Killian shrugged, sitting down. "Not really." he replied, looking away from her for a moment. "But thanks anyways."
Killian shrugged, sitting down. "Not really." he replied, looking away from her for a moment. "But thanks anyways."
”Why not?” Jade whined a little. ”Would it help if I vouched for you? Because I would.” she offered truthfully.
Killian shook his head again. "It doesn't matter, Jade." he replied slowly.
”It clearly does matter if you think that you can't come back from it.” Jade argued. ”I know that not everyone can be helped. Like Harbinger. He’s just a scummy jerk at best. You, on the other hand, I want to help you. I know I could if you would let me.” she told him.
Killian shrugged. "Jade." he said firmly. "Please drop this. I don't want to talk about my life choices right now, okay?"
”Fine.” Jade pouted, crossing her arms like a child. ”As long as you admit that you're an actually decent human being and not just a villain.” she compromised.
Killian wrinkled his nose. "Fine. I'm a decent human being." he replied with a laugh.
”I knew it.” Jade laughed a little too enthusiastically, blushing a little. ”It’s so cute when you wrinkle your nose like that.” she smiled.
Killian laughed softly. "Mhm. Alright then." he replied. At her second comment, he blinked, raising an eyebrow. "Miss Crowe, are you attempting to flirt with me?"
Jade raised a brow back at his question. ”I… I don't know. Was that flirting? I thought I was just stating a fact.” she shrugged with a slightly darker blush.
Killian wrinkled his nose again. "Sure sounded like flirting." he replied.
”Would it be wrong if I was?” Jade asked softly. ”I know it’s impossible but… I don't know.” she murmured not looking at him.
Killian raised an eyebrow. "I don't know." He replied slowly. "Would it be?"
”I don't want it to be.” Jade admitted. ”But with our choices to be who we are, I know we can't be serious.” she sighed. ”I’m surprised we’re even friends.”
Killian shrugged a little. "Yeah." He agreed finally. "That makes sense."
”I do like being friends with you thought.” Jade sighed. ”I never had someone to talk to like this.” she said before shaking her head. ”Well, there was someone once but that was before I even decided to be a hero.”
Killian nodded. "Yeah. Me too." He replied with a faint smile.
Jade turned her head to look at him with a soft smile. ”You do?”
"Yeah." He replied after a moment, stretching. He sighed softly.
Jade blushed and buried her face in the pillow for a moment trying to hide. It hadn't really been a compliment but… She was just going to blame the alcohol. Letting out a muffled sigh before pulling it away from her face. ”Did you see if the bank robbery was on the news?” she asked changing the topic.
"Yeah, that was how I watched it." Killian replied. "Somebody was streaming it live, and the news got it." he shrugged, looking over at her.
Jade hummed. ”I don't understand why I froze when that man restrained me like that.”
"PTSD." Killian replied with a shrug. "Your body and mind remembered when you were attacked and thought you were back there again."
Jade shuddered at the memory. ”I was afraid you’d say that.” she sighed. ”How do you get over it?”
Killian's face was unreadable. "Depends on the severity." he replied after a long moment. "Some people need medication."
”I don't think I’m that bad.” Jade commented, noting his pause. ”I know they have therapy for this too but… I don't know if that's a good idea.”
He shrugged. "You would need a therapist that wouldn't out you as a hero." He replied, stretching.
“I wonder if that would fall under patient-doctor confidentiality.” she joked, not planning to actually go along with this idea. She knew she had a lot of problems but talking about them to a shrink… She didn't really trust that plan and talking to an other hero was also risky in her opinion.
Killian laughed. "So long as you aren't breaking the law…" He shrugged a little bit. "I don't know, though. Might wanna do some research on that."
Jade giggled. ”I never break the law. I’m a hero.” she smiled a little tiredly before nodding. ”Research is a good idea. I’m good at doing that.”
