since you can't hurt me." he said softly, hugging him.

Nik reached over to return the hug, closing his eyes and snuggling closet to Eclipse. "Yeah."

Eclipse smiled, keepiung him close as he moved to dig into his food before it got any colder.

Nik ate some of his food, still leaning happily against Eclipse.
